** Stox Combo Freeware Release! ** - Page 2 - Poker Software -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums

After installing I try to open up the program and keep getting this messege "component 'comdlg32.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid"

I've also tried installing the beta's and I'm getting errors on install. Somebody know how to fix this. I'm running vista btw.

Sorry never meant to imply that but would not be the first time someone hijacks a reputable posters login and then posts something to capture passwords etc just like to be careful.

Most people using this will likely be serious players who have rolls worth stealing.

hmm, I uninstalled and reinstalled on W7 and it worked for me. What error do you get? I remember something about copying some dll's manually. If that's your problem I can look on the stox forum archives for the solution.

I did that. Ran the command prompt as administrator: regsvr32 %Systemroot%\System32\comdlg.ocx.
I get this error:

"The module "C:\Windows\System32\comdlg32.ocx" failed to load. Make sure the binary is stored at the specified path or debug it to check for problems with the binary or dependent .DLL files. The specified module could not be found.

I'm running W7 64bit through boot camp on a Macbook. Thanks.

i installed it but when i try to start it(i use winXP SP3) i get this error:

Are those files missing from your system32 directory? I've uploaded comdlg.ocx and the dll from my system32 directory so chuck them in and see what happens. If you still having problems, pm me as I don't check this forum very often.
