Same, not working for me, either (Although in Configure -> Sites & Import Options -> Pokerstars I am no longer getting a message saying Pokerstars is not installed on this computer)

PokerTracker 4 needs to be updated to support the hands from this new PokerStars client. If you open a Support Ticket we can notify you when that's available.

How come when I login to my PT4 account on the website it says access denied and won't let me view my keys? I've owned it for ages and it's always worked in past years. Was trying to get my reg key for a new cpu. My username on the website is same as this one.

Nevermind. I just reset my password and then it worked. Before that my password was correct though, it was saying I was logged in as chiefsfan17 and had my email and acct info and stuff. But if I clicked order history or registration keys or whatever else, it would say access denied.

Hello, im thinking of switching from HM3 to PT4 due to lag and other issues so i want to ask some questions:
- first, can i import my whole database from HM3? i saw there is a way i can import the hands only but i want to know if its possible to import my notes too? If not, can i import my older database + notes from HM2? Or maybe is there some other workaround way to import the HM3 notes?
- i see you support notecaddy (i think?.. ), so can i import and use the notecaddy stat definitions i already have and use them in PT4?

There isn't an automated method to transfer player notes but hands from Holdem Manager 2 can be imported directly from an existing database in PostgreSQL:

Guide: Converting from Holdem Manager

Any other hands will need to be manually imported into PokerTracker 4 using 'Play Poker -> Get Hands From Disk'.

If you want to transfer definitions then that information is stored here:

C:\Users\{Windows Login}\AppData\Local\PokerTracker 4\Data\AppsData\Tm90ZUNhZGR5

That would remove any hands where you raised all-in regardless of whether it was the 3bet or not. If you want to filter for hands where your 3Bet was not all-in then you will need to compare the size of the 3bet made to your stack size using a custom filter expression in a custom report:

cash_hand_player_statistics.flg_p_3bet and (cash_hand_player_statistics.amt_p_raise_made < cash_hand_player_statistics.amt_p_effective_stack)

You can use this expression filter by clicking on the 'Filters' link and selecting 'Add New Expression Filters'. You will also need to replace "cash" with "tourney" if you are in a tournament report.

Hi Rob,

I downloaded the new update upon launch of the program last night. It said it needed to update the database, so I backed up it and started the update.

It said it might take a while, so I figured maybe 45 minutes.

5 hours later when I was getting ready for bed it was still going. There was no way too pause, so I had to shutdown my PC mid update, as it is summer here and it'll be too hot to sleep if I leave it on overnight.

I wasn't sure if this would break it, but I knew I had the backups.

I booted up today and went to oopen PT4 and it prompted me to update it again. So I guess it is working fine?

Anyway, how long is the update going to take? It seems like atleast 5 hours.

I"m having the same issue. I let the update run for about 6 hours before I went to bed. When I woke up it was still going. I had to turn my CPU off.

After work today, I am trying to use PT4. I tried using it while skipping that update, since I don't know how long it will take. Now PT4 is not working. If I start the update again, I'm not sure how long that will take. I'm playing without the use of PT4 at the moment.

Any advice?

Continuing the update and it's over an hour in. I guess I'll just have to keep my computer on all night again if it takes that long. It would be nice if there was a progress bar for an update that takes multiple hours.

I'm now on 13 hours, running since I woke up.

Wow, that is brutal! Its 7pm for me now, so it looks like this will be an overnight update for me, but I can only hope it is done by tomorrow morning.

Ya I tried playing a few games today without PT4, and its too hard as I'm too use to it. Poker is a write off for today.

okay 15 hours, I'm off to bed shutting down computer. It'll get to hot in my room overnight during the summer. I have no idea when I am going to do this given it takes longer than I am awake.

Sorry to hear that man. I wish we could just have a choice to continue playing on the older version of PT4 without having to do this 15+ hour update.

I don't know how long the update will be for each of you but it will be affected by the size of all of your existing databases and computer hardware. If you need further assistance open a Support Ticket with a log file where one of our technicians can assist you further:

Please turn on 'Enable Logging' in PokerTracker 4 via 'Configure -> Options' and then restart PokerTracker 4. Next reproduce this issue and then attach your support bundle to a Support Ticket. The support bundle is created via the 'File -> Create Support Bundle' menu option in PokerTracker 4. Make sure to also attach a sample of your hand history files as there is a known PokerStars bug at this time which can be causing the problem you are experiencing.

Hi Rob, I have been having an issue with PT4 when playing bounty tournaments on Pokerstars, where the bounty amounts won are not showing up in my prize money statistics. Only the prize for placing in cash positions is showing up. Is there a fix for this? Thanks

PokerStars has removed the bounty information from their hand histories so there is nothing for PokerTracker 4 to import and you can verify this for yourself by opening a relevant PokerStars hand history file with Notepad. I don't know if that change was intentional or not so hopefully they will add this data back but in the meantime you can manually update your results.

I recently started playing on Pokerking, specifically Blitz poker (similar to zoom) and I have noticed a daily difference between the pt4 and what the cashier dictates in the room. always in favor of the pt4.

That is, I am winning less than what the pokertracker tells me.


Does anyone know what is the reason for this difference in balances?

I tried running the update again, this time I ran it overnight on a cool night. So far I am at 25 hours and still updating. I looked at the size of my backup files, and they are only 415mb.

Surely something must be wrong because 415mb is not a large database.

Do you think I should just uninstall the software and reinstall and try to backup from there?

I just want a HUD to work at this point.
