Surely something must be wrong because 415mb is not a large database.
A backup file is compressed so that is not the actual size of your database.

Please do not uninstall anything. If you open a Support Ticket one of our technicians can give you further guidance.

I let it run for 35 hours over the weekend and the update didn't finish.

I can only imagine there is some issue, certainly no way it runs that long and doesnt finish.

I'll open a support ticket after work.

Hi Rob,

I just upgraded from small stakes holdem PT4 to full version of PT4 and paid with paypal. I got an email from paypal saying it is a recurring annual subscription, but there is nothing on your site indicating it is a subscription model (that I can see). Is this a paypal error?

If that is the case, I hope everyone that has owned it previously is grandfathered.

That is for 'Annual Support & Maintenance' which is detailed on the PokerTracker 4 purchase page as well as during the checkout process. See this post and this FAQ for further details and you can contact us here with any further queries on your purchase.

Thanks for that information. It makes sense now.

Is there any way to tell PT4 not to import play money hands and to just generally ignore them?

I usually just purge them, but it would be nice if there was a way to prevent them from getting in your DB in the first place

There isn't a way to prevent hands from a specific stake importing.

Hello,

Partypoker (BetMGM) updated their software around July 19th. Their Hand Histories are written a bit differently now so Pokertracker 4 isn't importing MTT and SNG tournament numbers anymore. Subsequently all tournaments are now being merged into one and not listed individually.

Here is an example of the OLD HAND HISTORY:

Game #298618307 starts.

#Game No : 298618307
***** Hand History for Game 298618307 *****
NL Texas Hold'em $10 USD Buy-in Trny:110017532 Level:3 Blinds-Antes(40/80 -10) - Sunday, July 17, 23:44:55 EDT 2022
Table $10 NLH [Turbo, 6-Max], $750 GTD (110017532) - Table #2 (Real Money)
Seat 3 is the button
Total number of players : 6/6

Here is an example of the NEW HAND HISTORY:

Game #298881520 starts.

#Game No : 298881520
***** Hand History for Game 298881520 *****
NL Texas Hold'em $10 USD Buy-in - Thursday, July 21, 00:09:02 EDT 2022
Table $10 NLH [Turbo, 6-Max], $750 GTD (110017535) - Table #8 (Real Money)
Seat 4 is the button
Total number of players : 6/6

This issue is practically identical to the problem with BetMGM SPINS hand histories that was fixed in the Pokertracker 4.16.4 update back in January:

"- partypoker (BetMGM): Import: Fixed tournament numbers not being imported for BetMGM Spins"

I've just updated to Pokertracker 4.17.2 and the issue is still there, so hopefully this can be fixed in the next update. In the mean time, if there is a temporary workaround, that would be nice too.

Not sure if I should create a support ticket or not.

Please advise, thanks.

Can you please zip/compress these hand history files and attach them to a Support Ticket so the development team can address this change. Thank you.

Hi.

I'd like to be able to filter my hands to exclude any that occured on final tables.

Mostly this is for when I play 18 Man Sit n Go's with 1500 chip starting. I imagine an excpression filter with something like 'total table chips less than 27000' would work but I have no clue how I'd create this.

Is there an easier way please?

Thanks.

That will require some sort of expression filter. There is an expression filter in this post that filters for final table hands in tournaments with a 1500 starting stack so you could try using that and place a NOT at the beginning of the expression.

Does anybody happen to know what is causing this error?

Postgresql is running, no errors in the event log, and I've added Firewall rules for PT and postgres.

Thanks!

Edit: I should mention I've tried the suggestion in the error message of restarting the service and then PT. But this does not resolve the issue.

Please restart PokerTracker 4 using the logging enabled link on your Windows Start Menu, reproduce this problem and then attach your log file to a Support Ticket:

C:\Users\{Windows Login}\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\Logs\PokerTracker4.log

To access the log file open File Explorer in Windows and enter the following in the address bar:

%localappdata%\PokerTracker 4\Logs

The file we need will be the text file called 'PokerTracker4' or 'PokerTracker4.log' that is in that folder.

PokerTracker v4.17.2

Ticket #: 787821
Date: On Jul 26, 2022, 7:33:50 AM
Category: Submit Hand Histories
Subject: Party Poker (BetMGM Michigan) - Hands with allin's not importing

Just wanted to toss a shout out that HH's with allins may not be tracking properly. Submitted a ticket (787821) already, but posting here for visibility in case anyone from US facing BetMGM sites come across a similar issue.

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem to mine?

Been in contact with support since the 13th July, seem to be getting no where and with only a reply once a day. Only had it since around December.

All other tracking software seem to work fine, Holdem Manager H2N. Don't really want to pay out again for another program just yet.

Thank you for any advice

Hello PT4 Support,

I have 2 questions:

1) When making "All players" report, how do I filter players by categories defined by myself? I want to mark certain players and only show report for them. Is there a way?

2) How do I join two filters? For example I want to see hands on stake 1 and on stake 2.

Thanks

That would depend on what you mean by the "categories defined by myself" but if you've assigned the players a note color in PokerTracker 4 see this post.

You can select multiple stakes via 'More Filters -> Game Details -> Stakes:

In the 'Results' section of PokerTracker 4 there is a 'Hero vs Villain' report you can select that calculates this information.

I am liking the HUD so far, but a couple of items. My preferred table position is at the bottom of the table. First, when I play cash, my HUD stats are shown in the upper left corner. Fine with me, I don't need their replay links anyway with the HUD. However, when I play tournys, my stats are on top of me, blocking my view of my cards (NO GOOD!!!). Why would you make it this way?? Why can't it be up left like for cash?? I guess I will have to change preferred positions. Surely someone has noticed this.

Also, is it not possible to move the individual HUD stats for each person to a spot the user would prefer? You do a pretty good job with placement, but I'm sure we would all like to move some of them somewhere else. I use a Stud tracker for stud games and we can move all the HUDs wherever we would like. Would you consider doing that in a future upgrade?

Thanks

By default the HUD is locked in position to avoid accidentally moving the HUD while playing however you can still move the HUD stats anywhere you want on the table by holding the Control key while dragging the HUD or you can click the PT-icon and select 'Unlock Layout' to move the HUD around on the table without the need to hold the Control key. When you have your HUD placed where you want on the table you should save it by clicking the PT-icon and choosing 'Save Layout' so the new HUD positions are remembered for future tables of the same type. Also if you use preferred seating the stats at your table may not move to the correct positions until you have played and imported at least one full hand so if you join a table you should not move/save the HUD until after this happens.
