I'm not going to be playing poker tonight so would appreciate some feedback on whether this works or not (if it does I'll package a new release).

Juk
so we should replace this new .dll and still be using

USE_ACTIVE_MODE = 1
?

Oh I see, looks like if we replace w/ that new .dll we don't need to use active mode, awesome work!

Yeah, the DLL should make passive mode work properly again so no need to use (the more CPU-intensive) active mode.

Juk

EDIT: I see where the confusion came from - I said "OK, I think I've fixed active mode" above when I meant passive mode... Edited it to be correct now.

Hello

I have a question concerning FPHG. I use the programme already quite a while and it has worked really well for me.
Yesterday I accidentaly deleted the folder Handhistories in the FreePHG folder. After going back to the tables on PP it seems that the programme didn't create the hff files anymore in the folder. I can't seem to figure out what the problem is

Anyone can help me out?

Regards

Andy

I got it fixed myself. It seems that active_mode was set to 0. :-)

The hhf files are getting imported back in the folder and also the betting is working. But after like 10 minutes it just stops working. Only way to fix it is to reboot the partypoker. I didn't have this problem before.

thx

Try using the DLL I posted above - should not need to use active mode with that.

I copied the new DLL you posted into the FPHG folder and rebooted FPHG but it didn't work. However, it did work once I set ACTIVE_MODE = 1. Any idea why?

Same here. Using the latest freephg version.

I've got the exact same files on my desktop which runs win7 and laptop that runs vista and with vista fphg doesn't grab hands without active mode on (1).

on win7 everything works smoothly even on active mode 0

Make sure you download v3.05 and have it installed - the DLL is version specific so the DLL I posted above will only work with 3.05 and no other versions.

I've added the changes to v3.06 and uploaded it to the main FPHG page: http://www.jukofyork.com/freephg.htm

CHANGES - v3.06:
1. Fixed passive mode to work again after the 5/7/2010 Party client update broke the old code.

I can't get the 3.06 version to work in passive mode neither the 3.05 with the new dll.

Is it working for anybody?

I am using v3.03 with the new dll you posted here and active mode 0 and it works so I dont want to update (win7)

I can test the new version on my laptop that has vista for you since no one is reporting
08-08-2010 , 12:38 PM
For me works only active mode and only "run as administrator". Version 3.06, Windows 7
08-08-2010 , 01:59 PM
v3.03, new dll, active mode=0, xp-sp3 seems to work for me.
08-08-2010 , 04:55 PM
downloaded the .DLL but it does not appear to be working. HM imports the hands as "Incomplete Hands"

EDIT: Since updating it appears neither passive or active mode work for me. Active mode was working before the .dll change

Can't get this to work - is Party still downloading HH's? I can't seem to locate them anywhere.

Is it possible to downgrade back to 3.05? I can't find a link on the site

I don't think 3.05's passive mode will work at all as Party made a pretty fundamental change to the MFC version they are using.

3.06's active mode should work exactly the same as 3.05's - no code has been changed within FreePHG.exe (which is responsible for all of the work active mode does) - the only thing that has changed is the version number was incremented.

If both of 3.06's modes are not working then try this (in this order):

1) Manually delete the FreePHG folder (restart your PC before this step if any of the folder is "locked" and refuses to delete) and reinstall.

2) Check your FreePHG.ini file is using the same settings as you had before (recent versions of FPHG delete the ini and replace it with a new one to be sure it's using the current set of ini settings - this has the side-effect of meaning your ini settings get reset each install).

3) Check that you are running everything in "admin mode" (both Party and FPHG if necessary - see the FAQ for more details on running AHK scripts with Vista, etc for details [I still use XP so don't know much about this]).

4) Check that the DLL injection isn't being blocked by your firewall/antivir. Check that your antivir/antitrojan isn't bocking the windows messages the injected DLL sends to FreePHG.exe (it uses these for it's "Inter-process communication").

The only possible problem I can see people might run into (which I can't easily test because I still have a 32bit OS) is for 64bit systems; both active mode's method of scanning memory and passive mode's method of IPC might not work on 64bit OSes...

If anybody else is experiencing problems then please try the above steps and see if that helps... If you still can't get FPHG working (on a 32bit OS) after trying these then please report back and I'll see if I can find the reason.

Also, please report back if one of these solves it (or you find another reason not listed...) as it may help others who have the same problem!

Hmm very strange as 3.05 was working fine in active mode before I updated the .dll. I will try all steps first thing in the morning and report back. As a side note I am running 64-bit.
