I finally figured out why BCP lags when I play more then 8 tables. PT4 is a crappy software and I guess it cant support all the tables. When I close PT4 the software runs fine.

Any way to fix this issue?

We just performed a test of PokerTracker 4 playing at 10 cash game tables, and there were no lagging issues above and beyond the standard feel of the Winning Poker Network client as more tables are added. We then performed the same test with 12 observed tables open (see below) and proceeded to resize tables. The HUD performed perfectly with less than a 2% increase in processor usage - and that was on a Mac which has Windows installed as a virtual machine. We then quit PokerTracker 4 and moved tables around, pressed lots of buttons in the Winning poker client, and closed tables to determine the speed of each window closing. The Winning poker client software performed exactly the same as it did as when PokerTracker was running earlier, there was no noticeable difference. We like the Winning Poker Network management team, they are good people trying to provide an alternative to players; but to be honest it was harder to play at more than 6 tables using Winning's software than any other network that we support (over 24 networks historically). Their software it not yet conducive to massive multitabling, given time we hope that WPN's developers will continue to improve the playing experience through additional software development. In short, there is nothing to fix.

On a personal note to you mg0698, check your PM.

I'm afraid this is a service we do not provide at this time, we do not have the resources available at this price point to provide hands-on installations of new PostgreSQL versions upon request, perhaps if we someday chose to charge for support then this is something we could consider. Until then I think its safe to say our users love our low prices for software that includes our existing level of customer support. We can however give you plenty of guidance in the PokerTracker forums, we have lots of users who have been through this experience there (this topic is a bit too advanced for the 2+2 free support thread).

We do not have any users named hankwhite69, so I do not know where to begin to look when reviewing your support ticket; can you provide your screen name or ticket number, we can take a look once we have that information. As explained in the post above we have no evidence that there is any extra lag added by the PokerTracker 4 application, hence it would be important for us to see your logs to determine what is happening on your computer that is unique from the experience that others have.

We looked at your history of support requests, the last time you mentioned the Winning Poker Network was in January, we advised you to perform database maintenance and then you responded that it solved your problem. The only issue we saw in your logs was that your response time from cached database queries was slower than optimal, hence we advised you to perform database maintenance to solve that issue. We found more information about your computer, but since that is personal we will discuss it in a PM instead.

I have been having problems with PT4 and my extremely large database of hands (over 1.3M hands), and it has failed to work properly since I got it. Tech support has not been able to fix whatever issues, so I'm checking the forums to see if anyone can figure it out for me. I'll give you $50 for troubleshooting and setting it up so that my data shows up and the HUD works properly.

MFBAT - We have no record of your username, we cannot look at your support history to determine what could be wrong with your setup without this or your support ticket number. If our support team cannot fix an issue, then it is doubtful that someone else can help... so it is probably best to help us look at your support history so we can give you a hand.

Anyone have any success with PT4 HUD working with Poker Stars Play Money Home Games in US? If so can you please tell me how to set-it up because it's not working.

We have an MTT league that we settle up with via PayPal. And I would really like to use Poker Tracker.

Some old threads in Poker Tracker forum said an earlier release made this possible.

Thank you for your feedback. We knew there may be some OS X graphics card or screen minor issues such as the one your may have found, unfortunately we cannot know if there will be an issue until the application is actually released, then we can double back and fix it when necessary. We will need your help, can you please create a support ticket with that screen capture attached, and also include your PokerTracker4.log file so we can learn about your hardware to help us determine where the incompatibility (if there is one) exists.

Please follow these instructions for submitting a Support Ticket, include your PokerTracker4.log file.

Additionally, you can try this:
  • Make sure you have the Geneva font installed. If you do not, please let us know.
  • Open the HUD Profile Editor, click in the bottom left hand window frame on any stat then click CMD-A to select all of the stats. Then in the top right hand side Item Properties list, click in the property editor for Font, then click the "..." grow button to open up the font editor. Chose any other font that you think may work well, click OK and then OK to save and close the HUD Profile Editor. Now test this newly altered HUD profile at a table (or using the built in replayer) - is the font clearer now?
  • Click HUD > Edit HUD Options. Under General settings, click Advanced. Try disabling Allow Translucency, click OK and then once again check at a table or in the replayer. Next do the same, but this time uncheck Allow Vector Scaling.

Please report back to us if any of these suggestions work, we are learning along with you at the same time. Appreciated!

What site are you playing on, and how did you import your data? What tournament types are incorrect (be specific). Are you a new Mac user, or an old Windows user who just upgraded to the latest release?

Its been some time since I responded to a question about home games, IIRC we do not support PokerStars Home Games anymore due to the lack of key data that was needed. I will investigate shortly and confirm.

PS: Where are you located? The PokerStars.net client does not provide hand histories, therefore we cannot support .net players, not even play money.

I just sent the ticket to the support on your page, and im trying to change the font to see which one looks a lil better. Other thing is that im using a Retina Macbook pro, and there a lot of apps that if they are not supported by the retina display, the fonts on those programs are so blurry, one of those is pokerstars so im guessing that this issue could be beacuse of pokerstars software. Thanks.

Yeah US, and yes it does not keep hand histories. But there is a tab for 'real time' tracking of data, maybe this is something that could be added in the future, even if it was just a simple hud with the simple stats... but that may be a pain in the ass...

Anyways thanks for you response & I'll continue to use PT4 for now on Carbon and go from there. Maybe I'll switch to HEM when US poker comes back in full.

I am on stars. I import while playing. HUSNG hypers are incorrect. I use windows7. I run PT4 everyday. I had it running, everything was fine. I went to get some lunch, put it back on, got the update message, updated, and now the graphs are way off.

The answer to your question is.... it depends. You are correct that any manual changes made in Edit Tournament Results will force recalculation, but that only happens after the edit is completed. If you have an existing database then the easiest way to force recalculation is to enter the Tournament Results Editor, click on any tournament in the list, click CTRL-A (Win) or CMD-A (OSX) to select all of the tournaments in the list, and the click Auto Detect...

You will notice that many of the options listed here are brand new in 4.07, we have greatly improved all-in equity calculation, and in turn this has improved ICM enumeration and Net Adjusted Winnings. There are also new options for unknown finishes and we improved the options available for All-In Net Adjusted calculations. I sugest you follow the base guideline below until you spend more time exploring the options available. Now click Detect, this will review every tournament you have an re-detect it while recalculating your All-In Equity and All-In Net Adjusted Winnings.

Note - you do not need to reimport.
