People show me some love and +1 this all the way up to +75,000 then they will see we want this changed. That will show many agree and coincidently match the number of players I have listed in that long column on the left that is better suited under a sub-menu.
+1

You can click the "Hide" button and it will hide the player list from view.

I'm having mixed feelings about the new Filters. It's a very powerful tool and you can really drill down and find exactly what you're looking for. On the other hand, it's a pain in the a** just to see stats for a certain date or date range. The majority of the time I only want to see stats for today, this month or maybe the past week. Before I just selected the date and hit Apply. Now I have to select any date I have in my filter list, hit remove, select my new date, add it to the filter list and finally hit Apply. I'm probably being a baby, but that's a lot of clicks just to see stats for a certain date.

Maybe you can add a Basic filter option and then an advanced filter option. A basic option would allow you to select a date and/or limits and just click Apply. The advanced version would be what PT3 currently has.
What about a "Remove All" button under the list and when you click Apply, it automatically adds whatever filters you have selected to the filter list. This would eliminate a lot of clicks.

just to say keep up the good work
and start up on hud asap
i feel alot of player using AHK HUD or HM are getting some kind of edge on me.
i really like features on filter
specially, i can see how are my draws doing, and how $ i lose because people hit their draw on me.

ok guys, it's the middle of March. Is PT3 being released soon? I have my credit card in hand ready to buy the completed version!
03-14-2008 , 03:41 PM
Also, I have a question. If one day I have have a ton of stats on PT3, and I decide to reformat my computer, do I lose everything? I like to reformat my computer once every couple of months, and I don't want to lose everything. Please let me know, thanks guys!

I think that would be a huge improvement. This would also help the problem I have of changing the date, hitting apply and then quickly hitting close. The screen refreshes and I sit there wondering why my stats didn't change.

We're hoping for a mid-April release. This is subject to change though.

You should keep your hand histories archived for just such an event.

I don't think that you need to save the hand histories to a CD. Organizing them into directories on your hard drive should be sufficient. It's a bit of a pain but worth the hassle once you get it all organized.

EDIT: Never mind, I'm illiterate. However, you should backing up your databases to CD before you format your PC, and then restoring them once you have set your PC and PSQL back up. That will save more of your personal PT settings, though it may not save all of them. It also is a bit faster than simply re-importing all of the hands.

Someone didn't read the part about formatting the drive. What I suggest is to get a cheap external USB drive and use that to back up your HH, that way when you reformat you just plug in import and go. It's worked well for me so far and I just have PT export the HH to the drive automatically when I import them.

Is it possible to see stats of players on the Hand Replayer as if using the HUD at the table?

This is a must IMHO.
03-14-2008 , 09:51 PM
Yes, this will be available.

OMG.

read thread before making another post please.

Yes, this will be the case, as has been posted/answered at least 10 times.

EDIT: at least 11 times

It is possible you have wasted Josh's time / tilted him asking a (very) redundant question, and PT3 will be a day later to release because of this.

Not entirely serious, but please people - read the bleeding thread before re-asking questions!

I knew the answer. But the thread is 35 pages on my settings. Can't really expect people to trawl through that.

indeed, trawling the thread would take a while (but would yeild a lot of information).

Clicking "Search This Thread", entering "replayer stats" yeilds the same question (will the replayer have stats?", same answer ("yes") several times, and takes less seconds than making the post.

Sorry, I am tilted by FTP + CardRunners

Haha. Ok, point taken. Expect people to keep asking if PAHud works with PT3 though.

The thread is huge and I did not think of using the search function obviously. My mistake.

I was thinking more about the new filters and I believe once you add the predefined date ranges (today, this week, this year, etc) it won't be that bad. I'll be able to save filters for specific date ranges and I won't have to worry about adding and removing items from the filter list.

Josh,

I gotta say, I really love the custom reporting. I use to export stats into an excel sheet and then do various calculations. Now, not only can I just set up different reports, I also have many more stats to play with.

Thanks much. Looking great so far.

I cannot read that error message. Please reproduce it and attach the PokerTracker.log file to a support ticket.
