Just spent the last ten hours importing 1 million + hands to find it has got stuck with about 500 to go.

If I hit cancel, will that undo everything or just miss those last remaining hands from the database?

It seems like the issue has to do with importing. I did everything you said, and what ended up happening was each of the zoom tables had the little buttons to show hand histories, save hand histories, pick the profile(ie : cash default), etc etc. But it wasn't importing while playing even with the option selected. In the import progress window it showed a bunch of errors ie '345 errors'. I can manually import them, but it won't import while playing. Already running both as administrator and in the order you suggested. Thoughts?

I've imported all my hands from my HM1 database - do all tournament summaries for Stars need to be imported separately again?

One thing I've noticed, using Quick Filter more often than not causes PT to stop responding and never recover (tournament tab).

proper mess created by changing IP address of postgres server
- one-ish minute timeout without showing anything on screen until "database fail to connect" error.
- popup for new database details defaulting to "random" stuff e.g. localhost, dbpass (why not old details?)
- fill that in, more advanced database config window with old database in it but old IP, have to make a "new" one which is of course the same, while it tried to make an entirely new one.
- crash, leave an unpainted area the same size as startup splash, after 3 minutes have to end pokertracker4.exe in task manager
- restart from start menu, all appears fine.

There should be a way to change the ip address / other database config options easily imo.

You could just:
~ shut down PT4
~ open PokerTracker.cfg in notepad
~ change IP addy to what you need
~ save PokerTracker.cfg
~ run PT4, and

There are a lot of stats "All-in equity adjusted" (game currency, my currency etc), but not sure that this stat.

Does purging hands affect the notes from notetracker? I purge hands from time to time, but i don't wanna lose the automatic notes for these hands.

It will only miss the remaining hands - if you stopped it you can import the remaining hands later.


That's really odd if the files will import manually but not with 'get hands while playing' - the imports should be the same.
Please restart PT4 and play a few hands then attach the PokerTracker4.log file from C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\ (which you can access from the PT4 File menu) to a support ticket on the PokerTracker website along with the hand history file so that we can see what is going on.


I think you will need to import the summaries as well - we are investigating importing summaries from HM but I don't think that is done yet.


No, that would need to be built as a custom stat. Check out how the other "EV" and /100 stats are built, and if you need help start a new thread on the PokerTracker website where we'll be able to help you more directly.


Purging hands won't affect notes already taken, but of course if you purge and re-create auto notes then they wouldn't be recreated for any hands which are no longer in the database.

I imported some of my hands into PT4 and now I would like NoteTracker to analyse them. I clicked on run in the tools / Notetracker popup while not getting hands but after 30 Minutes nothing had happend, the number of processed hands did not change. What am I doing wrong?

Note: It does seem to work in general because some of my hands did get processed (28k = 3.13%), I just don't know when they were processed (I played maybe 5K with PT4).

Check the "since" date on the Status tab in NoteTracker - you may need to set it earlier to get notes on your older hands.

Seems like this problem solved itself. I created a new database yesterday, but when I reopened PT4 today the old one was somehow automatically set active and it's running smoothly now (I tried restarting PT yesterday, but then it didn't work). However can I merge my two databases somehow?

I also got another problem. I somehow lost "information box". I was re-sizing PT window and all of sudden the information box was gone. I tried unticking/ticking the "show information box" check-box, but it didn't work. Is there a way to reset information box to its default position like in PT3 where you simply have to hit "refresh" button?

Just to let you know, your registration system is faulty with how it checks for password strength. For example, the password greenbarktiregrassball is an incredibly complex password but is given a warning by your system as too weak. You should have your security expert look into that as it seems a bit silly and naive.

Without checking with the developers to confirm, I am pretty sure our system advises that you include some number and a mixture of uppercase and lowercase letters in the creation of your password to assure that it is secure. Been playing without a HUD for a while waiting for pt4. How can you download the beta version. I'm sure it's been answered, but I must have missed it
