Is it possible to use the hand replayer and view more than 1 hand at a time ?? Can I view many hands or a whole session using the pt beta 3 hand replayer ?? Also, is there something available that would explain to me what all the different numbers & abbreviations mean ?? Something that would help me translate the data in pt and pa ??

I have been looking on the pt3 website for hours. While, I am constantly learning new things about the software I still feel a bit overwhelmed.

Thanks alot for you assistance.

Please use the "Search This Thread" feature, or just look at the last couple pages. This is asked at least three times a day it seems.
First of all:

Are you actually trying to make money by selling PT3 or not? You guys seem to forget that we are customers and you are supposed to answer questions no matter how stupid they might be.

AND I used to search function but I didn't find a release date.

I was told I needed to update my PT3 but the updates on the site are all old ones?

To the right of the reports that display information on individual hands, there is a small button that has a "Play" symbol on it. Press that button to launch the replayer with all the hands in the report.

We're hoping for an end of April release.

A new beta will be available early tomorrow.

I really like the showdown vs non-showdown graph in PT3 but wish there was an option to display it in BB rather than just $.

One other thing on my wish list is being able to drag select a section of the results graph and have the hands that make up that part of the graph queued up in the hand replayer.

The final wish list item for me is being able to set up reports in such a way that I can display seperate rows for each month of my results + stats on the one screen. Currently I'm having to set up a report and a date range filter, snap a screenshot and then set up the next one, take another screenshot... and so on.

I'm really after a way to quickly see if I can spot changes in my play which have had effects on each month's results.

End of April sounds fair enough but as there are delays it might be May so adding iPoker support for Beta would be amazing guys!

The graphing in PT3 will be getting a lot of improvements, so you'll be able to see the money won in $ and in BB.

I'm not sure what you mean by separate rows for each month of your results plus stats on one screen. Can you elaborate a little more?

You mean the top-part of the Winnings-tab? You can even edit this report to include all the information you'd like...

I am very new to PT, first exposure via download of PT3 2 weeks ago.

I am looking at my aggression factor and wondering if there is a report or combination of filters that will show me my stats when my raises are either > 4BB or < 3BB's.

I can back into the results by removing 3bb and 4bb raises from all raises using the action filter but I then have to do some off line calculations.

The data is in there, we just haven't gotten around to adding the filters for it yet. They should be in before the initial commercial release though.

Beta Version 7 Released

Changed:
  • Filter window now auto-add-selects on Apply
  • Filter window now has "OK" button that applies then closes the window
Fixed:
  • Import problem: Continuation Bets
  • Import problem: Double-gutshot draws being incorrectly detected
  • Import problem: Allowing import of PokerStars play money tournaments
  • Import problem: A few lockup/crashing issues
  • Import problem: Full Tilt emailed histories
  • Site filtering in player search window

I know everyone was expecting a Hud in this beta, but it's not in here. We have a Hud that's in alpha testing, but I'm going to hold off on releasing it in a beta. Why? Because first impressions are everything. Our Hud is going to be extremely powerful and flexible, but what we have right now is basically the foundation. If I released what we have now, for the next two weeks I would hear nothing but "Why doesn't the Hud do this?" or "Why doesn't the Hud do that?" and "You should make the Hud do this". My point is, the Hud is something a lot of people are going to find useful and are anticipating, and I feel that if I release what we have at this point in time, it will leave a sour taste in some people's mouths. So this release is basically a bug fix release and an extension of the expiration date. Please be patient. It will be worth it.

You don't need to re-import your hands for this beta, but it's recommended. Some stat accuracy bugs were fixed.

I agree with your business logic. In a couple of months, all this hubbub will be forgotten - don't let these totally impatient idiots rush your product.

Create a new database and reimport your hands to the new one.

Do we have to update or can we just keep using the beta 6 until the final version w/ Hud comes out? There is nothing in the update that is a necesity to me so would prefer to not have to re-import a zillion hands and have my computer tied up for hours

Josh, any db changes?

No database changes, just a few fixes in the import logic.

Since upgrading to version 7, my sql server crashed. Then when I shut
everything down and tried to start up PT3 again, it could not connect to
the database.

Anyone else have this problem?

How do I get things working again?

Thanks,
Jonathan

This just happened to me. It seems to be working again after I did a restart.

I went to database maintenance and exported my hands into a fresh directory. Then I purged my database (also in database maintenance). I then reimported all hands from that directory with the normal import section.

Much faster to Delete/Drop the database, then create a new one - for future reference.

Also, I don't think there were any new fields added in beta 6 -> 7, but delete/create will be required in future IF more fields are added.

Hey,
I did not set a password for my PostgreSQL database when I initially installed it, and so I let it randomly create one for me. Now, I am running into problems after upgrading to the new beta version. It won't let me connect to my PostegreSQL database. I tried searching all over the web on how to reset the password, but I couldn't find any tutorial that I could understand. I tried uninstalling PostgreSQL and reinstalling it, but when I try to reinstall it, I run into an error during the "Service Configuration", when it asks me to set a new password: Invalid username specified: Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.

Start->Programs->PostgreSQL->Configuration Files->Edit pg_hba.conf

At the bottom of this file there are two lines that end in 'md5'. Change 'md5' to 'trust' then File->Save

Then go Start->Programs->PostgreSQL->Reload configurations

Now you can leave the password field blank.
