If you still have the images handy, would you mind re-posting this in the new FPHG PT related thread:

Juk, why not just quote it in the new thread?
In case the replies get directed back to here...

This thread has got to the stage where its pretty hard to ever find any information after a week of it being posted (and now V2 makes a lot of the info/problems in here redundant).

Juk,

I mean hit the "Quote" button, copy the text in the textbox, close thread, hit "Reply" to your own post in the other thread, paste, edit in thanks to HotPants (HP), hit submit

No links back to this thread - neat guide posted in new thread, or am I missing something?

LOL - up early or up late? I'm up (far too) late - or are you not in the UK (as your location suggests) anymore?

Yep, still in UK and 5:30am seems to have crept up on me without noticing!

glass onion,

Try simply moving the intertopspoker.exe file to

C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop\FreePHG\FreePHG_HandHistori es

And don't forget to go back to poker tracker and point it to the new location of intertopspoker.exe

As for a donation, I'd be very happy if you donated whatever you are comfortable with to charity 'in my honor'

If it's all the same to you, either of these look good:

For what it is worth, when i double click on my intertopspoker.exe file it says that the file is not a valid win32 applicaiton, whatever the hell that means.

excellent, that is what is supposed to happen

Please see the FPHG Version 2 thread.
Until I get more time to look into fixing FPHG V2 (if it is even possible), then I have updated a version of FPHG 0.7 to work after the new upgrade:

http://www.jukofyork.com/freephg.htm

Beware: It uses ALOT of CPU time (as hasn't been optimized at all, does a very simple hack to turn Unicode chars to ASCII, and the string alignment boundaries have been reduced from 8 to 4). It may also miss many more hands than older version of FPHG 0.x because of the increased CPU usage.

Juk

PS: I'm afraid I just don't have enough time atm to put into fixing FPHG V2. The old memcpy hook no longer works, and I've quickly tried every string function I can think of without success... If anybody else wishes to try, then all you need is a copy of APISpy32 and try to find an API call which is passing the strings around (ie: the old Party client used to pass them through memcpy and strlen). If you find the correct API call then I can update FPHG V2 to use it, else it will have to wait until I get more time (it should be possible to trigger a hardware breakpoint and backtrace to an API call also, but Party "times out" in the debugger before I can set the breakpoint on the hand data atm and it will take more work to do...).

Just tried it using an Intel Core2 1.83 Mhz and CPU consumption always stay under 10%.

Fine enough for me.

Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback. If anybody has problems with it then you can always use the "-d" option to balance between missed hands and CPU usage.

Also, I'm not sure about the new German HHs. I'm guessing it won't work, but I think it will just be a case of translating the "player X wins ..." line into German.

FPHG V2 is back working again as far as I can tell (had to rewrite the whole thing using some of FPHG V0.x's code, so maybe new bugs...).

It won't work with German strings (perhaps later I can add a codebase for all languages Party supports, but atm only English).

It also misses the 1st hand like FPHG V0.x does, but nothing I can seem to do to fix this (does PHT miss the 1st hand?).

I posted a test version here (v2.03d). Can people please give it a try and tell me if you have any problems with it asap, as if it's working OK then I plan to add back in these options from FPHG 0.x:

"-o" : Observed Only
"-v" : Verbose mode (via a log file)
"-6max" : Make fake 6max hands.
"-e xxx" : Use different extension other than ".hhf"

If possible I will also add an option to split HH files after every X hands (to make PT chug less when importing them).

Is their anything else I have forgotten? If so now is the time to tell me, as I REALLY want to put FPHG to bed for a while and get on with the work I should be doing instead...

Is FPHG V2 working with iWitness? Or does it have the ability to open and close tables itself?

All FPHG does is save the .hhf files; it doesn't open/close any tables. I'm not sure if either iWitness or SafeMine work after the Party update (I've not played at Party for ages and stopped mining after the USA fish left).

If SafeMine is broken I might be able to fix it, but I'm afraid I've no idea when it comes to iWitness.

Someone in German Forum did a fix on iWitness.

And by the way....That link is down http://www.jukofyork.com/freephg.htm

Yep, I'm not 100% sure why. It's hosted on a dedicated server, so most likely it'll come back on line within a few minutes.

Juk

EDIT: Still not back online yet... When it does come back online, you should see my 2+2 avatar return also (no avatar = no server).

Thanks. Can others who couldn't get FPHG V2.01 to work try this and tell me if it now works for them? I have a feeling their was a bug in the old code which should be fixed now.

This would be a great thing.

Try setting FPHG up to save the files at ".txt" rather than ".hhf" or try setting the path for the ".hhf" files in the "Observed Hands" tab.
