I saw a post somewhere here about what appeared to be an infinite loop. i.e scanning the same table over and over. I can't see if it was addressed but I want to just pass along what I have found.

I can reproduce the looping. What happens is that there are a few stakes where if you set the filters just right they will be the only tables in the list. Most other times you will have a mix of stakes. In those cases where there was only one stake, once the scan gets to the last 5-6 tables, the loop would start. What looks to be happening is that when the table drop-down opens, the lobby no longer scrolls and you cannot get to the last tables. When I adjust the filter to have more than one stake in there and therefore giving the lobby more items in the list to scroll, TST moves right through there just fine.

Yeah, I think that the player label color that will show in the background of the playernames on the table image in the lobby can sometimes mess up TST's reading of those extra players. TST doesn't turn off cleartype when it loads, but it does turn it off when you press scan, and back on when the scan is over

Maybe try restarting your computer and see if that helps, I know it sounds stupid but it does seem to have an effect on the lobby, it should be working in Aero

Are you doing anything other than manipulating ClearType on scan? I have had CT turned off for a while now, but still when TST scans, I see the text on other parts of my system change. Once the scan is complete, I can mouseover the some of changed text or "dunk" the whole window and some of it is back. Still some remains unchanged until the next repaint event for that window.

weird. I had restarted the last time, but it didn't work. it seems to be fine now, but it seems to be a little laggier in aero (ie takes longer to scan). Is that possible?

Scanning Zoom player pools does not work for me. I have set up a scan filter for NL50/6max and when i start the scan, tst always stops scanning at the NL500 6max pool.

Did i overlook some special zoom settings?

edit: I changed the lobby theme to Black and scanning works fine now. Is there a way to scan zoom pools when the Classic lobby theme is selected?

Well, i'm turning off a windows setting called "fontsmoothing". I always thought it was the same as cleartype but I did observe the same behavior in aero with cleartype turned off (that font smoothing could still be turned off), so I guess it's 2 different things. I am working on a dll injection method which means TST wouldnt have to turn off fontsmoothing but I get random characters just thrown into the regular text so that's a difficulty, also using that method I can only read 5 players at the moment. I've messaged some merge reps and got nothing that definitive but seems like they think they're working on fixing it to show more than 5 players in the playerlist, one guy said he thinks they will have a fix for that in 2-3 weeks.

I can't think of anything in TST that would cause that behavior, maybe Merge was just lagging a little at loading the playerlists? I have seen that happen here and there

I'm not sure if this is an error or working as intended but when I am scanning with auto waitlist enabled every time it joins a tables waitlist the scanner goes back to the first table on the list (in pstars lobby) and quickly scrolls back to where it was. Not sure if that made sense or not. This is only a problem when scanning a long list of tables as the extra time it takes to scroll after every waitlist adds up to quite a lot.

Sorry for the delayed response, glad you got it working I've been working on a dll injection method for scanning merge and I have the beginnings of it working really well, that will eliminate all these issues with cleartype and aero and whatnot, although unfortunately it still can't read from the table image without an OCR, which I guess means the cleartype issues will still exist until Merge shows more than 5 players in the playerlist, which they are supposedly working on doing. Right now I'm just going to go ahead with the release of v1.0 this weekend and then I'll finish implementing the new method in the days after that.

Yes it is working as intended, due to the multi-threaded nature of TST the scanning process isn't waiting around for the database results, so when the database results come in and decide to join the table it jumps back up to look for it. It's something I have been wanting to try and improve and make a little faster especially on stars and I will be doing that in the near future

Zandry, whats the latest on releasing V1.0 and pricing for it? Will you also offer affiliation?

I have a problem with the auto-wait list feature on ipoker (Boyle). If TST scans and finds a suitable table, it tries to seat me and the ipoker "do you want this seat" pop up appears. It is impossible though to click okay because TST is still scanning the ipoker lobby and is now very slow while this popup is open. The only option is to cancel the scan, take the seat and restart the scan.

Thanks, I will try to look at this again in the next week or so. There is already special code for iPoker where TST is supposed to check for those popups and pause the scan when theyre open. That definitely works properly when a "seat available" popup is open before the scan starts, but seems to not work as well when it opens during a scan, so I'm pretty sure I can fix that
