I only have the fpdb.db3, should i have all the handhistories? the bulk import doesnt work for the fpdb.db3

how do i reimport my old databse? (~45mb)

The hands I am importing are in Euro, and it seems that they are being converted to USD somehow, though I can't find where there is an option to change any currency settings. Can somebody enlighten me on this. The same hands show different results in HM and FPDB, so it seems that there is some sort of currency conversion taking place.

Is this my best resource for information on how FPDB works, or is there something better?:

Now, after a second look, it doesn't seem that there were currency conversions, but perhaps something related to rounding that made my results look somewhat off. Over a larger sample, the numbers seem to largely correlate with HM2. The rake also seems approximately correct. This is for 4-card PLO, 5-card PLO doesn't seem to be tracking correctly.

Can you define better? Do you mean that the results are more accurate now?

I compared 4-card PLO to HM2, and it was more or less accurate (close enough to say that the differences are likely due to the way some numbers are rounded). However I can tell 5-card PLO is not correct, because the numbers don't add up with my actual results.

4-card and 5-card is the same site, so the rake collection model should be identical.

ive not playing that game, so its hard say something.

may be we (fpdb community) can understand it better if you send some hand history from fpdb and from text file with different results and tell us your actual result (about rake or something)

Thanks for taking an interest in my issue. I will keep an eye out for any irregularities. So far though I can't say what might not be working correctly. Hand histories are displayed correctly from the 'Hand Viewer' tab. Since fpdb is the only software that works with a lot of games, there is nothing to compare it to (Like I said I compared 4-card PLO to HM2 and it's correct).

For what it's worth, it seems to be tracking the individual sessions correctly at the moment, but I will have to keep monitoring it to see if anything shows up. It seems off for the month by a few buy-ins, but it's not entirely impossible that I'm missing some bonus payment or that somehow some hand histories went missing. It seems largely accurate.

I'll keep monitoring the issue, and report back with more detail if I have something substantial.

Actually, just now I tried copying a hand from the tracker to my clipboard, but that seems to crash fpdb every time. This is for version 0.41.0-rc8. I'll consider trying to downgrade in the future.

Ticking the box for 'Show Position Stats' in the 'Ring Player Stats' tab under 'Grouping' just immideately crashes fpdb for me. Has anybody else encountered this?

I'm currently running with SQlite, perhaps it would be more stable if I used MySQL?

Here is the error output if I check fpdb-log.txt after there is a crash:

"2018-07-07 19:16:28,362 - db INFO Connecting to SQLite: C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\fpdb\database\fpdb.d b3"

It seems to me that it is having some sort of issue retrieving the data in question and that leads to a crash.

It says it supports Boss, do you mean Boss Media poker clients? Can't seem to get it to work with Svenska Spel which is a Boss Media poker client.

Are you sure the new client is still Boss Media? I know they made a lot of changes to the client last year, and it looks quite different. Using Google I wasn't able to tell if they changed the software provider or not.

I know from browsing Pokertracker's threads that after the update, the tracker was initially not working on Svenska and so even if it is still Boss Media, it might need to be updated before it works again.
I'm not really sure though, so perhaps someone who is more knowledgeable can chime in.

I asked a friend who plays on Svenska Spel about the client yesterday, and he tells me the new software is not Boss Media.

Hi, I'm new to this stuff so sorry if this question has been asked to death before, but I couldn't find it anywhere. If I'm playing on the FTP skin of Stars, do I check the FTP box or the Stars box on the configure tab? I'm using the 0.041.0re8 version.

FTP should be the correct setting, because you are still using the FTP client. Those clients were developed independently, and FTP was later acquired by Stars.

Look for 'fav_seat' from within the HUD_config.xml file.

Hi, i have some questions, help me please solve them:

1. Sometimes when i click on the HUD with the right mouse button, window "HUD main window" closes and HUD statistics disappear.

2. The same thing happens when I'm put on another table in the tournament.

3. I previously used the FPDB version 0.40.5, how do I import the hand history into the version 0.41.0-rc8?

4. And this:

Windows 10 x64
PostgreSQL 9.3.17
Game: 5 card draw

Sorry for my English.
Thx.

Hi. I can't help you with all your problems, but regarding 3., can't you export the database to text and then import it in the newer version? I'm using 0.41.0-rc8 myself, and in that version you need to go to 'Maintenance'->'Dump Database to Textfiles..'.

Regarding 1. and 2., it sounds like fpdb is crashing, so you probably want to review the error logs after the error occurs to look for a crash report.

Thank you.

After this error occurs, there is no crash report in the error logs.

And one more question:
can i cancel the display of mucked cards in HUD? This makes the window active and hinders when writing notes.

I have exactly the same problem. it occurs if i not exactly click on a stat in the HUD to open the popup (like vpip or PFR) and hit some "black"....
and it occurs as well when I multitable + pt4 is running for holdem games and the FPDB HUD closes sometimes randomly (mostly when I bust in a tournament or SNG).

I would suggest that you observer your behaviour during those crashes. Perhaps you can isolate something that you are doing that leads to the crash and either stop doing it or modify your behaviour.
It could be something like a conflicting piece of software that you are running, or perhaps some software setting that isn't stable.
Sorry I can't be more concrete, but the answer is probably very specific to the setup that you are running.

Hello together,

i succesfully installed FPDB on Ubuntu 18.04 (GNOME) and actually everything is working out. But the hud-windows are shown under the Pokertable (Pokerstars/WINE) and not above it and i can't bring them permanently to the front. Is there any way to bring them to the top?

I also tried out a cinnamon-desktop session, but unfortunatelly it's the same problem. :-(

I would be very happy about some help. Thanks a lot in preview.:-)

Regards,
amDude

Here is a picture of the problem:
