What's the point of keeping track of real team stack in live poker via app?

I'm using Poker Bankroll Tracker to keep track of live results. I always log the buy in and cashout and the end of every session.
I noticed there's a feature "Start Live Session", that lets me update stack size, number of rebuys and tips to dealer.
Is it worth the trouble? I imagine after a while it might help me notice optimal session time(?), but other than that, is there any merit to it?
