I'm about to upload a pre-release test version of our new HUD. There have been a lot of bug-fixes and improvements to the HUD.

I suggest that you install this new version and see if the problem has been fixed - Please hold on for a few short hours while I get the release ready.

A pre-release (test) version of fpdb is available. This version should fix many of the issues with the current HUD, for example, Moving and Resizing the poker window should be much improved.

This software is still being developed, so there may be some problems.

The configuration file for this new version is NOT compatible with the current software so please take care to remove/rename the existing config file before starting the test software.

The test and live software cannot be used at the same time - if you want to stop testing, the configuration file used for testing must be removed/renamed before returning to the old software.

**** just got serious ! Play a few hours with fpdb, hud then start lagging and missing on pokerstars. Is this problem related to postgresql memory issue?

Kinda tilting when i desperately need those huds on final tables, gonna try the new release suggested!

Yes, it is possible to have a custom popup content for each stat. Some examples have been pre-configured and it should not be too difficult to customise additional ones. The stat_sets> "popup=" setting points to a customised section in <popup_windows>

I'm new to FPDB and seemed to have installed everything correctly. I'm using 888poker and FPDB is collecting Hold'em and even Omaha hands with no problem to view it in the Hand Viewer, etc... but I still can't get the HUD (one of the main reasons I use Softwares like this) to show up, even though FPDB is collecting hands with no problem. Here is a small copy of the log

Why is it searching for Lewisville 6 max, when on 888poker there is no "6 max" on the table windows's name???

Thank you for your efforts, are great. (Excuse me my language is not native) I tested the pre-release version 0.39.1 and found the following erros:

1. When open the Main tab a error message`s "Unknown Site" "Warning: Unable to find site ´Enet´ and similar with site "Bovada". I click "ok" and all right.

2. The stats "Call to Raise" (car0) is not working, always is in "0"

I like me so much this versión, mainly because I have a dinamic HUD and popup with more information. Thank a lot for that!

A question: there are two stats for continuation bet, one in stats ring "conbet" and other in pupop default like "cbet" (obvious, other like cbet1, cbet2... are for streets), what is the difference between both?

Other question: How I can use Postgresql like my dbserver? I use WXP and I have installed Postgres v. 8.4... In the menu, Database tab / Maintain Databases the only option is SQLite... in before version I saw other option like MySQL or Postgres. Is possible configure that in this new version?

Ok I tested the HUD to see if it works with Tourneys in 888 and in Tourneys it shows up, but I still can't get it to work with Cash Games :-/

You can ignore this warning. It will disappear when you re-create the database (but it is not necessary to do that).

Thanks for reporting - this is a bug which has been fixed today and will be fixed for the next release.

the "cbet" statistic in the popup is the total cbet situation for all streets. (Total number of cbets done on all streets, divided by Total number of possible cbets situations)

Yes, Postgres or Mysql can be used instead of sqlite.

The configuration file setting for postgres is commented-out in the file. Begin by editing the HUD_configuration.xml file in folder %appdata%, goto the <supported_databases>, move the comment markers from the postgres section to the sqlite section, and setup the database connection information.

Instructions for setting up databases are on the fpdb helppages at sourceforge. (fpdb.sf.net)

Maybe don´t can explain: What the difference between stats "conbet" and "cbet"? The firts it is "Ring Stats" and other in popup default.

Now I have 200k hands and I believe maybe the SQLite would can crash, but yet don´t have problem with the database neither other data. Only the pc is some slow or time for waiting the results. I did read an article about the installation of PosgreSQL, but now I don´t found it! The wiki only explain supported database. Excuse me, do you know or remember that link?

Finally, a suggest (is only for view): The label of HUD menu is better, because is short, but only say "FPDB", perhaps for new users name it "FPDB Menu" is short and compressible. I did do it, but I think other people don´t know how do it.

It's a flash based site but there is a text based hand history viewer so it seems at least theoretically possible.

I have a sample of hands for this site and plan on adding support for it this month.

1) how do i modify the bat file to take the configuration file from another folder than appdata?
2) where do i send some HH files from ftp that crash bulk import for u to investigate? they are 27td HH

OK, my mistake, I did not read your question -- so cbet in popup default is the cbet situation for all streets and conbet in ringstats viewer is the same calculation (also all streets).

The postgres setup commands and fpdb configuration should be the same on windows.

Ignore the stuff about installing dependencies - this is not needed because all dependencies are compiled in the fpdb exe.

Agreed, good point. I was trying to save some space but I'll change the default to "FPDBmenu" for the next release.

the last hand display move me automaticly the table that was played in, and dosent allows me to go to another tables till the display disappear. can i cancal that option or fix it?

And another question, I've been auto importing hands for 24 hours now, is this normal or something is going wrong?

Checking the statistics I now see that it hasn't imported a single hand.
I guess it just imports the hands as they are being played. Isn't there a way to import previous hands other than balk import one file at a time though?
