I've uploaded the new version: http://www.jukofyork.com/freephg.htm

CHANGES - v3.05:
1. Fixed a crash-bug that appeared after the 9/6/2010 party client update.
2. Fixed two possible 64bit compatibility issues (one effected "active" mode and the other "passive" mode)

Please try this out if you ever experienced the crash bug (or if you couldn't get FPHG to work on a 64bit system).

I'm hopeful that the crash-bug fixed in v3.05 is the fabled crash-bug from 2009 which I could never get to replicate on my system (until today!).

I fear the day when juk decides to quit poker and all related activities, including support for fphg. Will test it out later!

didnt have any problems with FPHG.

the client froze a few times but hmhud.exes cpu usage was 0 so i assume it was the partys own freeze that has been going on

It's worth keeping an eye on it as the new method I used to check if parts of memory are readable will cause more CPU time to be used within the Party client's process (I'm not really sure how much more yet, but I don't think it will make a huge difference).

not sure if it's bet pot or FPHG, but a few times now it goes from working great to saying "no FPHG live file found for game #" and not able to find the game number.

is that a BetPot issue most likely?

If possible have a look when it says this and see if the file is there - it could be a delay in FPHG writing it and BetPot reading it, or might be something else.

Actually it just occurred to me that you could be using an old version of BetPot - does this problem his soon after you get the fade-in/fade-out tournament advertisement popups on the tables?

just a quick question, did party ever take an official stance on allowing freephg?! i tried searching this thread and only could find something from '06.

Also do you guys login while mining or is that considered too risky!?

I think they tolerate it... I've never heard of anybody getting in trouble for it in the 4 or so years it's been around.

I think the main reason they stopped writing out observed hands themselves wasn't to stop private datamining, but to stop PokerEdge which was basically trying to hold their customers to ransom.

thx for your quick reply juk

http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...king+with+FPHG

tried to follow this / dl'ed freephg 3.05 (have hm 1.11.01)... started the .exe and fired up a few tables...

when i look into the handhistories and live folders, i can see the files being created, but its not importing into HM... any idea what I'm doing wrong?

fwiw tried setting up the live tracking to /live and restarting and /handhistories and restarting

when i manually import the files (/handhistories) via the "import file(s)" button it works just fine

I'm not really sure - you're best bet is to ask in the HEM thread or on the HEM forums (if FPHG is writing the files OK then the problem must lie with HEM).

If you look in the BetPot thread then there is a fix for this (possibly the newest BetPot script posted is the one that works?). If you can't find the right one then make a post in the BetPot thread and ask if anybody knows the post # it's in and if that fails you can always try to PM _dave_ directly.

yah but the newest betPot doesnt work for me, I've tried it over and over. so I'll have to go in and figure out what code needs to change for the tourney pop-up thing.

Im gonna double check that that's exactly when its breaking than googo to work

thanks!!

Hi, I get the error message: This File Contains Invalid Data, when trying to install the latest version v3.05. I tried to install it also within Windows XP mode.
I was still using v2.09, but on one of my computers it stopped grabbing.

On my other computer the install program works, it runs XP not 7.

Updated from 3.03 to 3.05. Vista 32b business, run as admin.

-Exit no longer works for me (need to kill the process from Task Manager)
-Installing overwrote my FreePHG.ini file
-> lead me to use Passive mode (I had the crashing problem earlier)

Thought I'd give this another try. Do you know if the bug you fixed only affected tables I played in, or observed also? Thinking about observing a ton of tables for a while to see whether it's stable.
06-13-2010 , 02:51 PM
Yeah, ok, well, the Exit started to work.

Got a freeze when flipping though my tables and almost did the "Kill-Party-Fast-And-Try-To-Reconnect-In-Time" trick but since I was only mining, decided to try and wait it out. And it came back in about 10 sec or so.

Is this the kind of stuff that can be expected, or is the FPHG/Party crash always completely killing the Party client?
FWIW, I had PT3 autoimport and HUD on at the time. Do your earlier comments about HEM hud actually causing the Party freeze also apply to PT3?

This was using Passive mode, now I'm back to Active.

The freezes are a problem with the last Party update and not anything to do with FPHG as far as I can tell.

I've noticed something: I do not know if FreePHG uses the chat to capture the hands as other capture programs, but now the chat does not show player actions.

Example:

Quote:
**Please use English**
#9380649404: XXXXXXXX wins USD XXX $ from the side pot 1 with three of a kind, Sixes.
#9380649404: XXXXXXXX wins USD XXX $ from the main pot with three of a kind, Sixes.
#9380651429: XXXXXXXX wins USD XXX $
I dont remember if the chat showed player actions before...

Did today's update break FPHG for anybody else?

Sorry, I can't really do much atm as just moved house and my PC hasn't been put together yet... It'll be a few days prolly before I get chance to do anything with FPHG if it has broken.

Fix it when time allows.

Thanks for the program,
corp
