Is it possible to allow the name of the textfiles to be longer, i.e. full table name? The program now seems to cut off the file-name at 22 characters. Especially in tournaments, table names can be very long (i.e. "$40.000 Guaranteed MTT (13293949) Table #32").
This sounds like a possible bug, as the names should be OK upto 1000 characters. I will try to look into this for you right now (I have a feeling it is something to do with '(' symbols, but been a few weeks since I coded this and can't remember how I detect the end of the table names.)
This has been fixed now: see v0.02.

connection drops when switching user accts

speaking of using multiple user accounts, my internet connection (dialup) drops every time i switch accounts.
Even when both accounts are Administrator, and I have "fast user switching" enabled (XP) which allows all programs to continue running in all accounts. Is there some setting I need to check/uncheck to keep connected? I'm using the windows xp internet connections to dial directly, not any isp software.
Thanks

I'm afraid I can't help with this. I have a cabal modem and have 2/3 XP accounts running stuff 24/7 and never experience any net problems (CPU load problems sometimes though).

Perhaps somebody with dial-up may have encountered this before and know how to fix it?

connection problem solved

I posted in the comp tech help forum here and it was quickly answered by CubicZirconia. For anyone else using dialup with same problem, see:

Re: FPHG v0.01 available

again, awesome thank you so much.

How do I set up pokertracker to import these files automatically? I read something about naming a file empire.exe, but didn't quite understand.

What is the name of the program you use to make sure you've always got an active table open? I don't think I can still run partymine with this.

Also I read that someone had 25 tables open. How can that be if you can only open 12?

Thanks in advance!!

Steps required to use FPHG

Quote:

1. Make a folder for mining somewhere.
2. Copy an execuatble into this folder and rename it EmpirePoker.exe (or another skin you don't use).
3. Copy FreePHG.exe into this folder also.
4. Open up some tables (see below).
5. Start running FreePHG.exe from your mining folder and you should start to see .hhf files appearing for the tables you are watching.
6. When you want to import these hands, point PT at this folder by pointing it at the EmpirePoker.exe (it will then think this folder is the empire folder and [auto-]import from their).

(Thanks the Adde for working out this method! )

The program (really its a AHK script, but its cool - better than PartyMine IMO) you want is called iWitness (its main discussion thread is (here).

I think you need to use multiple Windows XP user areas for this, and just mine 4 extra tables in each user area (I wouldn't risk multiple Party accounts after the ZJ thing). To be able to do this you will need a pretty fast PC, and I am not even 100% sure yet how this will work as FPHG is pretty CPU intensive, but a few are likely trying it and we should get some feedback fairly soon.

BTW: How do you open 12 tables, I can only do 10?

Nice work!

Sry if i havn't read trough the hole thread for this question, but i just imported 15k hands that i grabed with this program on 5/10 SH. But they were importet as fullring b/c of the lack of SH-tag. Is there any way to mark them as SH i PT?

Re: Steps required to use PHG

I think this already caused other people a few problems (see here).

I just grab the HHF as party makes them, and I not sure why they removed the 6max tag from inside the HH files, there just seems no reason for it?

Just figured out a way. Dont know if you allready knew it. I copyed the .hhf files that FreePHG generated into the PartyPoker folder and used the auto-import with the "treat as 6max" button checkad.

Re: Steps required to use PHG

I think the problem is when you come to export/re-import this data. I not sure if PT adds the (6max) tag to the HH files as it imports them and it may get very confusing at a later date if you have mixed 6max and FR games.

This script should help, as it modifies the actual HH files so that they are marked as 6max (like they were before the update).

FreePHG v0.02 with verbose enabled by default-obviously uses more memory...if I do extended mining sessions could this be a problem ? I guess we'll find out.

It should be fine, but if you ever manage to mine more than 1000 tables in a single run of FPHG then there is a limit (I gota fix this eventually, but never thought anybody would manage to get past this limit).

Hopefully verbose by default will make it a little clearer that it is actually running and doing stuff, as few people were put off by the blank screen I think!

Nice tool, but it is using so much resources and is slowing me down considerably.
Is there anything I can do?

Yes, if you have a fast PC then their is no need for it to eat so much CPU time.

(1) You can either run the batch file to try to reduce the priority of the process (making the CPU load still heavy but still prioritizing other tasks over FPHG).

(2) You can use the -d option to give back more CPU cycles to the system.

Its a fine balance though between missing hands and using a lot of CPU, so you will have to experiment with different delays using the -d option (try using values like "-d 1000" or "-d 1500" and see if you start to lose hands).

In general the faster your PC the better, and also you should have plenty of memory as if some of the memory gets paged to disk, FPHG will run much slower and be much more resource hungry. Also the number of tables opened does not have such a great effect on CPU load.

Looks like using the batch file makes it work well.
Thanks!!!

LOL, sad thing is, I bet a lot of us here have some really nasty designed websites that are still published from back in the day. God knows I do...

Hey Sam, there you are! I got my first AHK template script from your site, and when I finally began to fool around with it I forgot from where I got it. Therefor, no props from me to you before, but here they are. Thanks.

That was quite funny and two damn ugly sites. Anyway, just want to thank you all hard workers out there for coming up with such nifty tools as iWitness, Blinder and FPHG. Thanks, thanks and thanks.
