Click your Windows Start button then type the following command:
system
Click on it when it appears and you will see your total installed memory (RAM). Also if you right click your taskbar and select 'Task Manager' you can see your current memory usage.

hi,
alright so I have 16.0 GB RAM
and what I am using apparently is 15.1 Gb of 16 GB (95%) (photo

so I am using too much of that RAM right now it seems.. should I try to get rid of most of those things that are running?
edit:
very interesting though here is a list of the applications that are running but in the list I dont see anything thats taking up a huge amount of RAM?
