Yes to both - provided that we can match the stat and column names automatically. Some existing custom stats might be rendered obsolete with the roll out of PT4 thanks to our new positional options; therefore I personally suggest you check your profile after importing from PT3. Additionally there will be some stats that do not port if there is no equivalent in PT4, for example currency/winnings stats are totally revamped because of the new international currency features. In general the best policy will be to:
1) Try our new built-in HUD profiles. You may find them superior to anything you previously had with PT3's customizations.
2) If you want to keep your PT3 HUD profiles then you should proceed to import them in PT4 - but it is best to test the profile for any stat errors caused by the differences in the new PT4 database schema by opening a replayer window. If you have a lot of custom stats that do not conform to the new schema then you will have a few issues to fix by hand, if not it will be smooth sailing.

We have answered this a few times earlier in this thread, search for notes in this thread for our previous responses. Also you can view Preview Video #2 which features the first disclosure of the new PT4 note system. Since that video was released we have altered one component of the notes system which we haven't announced yet - I think it's going to blow everyone away when they see it!

The remote syncing of databases has been in our plans for PT4 since we started developing it over a year ago; we intend to develop this service after PT4 is released. As we did with PT3, there will be some special features we are planning to add after the software goes on sale that appear to some of our users, normally we don't disclose these special additions in advance but I can admit that we have been dropping hints since the announcement that syncing is one of our plans. By waiting to develop this after the release of PT4 we gain the flexibility of watching how people use PT4 to make sure the synchronization matches the needs of the users - rather than what we think the users want. And that is the fundamental vision of PT4 - giving our users what they really want and need - without delivering bloatware that interferes with your game.
