I have a configuration suggestion, nothing major or urgent, but it would be nice. I would like to use FPHG for observed hands only (since I'm obviously saving my own hands), but still get the benefit of scripts that need it to run. Ideally, the .hhf files would be saved only for observed hands, and the .live only for played hands. Would it be possible to add this option ?

Yep, I can prolly add this as an option, but it's pretty hard now to change the default behavior of FPHG as several other apps and AHK scripts rely on it staying the same now.

Try doing what this thread suggests:

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...d.php?t=146731

It's the simplest way to get PT to import the hands that I can think of.

Juk,
I was screwing around tidying up folder locations etc and I think somehow I must of moved FPHG. So now when I start it up the "You must make sure that the Party client is closed before exit etc etc" window is opening on startup. It won't minimze and sits there on the taskbar. FPHG will still import hands- I am just tucking it off screen. I uninstalled and reinstalled but it is still happening. What do I have to do to get rid of it?

Thanks.

Just restart your PC, find where the FPHG folder has moved too, delete it and re-install. Also, I think you must have an older version as that message shouldn't come up on the current version, so make sure you download the new version before trying a re-install:

Still happening, I had the current version before- anyway, I cleaned every trace of FPHG off my PC, restarted and did a fresh install, then started it up-

As I said it's working so no drama...

That's very strange. I thought I'd commented out the bit of code that displayed that message, but it must be still in there somewhere. Have you tried installing FPHG in a new folder and using that? It is possible for the FreePHG.exe and/or the TestDLL.dll files to get locked by the OS which can cause half of one installation to hang on while another is reinstalled (I doubt that's your problem though as the code that displays that message lives in the EXE part).

I'm just about to start playing poker, but will try and take a look later to see how that message can be appearing.

Tried to PM this to Juk but his box is full:

Is FreePHG supposed to grab the entire hand? I'm having a problem on two computers where it only records this:

Sorry, forgot to clean out my PM box - thanks for the reminder.

From your post, I'm not sure what is wrong: is it stopping right after the "** Dealing down cards **" line, duplicating the same hand over and over or stopping after the "** Dealing Flop **" line?

You've got the same strange problem as HighSteaks had (see a few posts above). I'm not really sure what can cause this, as IIRC the piece of code to display that message is commented out (). The only thing I can think is that part of an old FPHG installation has not been properly overwritten.

Try restarting your PC, then manually deleting the FreePHG folder (and all the files contained in it) and then reinstalling FPHG again. If that doesn't work then try installing to a completely different folder than you had before and see if you get the same problem when you run it from their.

when I'm running FPHG it slows down my pc after a few minutes. so my mouse is hooking and all programs are running slower. but my cpu and my ram are not using their full capacity. is this problem normal ?

I am getting the same error message that Peter gets one page prior to this one. "FPHG live file not found for game #" . It always post the number of the last game after the #. But the file of the last hand is still replaced by the current one. So I understand that it doesnt found it. But it should search for the current hand ... .

I am using XP and my regional settings are still US. The Hand file looks fine to me. Decimal Point is "." there and its recorded correctly in my opinion. Platform is Partypoker. I am using the BetPot version from overcards without any changes and the actual freePHG release. Tell me if you need more Infos. Hope you have a suggestion what is going wrong.
09-07-2008 , 10:56 AM
I have found a solution in another forum. Looks like party has changed the naming of some objects in the past. To fix the issue you have to change the following code in the BetPot-v0.2s.ahk:

1. Replace Static11 with Static10
2. One line is missing

if (fphg_uselive)
{
ControlGetText, handnum, Static10, ahk_id%id%
StringTrimLeft, handnum, handnum, InStr(handnum, "#")
StringReplace, handnum, handnum, `,,, All
StringReplace, handnum, handnum, .,, All
StringReplace, handnum, handnum, %A_SPACE%,, All
;Msgbox, %handnum%
hhf := fphg_party_hh_folder . "live\" . handnum . ".live"
}

;Msgbox %hhf%
FileRead, hh, %hhf%
if not ErrorLevel
{
ControlGetText, currenthand, Static10, ahk_id%id%
StringReplace, currenthand, currenthand, `,,, All
StringReplace, currenthand, currenthand, .,, All
StringTrimLeft, currenthand, currenthand, InStr(currenthand, "#")
StringReplace, currenthand, currenthand, %A_SPACE%,, All
currenthand := "Hand History for Game " . currenthand
;Msgbox, %currenthand%
StringTrimLeft, hh, hh, InStr(hh, currenthand, true, 0)-1
IfNotInString, hh, %currenthand%
{
TrayTip, BetPot,`nParty HHF reader`n`n%currenthand% not found in file %hhf%,10,17
Exit
}
;Msgbox, %hh%
}

3. Replace Edit3 with Edit2 (everytime it occurs in the PartyTable Sections)
09-23-2008 , 06:20 PM
Anybody using FPHG with BetPot should make sure that they download the new version of FPHG. Party decided to change the string "all-In" to "all-in" in their hand history files and since FPHG uses that string to detect new data, detecting the wrong string will cause the FPHG output to "stall" if a player goes all-in (until further action/rounds occurs after the all-in).

The new version of FPHG (v2.13) fixes this problem by matching against the new string properly, but I would expect quite a few people to start reporting problems (and probably blaming them on BetPot itself) over the next few days. Classic symptoms of using the old FPHG version will be smaller than expected pot-sized bets when a shortstack goes all-in just before you act.

If you are not using FPHG for BetPot and are just using it for data-mining, then there is no real need to update as it won't effect you at all.

Juk

PS: If any other utilities rely on the realtime output of FPHG (HM?) then can you also make sure that they are warned about the problem.

I can't see v2.13 listed on your site.

Oh, just downloaded the v2.12, and it now points to the latest version.

This is pretty strange. I've looked again and it definitely says: "FreePHG V2.13 - Free Party Hand Grabber" and "The latest test version can be downloaded from here: FreePHG version 2.13" when I look at it? It must be some kind of proxy cache problem or something.

Site is ok now for me. Like you say must have been some sort of ISP caching.

Cool. I just hope it didn't do the same with the installer and people thought they were getting v2.13 and they actually got 2.12

It does say the version number if you hover your mouse over the tray icon or look in the "About" text, so anybody who downloaded this yesterday would be advised to double check the actual version they are using.

Juk

Downloaded v2.13 for me, even when the link was saying v2.12.
09-27-2008 , 05:21 PM
Party has now reverted back to using "all-In" in their hand histories so FPHG v1.13 is now broken. Rather than reverting back to v2.12 I've just called it v2.14. If you use BetPot then you need to make sure you get the new version (as before pure datamining will be unaffected).

You can get v2.14 from here.

(I've actually left it so that it can match either string now, just incase they decide to go with "all-in" again...).

Hmmm,I just got a new machine Juk and I can't seem to get FPHG working.I have v2.09 on my desktop and it works fine.I downloaded the latest version so unless your having troubles with v2.14 I don't see the point in uninstalling/reinstalling v2.09(as thats whats working on my other machine)
I have followed all the steps as normal and created the fake IntertopsPoker.exe but the FPHG_Handhistories file is not picking anything up.I tried switching from:
hhf/.txt
But this has not helped.

Ideas?

Is FPHG writting the files and it's just PT2 not picking them up or is FPHG just not writting anything itself?

If it's FPHG at fault, then try deleting the whole contents of the FreePHG folder and reinstall and reset the FreePHG.ini settings on a fresh install. If it's the DLL "locked" problem (which can stop the install from updating the DLL) then you might have to restart your PC to be able to delete it.

It could just be something todo with the random disappearing buttons/crash problem that seems to be effecting FPHG with the new client. I've been thinking how best to tackle debugging it as it runs fine on my PC (making it very hard to debug, and since it doesn't seem to effect datamining; frustrating for anybody who wants to test it for me).

Juk
10-13-2008 , 06:45 PM
I'll try reinstalling it Juk as the program itself is not creating any files.

Like I said I have v2.09 and that works fine,so maybe it was a problem with the install(although I didn't get any error messages which usally you do when you have a failed install on vista machines)
