Scanning doesn't appear to be working for me. Lobby gets fuzzy like it is trying to scan, but nothing actually comes up in TST.

Sorry about that, unfortunately I have just realized that this version will currently only work in the "Windows Classic" Windows theme when using Vista/Win7. I assume it will work properly on WinXP regardless of which theme you are using but I have not tested it. I will be working on adding support for the font in the regular Vista/Windows 7 themes tomorrow. If you need to use it tonight, do this: Right click your Desktop > Personalize > Windows Classic. Make sure you restart the lobby afterwards.

Yeah it worked when I switched to Windows Classic, which brought back some good memories. However I played for 10minutes and then quit because I can't stand that theme. Ill just wait for the next update.

Well one thing to consider is you don't actually need to change the theme permanently. All you need to do is switch to windows classic, open merge, then you can switch right back and it will keep the same font as long as you have merge open. But yes I should have another version ready tonight for use on the standard vista/win7 themes

Merge: there seem to be a few players whose player names is listed as ".." or "....." - what does that mean?

I think it might be TST misreading the top of the "Seat Open" button on the table image on the right, I'm not sure yet, but I will figure it out today

It should now work properly with any windows theme, I also significantly improved the speed of opening/joining waitlists, and fixed some other bugs, like the "...." player names. It will also work for PokerStars.es and PartyPoker.es if anyone is looking for that

new version not working on the aero theme I picked, so I went back to classic. also, Merge only seems to be showing 5 people only at each table (even for 9 seated games), so only 5 people max showing up on the scans.

I know the issue why it didn't work on Aero, that's just a small thing. But with the 5 players at each table, I am seeing the same problem too now. It is related to cleartype, it's not turning off on the right table list, but I really thought it was yesterday. Are you sure it was showing 9 players yesterday? If so they must have changed something. I reposted the build from yesterday if you want to try it but it has the same problem, only 5 players. The only way I can figure out to get it to work correctly now is to turn off cleartype I'll be working on it again tomorrow of course

Ok, I have figured out a way to get it to run properly. Close Merge. In Windows, Turn off Cleartype, by clicking "Start" and typing "Cleartype" in the search box. Then, run your Merge lobby. Now you can go turn cleartype back on. Now TST should work properly as long as you leave the lobby open.

I'm gonna be working more on it tomorrow, especially the bug where it might still try to choose the old font when on Aero. But regarding this cleartype issue (where it will only read 5 players if you start merge with cleartype on), it is extremely difficult to read cleartype fonts, and it's very adjustable, so even if it worked for one person it might not work for others. From what I have heard the lack of a playerlist and only showing 5 players in the list is Merge's #1 complaint and they are already working on fixing it to have a standard playerlist in the lobby. So I don't know if it's worth the huge time investment it would take to do it, I think people who want to play on merge might just have to get used to turning off/on cleartype before a session for a week or two or whenever they get their next update out

The thing is it's not really in a 100% finished condition right now, I'm still working on it every day, so I feel like I cant release an official forced update in it's current state unfortunately. Plus I'm planning for the next update to be to 1.0 in a few days

I agree it's a horrible workaround, but there is no other choice at the moment, someone told me he heard that the lobby only showing 5 players in the list is one of their biggest complaints and they are planning on fixing it. I wrote a post asking about it here but I haven't gotten a response yet:

One other thing to consider is I do have special code implemented where if a playername ends in ... it will attempt to search your database for their real name. So, if that feature is working correctly (I think it is) then the playernames that end in ... should only be people you dont have hands on

I have postgresql installed with HEM database. The error I get says, "Could not connect to database! failed to establish a connection to 'localhost'.

Maybe try using "127.0.0.1" without the quotes instead of localhost, see if that works. Otherwise that is really strange, could it be a firewall issue or something like that? If you press CTRL + Alt + Delete and open the task manager are there "postgres.exe" processes running in the process list?
