Hey. I'm a very regular user of the software, and recommend it to everyone but unfortunately there is one big bug that I think needs to be sorted above any others for me:

When you use a weighting preflop, then group ranges you get the option to apply nested weightings to the groups. If you select yes, then the ranges are correct when you go back to the window - great. If you select no, then the groups have more combos than the parent range - useless, but sure, why not have the option.

When you return to the range grouping tool however, the grouped combos now have the nested weighting applied. This means that:
1) you can no longer use the select remainder tool, which is a huge time saver, unless you repeat the entire process of allocating combos again and recalculate the nested weights when you leave this tool.
2) alternatively you must use the absolute weighting, which requires a lot of meticulous manual calculation

Given that the main thing I use this for is allocating hands to different ranges across multiple streets, the effect of this bug is that I only use weightings for narrow range spots where it is absolutely essential. So effectively, there is basically no weighting option for my purposes.

My annual licence is up for renewal in the next month and if you could look at this soon, I would be happy to snap renew.
Cheers.

Hi LucasVienna,

you're right, this seems to be a litte bit confusing. We will think about it.

Meanwhile you can use instead of "OK" and closing the handrange window the option "Apply" to overwrite the handrange in the main window and keep the handrange window open.

best regards, nipo

P.S. ... We can implement a solution, that to original range is remebered by the main window in background in order to take the correct range to the handrange window again.
But what should happen if you change this range in the main window by textual input? ... discard all changes an take the remembered range?
other ideas?

Can you please make the software compatible with the PS client? With Flopzilla you can keep it open while playing and consult your ranges, but it won't do any equity calculations.

The support for randomized mixed frequency ranges in PE is great but not being able to use it while PS is open kinda defeats the purpose.

I'm using this again and am subbed monthly. I just wish you guys would address some of the customer service issues when trying to set up a sub here but all in all - I still love the product and it's still the best software for multiway equity calculations and range v range analysis.

will see what we can do ... but we think that PokerStars will not allow the "Timer" functionality

I'm having trouble exporting some hand ranges that I created. When i try to export my ranges the filename defaults to Equilab user-defined hand ranges.hr , but when i try to export those ranges i can and error saying that Equilab user-defined hand ranges.hr cannot be opened.

hello,
I would like to buy Power Equilab but need some infos before.
can we modify ranges street by street as Flopzilla does ?
One last question : let's say we make different groups of hands(for example C1, C2, C4, C4) on the flop and we would like to take the C1 and C2 to the turn only...is it possible ? Will PE still be using the color code i gave to C1 and C2 on the turn ?
thanks in advance

yes ... just define your range(s) and define the board as you need.
Please take a look to the documentation: http://www.power-equilab.com/Manual/Manual.htm

In this case it is recommened to define the two ranges C1 and C2 as subranges to a parent group which contains all hands from C1 and C2 ... and then, of course, you can analyse this hierarchical range on the turn (just define a turn card in the main window).

If you mean to play combos only in a certain frequency, then you can use the powerfull weighting system of the Power-Equilab: http://www.power-equilab.com/Manual/...#_Toc478638154
... you can manage you ranges in groups: http://www.power-equilab.com/Manual/...#_Toc478638155
... and combine these features: http://www.power-equilab.com/Manual/...#_Toc478638156

Hello,
I am trying to find the functionality that would allow to select "top x%" of my range against V's range on the specific board. The closest that I found is the Equity Graph that can be opened from "Equity / Range %" tab of the range editor..but how to select top x% of the range and add it to the group?

Hi ffsh,

you can use the "Grouping options" iond the "Hand range selection" window: http://www.power-equilab.com/Manual/...#_Toc478638143

Here you can find a possibility to select a subrange by equity and more: http://www.power-equilab.com/Manual/...#_Toc478638145

In the following example we have selected the top 20% of our range against villains range on a given board:

hope it helps, best regards, nopi

Is it possible to define a "partial" flop, and then view the distribution of hand strengths?

To be specific I would like to do the following:
Set a range, for example top 10% (of some range model)
Then want to evaluate it against a flop containing any Ace plus 2 random cards by opening the "Hand strength distribution and hand range reduction" window.

Is this possible? Or must I define all 3 cards on flop?

Hi norman76,

unfortunately for now it is not possible to define a flop with wildcards.
But you can use the "Options / Multiple flop equities" to investigate your ranges on different flop types. http://www.power-equilab.com/Manual/...#_Toc478638175

I have pre-approved monthly payments in Paypal all setup properly and the most recent one has been done on Feb, 7
However, I receive the message "license expired" when I run Equilab and it does not work.
I have sent the email to support@power-equilab.com but I am not sure when I am supposed to receive the response...so I copy my message here. What can I do to elevate the issue? I can't do any of my learning routine without equilab

Love power equilab but...

Seems kinda meh to make customers wait more than a few minutes for license activation.

I know it's stated in email that "we will activate your license in a few hours" but surely there is a quicker more efficient way?

5.5 hours to receive activation email. Surely there is a better way.

I agree with your comments on this page but it's really not a big deal. I asked for a 2nd trial version (as I was eligible for it) on their main site (Pokerstrategy.com) and Nopi told me to email them about it and they would activate it. Days went by and I never heard anything so I just purchased the monthly to PE again. Still, that took a good 12+ hours to be "activated" after I made the purchase. A big deal? Not at all. Could something be done better? Absolutely. Especially when scylla provides such amazing customer service when it comes to his suite of tools like Flopzilla and CREV, etc.

The fact is that Power Equilab is a must have for any pro and it's extremely affordable. This makes the poor customer service slightly more forgivable.

If you can't believe that, you're definitely not going to believe this: So, I purchased the monthly for $4.99 yesterday and guess what? It "expired" this morning. You guys are totally incompetent.

Please reverse the charges. I'm calling my bank to report it as fraudulent right now and that way if you don't, it will just naturally work itself out.

Flopzilla/HoldEQ and GTO+ is all anyone needs now anyway. I'm done praising your nonsense.
