I don't know, why doesn't someone make a calculator in which you enter the numbers but have to wait before you get an answer? No one would want it.

Not a great analogy because of the implications.

Other software like Odin has a 20 second delay.

You mean that feature that they are now advertising is no longer there?

In a perfect world, sure, all solvers would agree to have a delay so that they couldn't be used for RTA. (Probably need to make the delay longer than 20 seconds, but hat tip to the effort.) But clearly, the delay was hurting sales in some way, or they wouldn't feel the need to remove this characteristic.

As far as I know, GTOWiz does have a delay in some circumstances. When a friend sent me a link to a particular postflop spot, I remember having to wait 30 seconds or so to view the solution.

I wish GTOWiz and similar products would do more to combat RTA, but at the end of the day they're trying to run a business and customers aren't going to want to pay $40/month for a subscription if browsing the solutions is a slog.

Ultimately, it should be up to the poker sites to detect and punish RTA use. Since most poker clients are basically spyware anyway, surely it would be very easy for a site to detect if someone has GTOWiz open in a web browser while playing.
