when i try to install the new functions.ahk it gives me an error.

Make sure you have the StarsBuddyList.ahk script closed when you download the new functions.ahk script. Even though the window is closed, the script may still be open. Look for the icon for StarsBuddyList in the taskbar. If it is there, right click on it and choose Exit.

If this doesn't solve it, let me know what the specific error message is.

The new update of StarsBuddy works with the new PokerStars update. If you run "PokerStars.exe" and not "PokerStarsUpdate.exe" and haven't updated your PokerStars, the new PokerBuddy doesn't work.

Click on "Info". That will give you a history of every edit ever. Very handy feature.
Then just click on 'Raw text' or whatever it's called.

Cheers guys, all working perfectly again. I was really missing my BuddyList!

I get this same problem and same error (except mine starts at line 758), and I downloaded the files today and put them in my current AHK folder (along with the latest Rolands functions). I also downloaded the latest AHK today too. I read through the thread, and thought I caught everything, but I guess not. Anyone know why it's not working?

All I see is "Ogastes". Can we find out who the troll is and kill him?

I think overcards.com anti-spam software is stripping all manner of crap from their trollings, and we are just left to look at their name.

PSA: You can always click on the "Info" link at the top of the page to view previous versions, should a spammer have just had their evil way before one of us has fixed it

No... that kind of error is usually caused by a dated AHK version, but you say you have the latest... Could you post the exact text of the error msg (Ctrl+C while the msgbox is active to copy the text).

Ok, I think I got it worked out. I deleted all the files and redownloaded them, and also reinstalled AHK. (I think I may have updated to the latest AHK with some AHKs open last night, and that may have prevented it from correctly updating)

does this not work with PostgreSQL 2.x?

I added ";C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.2\bin" to the end of my $PATH because StarsBuddyList wasn't working, and now I get errors from PT and PAHud. They both say:

"ptrack2.exe - Entry Point Not Found
"The procedure entry point X509_STORE_set_flags could not be located in the dynamic link library libeay32.dll"

thoughts?

if nobody knows, what exactly does the $PATH modification do? and how might it affect PT/PA?

wow those are some weird error messages

The $PATH environment variable is simply a big list of locations in which to search for executable commands. It is very unlikely to affect PT / PAHUD. If it is malformed, maybe it can cause these errors... please check it for typos.

Can you put the $PATH back the way it was / does this fix the errors?

Ptrack2.exe is the main application of PokerTracker

And libeay32.dll is part of the OpenSSL library, used for secure communications by all manner of apps - something you don't want broken I'd imagine.


I suggest you do a "System Restore" if possible, hopefully it will put things back to working.

Backup anything you value beforehand, of course.

if i delete the ";C:\Program Files\PostgreSQL\8.2\bin" from the path PAH and PT both work fine. the error message for PAH was the same, except the "ptrack2.exe" was "PAHud.exe", btw.
