I have the following line in my HUD_config.xml
<hud_ui aggregation_level_multiplier="1" card_back="back03" card_ht="39" card_wd="28" deck_type="colour" hero_aggregation_level_multiplier="1" hero_seats_cust_nums_high="10" hero_seats_cust_nums_low="6" hero_seats_style="A" hero_stat_days="30" hero_stat_range="A" label="FPDBmenu" seats_cust_nums_high="10" seats_cust_nums_low="6" seats_style="A" stat_days="180" stat_range="A"/>

These questions concern the entries:
hud_ui aggregation_level_multiplier="1" and
hero_aggregation_level_multiplier="1"

Q1: Do these entries affect both cash games and tournaments?
Q2: Does changing the entry change the database itself, or does it only affect the way the data is displayed?
Q3: Does changing this have any performance considerations?

I'm considering changing this to "10000" so that all blind levels in tournaments are lumped together.

I do like that it shows stats for a single blind level for cash games, though...

Not the person you're replying to, but this fixed the same issue for me.

However, the HUD is spawning 10 player stats panes and putting them in the wrong places when I'm exclusively playing at 6 max tables. I'm using basically a stock config, Windows 10, Carbon poker.

Based on a quick read of the relevant code, I believe the answer is yes.

Just the way it's read from the database and displayed.

Yes, it will be slower because it reads data from more hands in the database to calculate the stats. Whether it will be slower enough to even notice, I don't know.

Yes, if I remember correctly Carbon = Merge network, and the hand histories don't tell us the table size so we have to guess, and it seems it's guessing 10 just in case you're playing on a bigger table.

You should be able to drag the stats panels around and then save the layout, which might save you some aggravation. I'm not sure if there's a better workaround.

I am using MySQL and have over 450K hands.
There was no noticeable performance hit.

Thanks,

Yes, it's Merge. They might have added it since you build the parser for Merge, but each HH has a seats="6" property at these tables.

Hmm, on further inspection there is some code to match a seats property in there. If you PM/mail me an example hand I could investigate.

Hi thx phil ! Yes I will follow your idea. How should I proceed to wipe the database?
I'm playing on 2 software : pokerstars and winamax. Is there a way not to wipe the winamax database? Is there a way to keep the last 100k hands I played on pokerstars?

Have a good day!

If you go to "help menu -> about, license, copying", you should get a dialog that tells you where your config file is. If you open that file in a text editor you should find a line near the bottom like this:

Code:
<database db_ip="localhost" db_name="fpdb.db3" db_pass="fpdb" db_server="sqlite" db_user="fpdb" default="True"/>
If you change that db_name="fpdb.db3" to something else, say, db_name="new_fpdb.db3", FPDB should make a new database file for you under that name next time you run it. The database files are stored in the "database" folder next to the config file, FYI.

Then if you want to look at your current database again, maybe import all your new hands into it, you can just change that back to db_name="fpdb.db3" again.

Recently I went up from 0.40.5 to 0.41.0-rc8 and bumped to the same issue with my antivirus software. Since my computer is a part of a managed group I am not able to add software to the white list. Thus this morning I reported HUD_main.exe as false positive alert. In an hour I got an email from Symantec that they investigated the file and removed from their alert database. It will take up to 72 hours to refresh the whitelist, but finally I will be able to use it.

So, this is the way you can do besides the local exception settings.

I'm having some difficulty with configuring the HUD. I tried to edit the hold-em default category in-program rather than by editing the xml. It didn't save the stats I selected, but it did remove the stat abbreviations and red-white-green coloration that seems to come with it by default. Now I can't get any of that back, even if I delete and re-install FPDB. Can anyone help me with A. getting those features back, and B. getting it to save the stats I pick? Thanks!

A: If you go to "help menu -> about, license, copying", you should get a dialog that tells you where your config file is. If you delete (or rename) that file, FPDB will generate a new one with the default values next time you run it.

B: Sorry, I don't know how that bit works. I use the 'edit xml directly' method.

Hey all,

I'm trying to reset the HUD back to the standard hudd just because when I changed the stats I don't have the colours. I've tried changing the HUD via the notepad edit way but what ever I edit in there it does nothing. Could anyone help me or even just guide me in coding colours mainly for the vpip and pfr.

Thanks

Check out phil_r's response to me a few posts up - it worked for me. (Thanks, phil_r!)

I'd also like to know how to edit the displayed stats without losing the default formatting, though.

Not sure how I missed that lol I was looking on this thread for hours. Thanks it did indeed work for me. Now all I want to do is add a few stats to the original.

I've been editing the wrong HUD_config file I believe I'll let you no if I manage it.

Thanks for your help

I've managed to edit my hudd while keeping standard stats also changing when the colours change ect... You have to edit the HUD_config from the location phil_r's mentioned.

Let me no if you need help
