No, but you can get there with a little work. Using the Range Explorer, I see that there are 6961 hands in QQ**. We want the top 20% of those, or approx 1392 hands. With a little experimentation, I came up with "QQ**&6%" (generic syntax: "QQ:6%"), which is hands with two queens in the top 6% of hands - there are 1386 such hands - close enough.

Hope this helps,
bachfan

This may be a silly question, but I am curious and didn't see it anywhere. If I do a stud simulation on the website, say **Ah vs 5d5cQc, it does 600K randomized trials, and I get a result. If I enter the same simulation over and over, I get the exact same result. Is this because you save recent simulations? Use the same RNG seed? Something else?
Just curious, thanks.

bach,

I hope you dont think I'm wasting your time cos I'm v interested in purchasing the pro version of the product.

I already have HEM, flopzilla, pokerstove and stox ev. Why do I need to purchase the odds oracle? How can it help my learning which the others dont cover?

First things first - there is a free trial so you can try it out (http://propokertools.com/odds_oracle/trial_license_key). In addition, there is a brief overview video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vxBfGzSb-uE) to give you the gist of the program. You can also get an idea of what people have been doing with it at the following forum: http://forum.propokertools.com/forum...-ProPokerTools

I think what sets the Odds Oracle apart is that it is a flexible platform for answering Poker Probability Questions. The goal is to make it possible to answer questions of the form "Given situation X, how often is it the case that Y?" for as many X and Y as possible. I believe it does most of what pokerstove and flopzilla can do today, in addition to a lot of other stuff. It is not a tool for constructing decision trees a la stox ev.

Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha-8, Stud, Stud-8, Razz, 5-card omaha (aka Big-O), and 5-card omaha-8 are all supported, so if you play anything other than hold'em you will be well served.

Hope this helps,
Dan @ PPT

Thanks bach, I had a quick look at the vid. The actual oracle definitely looks really useful.

I was wondering more about multiway pots. Just in general is there a graphing option for say your hand/range against 3 other players inputted range on a given flop in NL? Stoxev is v useful for headsup pots but not so useful multiway so was hoping this product could help in that respect. Can you suggest any features that could help with my game?
10-26-2011 , 06:02 PM
Yes, you can graph one hand against any number of hands. There is support for hand vs hand(s) graphs (where all the hands are in effect face up), and hand vs range graphs (where opponents have ranges). Just use the "Graph" button on the main window.

I was thinking about the odds oracle. Can it answer questions along the lines of given that the opponent has called a 4-bet, and there is an x SPR ratio. The flop has just come a, b, c, who has the best equity (if we have the option of inputting the opponents ranges)? Or who has the best chance of winning the hand given this flop texture and stack size?

Odds Oracle 1.7.1 is out (http://propokertools.com/odds_oracle)

New this release:

Percent of hands for five-card omaha games
Improved db performance when importing hands from PT3, HEM
11-14-2011 , 11:42 PM
I played a little with the trial version.I gave Player1 a random hand and asked the oracle this question :
"Given that the flop is monotone on the flop. How often does at least 1 Player has a three flush on the flop?" The answer is: 62%. I guess it should be 100%. So I ask myself if the other percentages are accurate or why this failure happened? Maybe I made a mistake and asked the oracle nonsense or did another failure? So are there many known bugs? Because the software seems really good, but if I can't trust all numbers I will maybe not pay for it. Anyways I will test the oracle with some normal poker math questions.
