Cool, I just wish I knew why my zips sometime break for some people...

Hi Juk,

I'm having a hard time opening Party clients on multiple windwos accounts. Let me outline the steps I took.

1. Make a bunch of accounts on windows.
2. Install Party on all those accounts.
3. Try to open Party on all those accounts.

Is there some trick that I'm missing?

Are you trying to log into these accounts? You can only log into one of them (for 10 tables), and have to make do with just 4 tables for each of the others.

Also FPHG needs to be run in each of the accounts.

No, I'm just unable to open the clients on each account for some reason. Like, I click on party gaming, and it just doesnt work.

Hmmmm. This only happens to me if I try to open Empire and Party at same time, but lots of Party is ok.

If you goto to farthest right menu option in Party, what "Build Number" does it say you have? Party sometimes do a non-forced update and you might have a different version to the rest of us?

create a shortcut to Partygaming.exe in each windows account and put this as the target.

"C:\Program Files\PartyGaming\PartyGaming.exe" -P=PartyPoker

or go into the partypoker folder and run Runapp.exe

Sorry, my fault for not reading the post properly: "2. Install Party on all those accounts." - I didn't read this bit.

Making a link to Runapp.exe in each user area is what I have also been doing.

How would Party go about detecting it and how easy would it be for the developer to change the program name or process names in various updates?

BTW - works perfectly. Many thanks.
im pretty sure Party would target iWitness before FPHG, since it actually interacts with Party's software.

Yes, if Party did want to stop FPHG from functioning, their are alot of really simple things they could do to make it harder for us to actually watch the tables.

I'm using the lightning bolt icon to import played and observed hands, which works fine apart from the fact it keeps giving me the error about not being able to read notes.txt. Any way to fix this please?

I think all you need to do is run FPHG from inside of the HandHistory folder, this was notes.txt will be on the level above.

This thread is so long, I couldn't read through all of it. I am curious how do get the FPHG program, or whatever program I need to be able to get observed hands from party poker. The link does not work for me.

hey juk,

thanks for the great program. If I have observed tables going as well as playing at tables, will the hands i play be recordered to tracker twice?Once, by fphg and by party/pokertracker?

thanks ,

Yes, but I will add an option to make it only dump observed HH if asked (somebody else asked about this in another thread just today). I will try to add this tomorrow if I get time (pretty easy to do and only a 5 min jobs I think).

Is there any good way to speed up FPHG without risking losing too many hands? I'm running it on a fast Athlon with 2 gigs RAM at the same time as PT and PokerAce, and it's slowing PA down to a crawl... (great program tho btw)
04-18-2006 , 05:06 AM
What am I doing wrong? I Downloaded the .zip as well as the .rar, both are only 54/52k big and corrupted.

First make sure you have the latest version.

Try adding a longer delay:

freephg -d 1500

Something like that, but you may risk missing more hands.

Both are only very small files, so the 54/52k sounds about right, but I am not sure why they are both corrupted.

Did you use IE to dl them? If not then try using IE, and also try installing the latest version of WinRAR and see if that helps.

If all else fails then you can always mail me and I will send via an attachment.

Well in the light of the other post about the Party Handgrabber loophole, I decided to release my own version of this for everybody to use.

I hope by doing this that this puts an end to all the profit making from this loophole (which I personally think is wrong). Some will not be happy that I released this, but I personally believe this is the 'correct' thing to do, and I am prepared to stand up and support my beliefs...

As was pointed out in another post this really is not a hard thing to do or code up for somebody with a reasonable level of low-level coding knowledge. I spend about 1/2 a day on this, but right enough it doesn't have a flashy interface and it a typical "Juk Hack" for want of a better word.

The zipfile, along with the source can be found here (Right click and use "Save as").

Make sure you read the README.TXT file first, as it mentions some of the problems you may encounter while using FreePHG.

Any problems then just PM or email me and I will try to help. Also, if anybody finds some neat fixes or optimizations then please share. Like I said before I didn't spend long coding this up and their is alot that could be done to improve it.

Juk

PS: This is one of "my" zip-files on my free host - Feel free to re-host and post a new link if there are any problems with downloading it.

edit: changed title to slightly appease the secrecy camp.
edit: twice.

Hi mate! Congrats for the great job! The only problem is i can not download anything from the link that you gave in your Original post. Can you please tell me how can i download your program?

Thanks

If you put the thread into "thread view", and look down the list of sub-threads, it says very clearly the address of the new home page for FPHG. I used a "Heart" icon to make the sub-thread stand out even more, and every time I released a new version I used a "Floppy Disk" icon to make that stand out too.

I seem to get 2/3 PMs each and every day asking the same thing from people who have only read the original post and not bothered to read any others.

There is a huge thread which says "Steps required to use FPHG", and I also get asked each and everyday stuff which is in that subthread.

I would urge people to at least read the titles of the sub-threads to see if any might help them before sending me a PM, as their is a vast amount of info contained here and almost every post is either a problem or solution to a problem.

Alright, here's a problem I'm having. I've read through pretty much this whole thread and did not see anyone else with a similar problem. The program is writing a file for each table I have open, as is expected. The problem is that it is only writing a fraction of the hands that occur at each table. For a table that's been open for the past 20 minutes, it has recorded three hands, and the timestamps are each 5-6 minutes apart. Each time my PT import runs (every 5 minutes) I only get 5-6 new hands. I have a brand new, fast computer so I don't think there is a problem with FPHG not getting the required processing power. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

I agree, nobody else seems to have had this problem before (or at least as severe as this).

Are you using the batch file or running the exe directly? (by using the run.bat file to run FPHG it puts it into low priority mode which could do this).

Here are a few things to try, I will list them in order:

(1) Edit run.bat to the following:

freephg.exe -d 0

(2) Edit run.bat to the following:

freephg.exe -p 2

(3) Edit run.bat to the following:

freephg.exe -a 1

Then use run.bat to run FPHG rather than running the executable directly. If you don't have CLI stuff installed for XP and can't run the batch file, then just make a shortcut and add the options into the "target" box.

If it turns out to be (1), then try using a larger delay like:

freephg.exe -d 100

and slowly increase this until the problem kicks in.

If it turns out to be (2), then this will just mean something else was eating the CPU time and you need to look into what is running on your system.

If it turns out to be (3), then it means the alignment of hands is different for your system. If this is the case then post here and I will tell you how to make a log you can send using the -prof option.

I hope one of these works.

Juk

EDIT: And sorry if I sounded mad in may last post as I am always happy to help, but I just had maybe 10-15 PMs and emails in the last day, all from people who couldn't be bothered reading the thread...
