Thanks. Makes sense. Not positive how to zip files (or if I have the software, but I'll search around google, download.com, etc. to figure it out.
Windows:
(1) select files with mouse
(2) Right-Mouse-Button, Send To --> Compressed (zip) folder
Thank you. I downloaded Coffeecup zip or something like that and just used that program, but maybe I'll delete it and use Windows instead in the future.

Probably already been asked, but once I have all the .hhf files, how do I make use of them with PokerTracker?

I can't figure out how to edit the .bat file to treat the HH as 6-max and save as .txt

Extract the whole zip to a folder. Right click on run.bat and click edit. Make the bat file look like this:

@echo off
freephg.exe -6max

Then make sure you run FPHG by running the batch file and NOT the exe by accident!

Can anyone help with the PokerTracker part of this? Do I just cut/paste the .hhf's into the folder where I save my imported HHs and then "force import"? Does that work?

^^EDIT: Have d/led Empire Poker, copied EmpirePokerMaster.exe into FPHG folder to get PT to import from there, edited FPHG to treat everything as 6max, linked PT to auto-import .hhf files from the FPHG folder. I have iWitness keeping 12 tables open.

I'm pretty sure I did everything correctly, but PT still isn't importing anything, and I can SEE the .hhf in the folder.

Sorry, I'm not much help when it comes to using FPHG with PT, but you could try doing the same with a dummy PokerNow.exe maybe? (If that doesn't work, then you could try asking in this thread).

Another alternative is to just output the files as .txt using the "-e txt" option, and then run FPHG from inside of Party's "/HandHistory" folder.

could you add an option to start wrting to a new .hhf after a certain number of hands?
for example, after 1000 hands in Table 12345.hhf it begins writing to Table 12345-1.hhf, then after another 1000 it goes to Table 12345-2.hhf, ...
Sorry if I forgot to reply to this the other day!

Yes, this is on my ToDo list and I'll add it to the next version - just not had much time recently to work on any of my projects.

juk,

First, thanks for the work. Second, I've gone through a lot of this thread and can't find any help with this:

I edit the batch file with whatever parameters, but when I click on the run.bat, as opposed to the exe, it doesn't run. It flashes up the little command line screen, but immediately closes.

It could be that your parameters are not correct, try this:

@echo off
freephg.exe <your options here>
pause 0

This will make it pause before stopping.

It might also be that you haven't got the CLI stuff installed for XP, so you could try this instead:

1. Create a shortcut to freephg.exe
2. Edit the properties of the shortcut.
3. In the box which says "Target" add the option you want (just as you would in run.bat).
4. Run FPHG by using this shortcut.

I'm on Win 2k Pro, not XP. The shortcut method works, so editing the .bat is kind of moot, but in case you're curious...

I edited the bat as specified, and now in the command line box it gives me a "Press any key to continue..." prompt. I hit a key, and it closes. I extracted the zip file to partygaming/party poker/ blah blah, and haven't moved anything around since then. So the folder has another folder called v0.06, then the exe, the readme, the bat, etc. The .bat doesn't need to be moved anywhere right?

Like I said, since the shortcut method works, its kind of academic, so no worries.

Yep, you did everything correctly, it's just that on your system the extra stuff needed to run command line programs (command.com etc) isn't installed.

If the shortcut works though, then it does just the same job, so all should be ok now.

make sure you have the right boxes checked on the "observed hands" tab. also, you dont need to make a copy of empire.exe to import hands, just use the lightning bolt and tell it which folder you run FPHG in.

Thanks Juk!

A couple things...
1) I am not seeing mucked hold cards in the hhs. Am i supposed to be? And if so, any idea why i'm not?

2) I have been running FPHG along with iWitness for about a week now. Yesterday as i was playing i got a popup message from party that asked me to enter a verification code in order to show that i was a live player and not a bot, specifically referring to bots not being allowed to play on their software. Any idea what this is all about?

from what i've read, bot verification is pretty common for people running autohotkey while they play

As far as I know then mucked cards are only included in HHs where you were actually playing?

The bot test is normal and I'm pretty sure it's not triggered by data-mining.

Couple of questions...

1. If this is running while I am playing will the hands be imported twice? i.e. once from the actualy party poker software and once from FPHG?

2. On the auto import page there is a tab for observerd hands and I can put these hands in a seperate database.. will this function correctly?

Completely unrealated how in the hell did I get the nick martingaler? how are these chosed?

PT should recognise the hand #'s and not import the hands twice, so this shouldn't be a problem.

It should do. The .hhf files are exactly the same as the old .hhf files that Party used to write, so as long as PT hasn't been changed, it should still work just as it used to do.

I'm guessing it had something to do with this post.

They changed the title of the lobby from "EmpirePoker:" to "EmpirePoker.com:"...

Should be fixed now if you goto the FPHG Page and download version 0.06b.

BTW: I have just recompiled Mogobu's test version where he did some further optimizations (see V0.07b), but so far I've had no feedback and haven't been playing at Party myself for a a while. Any feedback on v0.07b would be helpful, as until I get some feedback I can't really commit it to a new version (and the dual version is confusing).

Hey NP (it was only a very minor change and easy to fix!). Any feedback would be great too, ty.

PS: I also just updated my compiler to VS2005 rather than my old VC6, but if anybody else wishes to recompile the source on VC6 then all you need to do is use the old string functions (strcpy rather than strcpy_s, etc), bin the VS2005 project, and insert the main .cpp file into a new VC6 project.
