So I'm using PHG_v0.7 (I have the same issues with v0.6) with PT. I've done the suggested modifications which is to move the PHG folder to PartyGaming/PartyPoker/HandHistory folder and to edit the run.bat file (-e txt). However, I am still unable to have the HH imported using auto-import. It reads the file, but 0 hands are imported. I see the .hhf file for the tables in the PHG folder. When vieving these files, I see the HH being written to the file. Despite the -e txt mod to the .bat file, I still see file extension as being .hhf as listed in the PHG window when executed. It seems that by looking at all the other posts dealing with this issue, no one else seems to have a problem with PT HH import once these changes are made. Am I the only one to demonstrate that these mods are not idiot proof (lol)? Surely someone will pity this fool and provide some guidance.

I used these steps exactly and everything worked out fine.

Quote:

Modification to instantly grab Party hands.

Unzip the folder and moved it to:
C:\Program Files\PartyGaming\PartyPoker\HandHistory\FreePHG_v 0_06

Open the folder and locate the run.bat file.

1. RIGHT click on run.bat, choose EDIT
2. Change the text to look like the text below:
@echo off
FreePHG.exe -e txt
3. Go to file->save & then close it

What that run.bat file does is open FreePHG and change the custom option to write .txt files instead of .hhf files - the .txt files can be auto imported using the party auto import function

Open auto import like normal and you are good to go.

Thanks to Brandon (TheStation) for this mod.

First make sure you are running FPHG by running run.bat and not by running FreePHG.exe (sorry if that sounds obvious, but several people had problems because of this).

If those steps don't work, then it could be something to do with the way Windows XP is setup on your system for running command line applications. This should work:

1. Make a shortcut to FPHG (using copy + paste shortcut options).
2. Edit the properties of the shortcut and in the box where it says "Target", add "-e txt" onto the end (ignoring the "'s) [you can add any options into the target box in just the same way as you edit run.bat].
3. Then run FPHG using the shortcut, rather than the batch file.

Hope this works - Juk

Yep, that is it. I new it was an idiot thing. Running it from the .bat file cured me. Thanks alot.

I downloaded PHG and was datamining party lastnight. The program was grabbing hands and pokertracker was importing the hands but pokeracehud wasnt showing the stats like it use to when partypoker allowed datamining. After about 30min of observing table I sit down and after 1hand pokeracehud stats came up, showing all the stats since I started observing. Shouldnt pokerace stats come up while only observing table? If so, any idea of what Im doing wrong?

What version of PA Hud are you using?
06-27-2006 , 10:26 PM
will v0_07 work with Poker Office or does it only work with Poker Tracker??

It should work with either (it's just a version Mogobu optimized, other than that it should be just the same as v0.06).

Juk, I forgot if I thanked you for FPHG. So in case I haven't, thanks!

Well, I just downloaded it and am trying to figure out what all the fuss is about. Since I've seen nothing but great reviews, I guess I should take a second to thank you in advance just in case I forget after I figure it out. Very much appreciated.

As I understand, datamining is not allowed by party, and i'm sure there are ways for them to detect such a program, should I be worried when I use it or is it quite safe?
07-04-2006 , 10:21 AM
Party seem to not be bothered by use of FPHG, but I can't say for sure. Its been working for about 4-5 months now, and they made no attempt to block it or stop it working via any of their updates (and they definitely know about it).

There was also another thread a while back in the Zoo, which suggested that they didn't mind data-mining (somebody asked them on the PP cruise).

Even so, use at your own risk - Juk

For some reason my fphg only opens up 4 tables when there are obviously more qualifying tables available to be opened. I have max tables set on 12.

I think you mean iWitness only opens 4 tables? (FPHG just does the scanning - iWitness does the opening).

Is it just me or is the zip file linked to in the original post corrupt?
07-07-2006 , 01:05 PM
Some people have trouble with opening the zip directly off the server. Try downloading it to your machine, and then unzipping it.

Yep, I'm not sure why it does this (something to do with my old free host I think).

Either way the zip in the OP just contains a text file with the new URL for FPHG (here).

Is it ok to erase the .hhf files after PT has uploaded them? I assume it is, but figured I'd ask first.

Yep, but I always keep mine just incase PT messes up and corrupts its DB (this has happened to me before...). If you ZIP them up, then they don't take up much space (way less than < 1/10 of the DB).

Thanks. Makes sense. Not positive how to zip files (or if I have the software, but I'll search around google, download.com, etc. to figure it out.

could you add an option to start wrting to a new .hhf after a certain number of hands?
for example, after 1000 hands in Table 12345.hhf it begins writing to Table 12345-1.hhf, then after another 1000 it goes to Table 12345-2.hhf, ...
07-10-2006 , 09:26 PM
nvm! gf helped me figure it out. for anyone who in the future may run into this problem: add the parameters (such as -e txt) OUTSIDE of the quotes in the shortcut's path.

quick question for anyone who may know:

when i try to add commands to the run.bat file it has no effect on FPHG.exe. i also tried adding -e txt and -6max to a shortcut path of fphg.exe but i keep getting a path not valid error (all i did was add "-e txt" right at the end).

any ideas anyone?

Windows:
(1) select files with mouse
(2) Right-Mouse-Button, Send To --> Compressed (zip) folder
