Cooler Hunter. Coming Soon. Cooler Hunter. Coming Soon.

Hi. Our name is Pokerchups. We are a team of poker players and software developers.
We have been working on a bit crazy poker tool. And now we are pleased to announce it.

Cooler Hunter Tool (Freeware).
It is conceptually new and what is more, the most objective way of measuring poker luck.

You should know that cooler EV=0.
And the problem is that All-In EV or Street by Street EV graph* will go down if you get a cooler which doesn’t turn to your advantage. It will display that EV of your decision is negative while it is equal to zero. But the Cooler EV Tool solves this problem by cutting coolers out of the EV.

So this is a program, where you are to set which situations should be calculated as coolers according to your playing style. As a result, you will receive “Cooler Hunter EV” graph.

Also, it has an ability to build some well-known graphs:
- Overall/SD/Non-SD winnings
- All-In EV
- Street by Street EV

Besides, Cooler EV will have an easy-to-use feature for sharing graphs with your friends and posting them to blogs/forums.
So you will be able to publish yearly reports to your blogs using our tool.

We will not go into details until the official release.
The reason is that we still have a lot of things to finalize and we don’t want to deflect our attention away.

So boost us with additional energy. Say that you are interested and will be waiting for the tool.

Cooler Hunter.
Сoming at the end of December on www.PokerChups.com.

*To get Street by Street EV (also known as Sklansky Bucks) graph we calculate EV for each street separately at the first step and sum them at the second.

2+2 does not allow URLs as you nick: please contact Bobo Fett and ask to change your nick.

If you do not contact him within the next 1-2 days we will be forced to ban your account temporarily (until you contact him) so it's best to do this ASAP.

Sounds interesting. Assuming it pulls the data out of the HM/PT db? Will definitely try this out when its available

TY for question. Your guess is right. It will run of your Holdem Manager/Poker Tracker 3 database.

Hi again. The deadline grows closer and it seems we have not enough time to finish by New Year, but it is still possible and depends on number of bugs.
Anyway, we want to show interim results.

Street by Street EV
To get Street by Street EV (also known as Scklunsky Bucks) graph we calculate EV for each street separately at the first step and sum them at the second.

Cooler Hunter EV
Cooler Hunter EV is the same thing as Street by Street EV, with the exception of that expectation value of streets, which goes after the moment when cooler happens, is calculated as zero.

Sliders set the bottom level of preflop starters/postflop combinations, clash of which would be considered as cooler.

Can your program provide the actual numbers of the Street by Street EV, including your EV for each street, or combined % to win for each street, in addition to the graph which looks good.

There are no complicated analyses in our plans up to the second version inclusive. We make something innovative and we think that simplicity is the most important. Anyway, we pay attention to your interest, so it could be under discussion later.

A program called SECT already provides a EV for all showdown hands for HEM users.

I haven't use SECT, but judging by its description, Cooler Hunter will cover large majority of SECT functional.

We have to apologise for release delay. Will be ready to start Jan. 10.

We have met some unforeseen problems. Forced to delay again.

Also we have decided to release first version with wider functional than it was planned earlier. So it is hard to name new schedule times.

With apologies,
PokerChups team.

Does it mean that people will post graphs with dozens colourful lines?
weee can't wait

Hey good job man, really cool idea. It sucks going hand by hand and adding the numbers manually when you've had a bad session and think "WTF, I wasn't play this bad!" and see you're at even EV.

Hows this going? Looks really cool.

Hey, Guys. Sorry for disappearing. Some problems are forcing our walk to be slower. Anyway, the project will get it over and will take its place. We are glad to see your pending. We hope we will be able to start beta-testing before the middle of the next month.

We highly appreciate any activity in this thread.

Looks nice and good and most things are clear, I hope there will be some manual explaining what everything means etc. though.

Also it would be nice if CH could have a list of hands in the selected cooler category you could see (but maybe that can be done in PT/HM just as easily)

TY! Clarity was the first priority while creating user interface. There will be question-buttons (some of them you could see by now) near all the incomprehensible objects. You will be able to click them to pop up a window with all the necessary information.

Colored buttons you can see on the right panel are not separate categories. They work like sliders, where you are to set the bottom level of starters/combinations, clash of which should be considered as cooler. For instance, selection “AAKKQQ” in preflop cooler button-slider means that preflop all-ins AAvsKK, KKvsQQ, QQvsAA, as well as AAvsAA, KKvsKK, QQvsQQ will be calculated as coolers. And it doesn’t matter whether you were leader or underdog in these situations. So it is hard to place there any additional info (I mean somewhere right on the buttons or near them).
But we were thinking about separate detailed cooler statistics report like
.
But current algorithm does not collect this data to solve current problems. So it is question of future functional.

Last steps. It has some visual bugs, but we are going to improve them after beta publishing. The rest seems to be working correctly. We will get down to server-side code in about 3-4 days.
I will ask moderators to close this thread and allow me to create a new one.

Does it support HUSNG? It would be a great resource to analyze the game

I'd like to be one of the testers if possible.
