We feel your frustration, but software cannot cause hardware to fail, your symptoms looks like it might be hardware related. The key issue that leads us to believe it is hardware related is that you performed a system restore to the time prior to PT4 installation yet your problem remains. This completely rules out PT4 as a possible cause. Of course this assumes that you correctly explained the situation int he prior two posts, feel free to add additional information if anything is missing.
Have you contacted us before by creating a support ticket on our website or a post on our forums? If so, please DM me your user name so we can look over your support history to see if there are any other clues.... this is unlikely to change our diagnosis since the problem remains after an uninstall and a system restore, but we are open to exploring all possibilities with you.
In the meantime, you may want to bring your computer to a local hardware technician, show them this post and have them look at your RAM and also your hard drive for any failures, these are the two most common causes of hardware issues, better safe than sorry!
