is PT3 still coming out sooner than later? End of this month?
03-12-2008 , 11:50 PM
Mid to late April.

No, your database will remain in tact. If you uninstall, you will simply need to relink PT3 to your PostgreSQL database. If you install over-top of your existing installation you will not even need to do this...

Best regards,

Derek

Has PT2 support stopped already?
Just saw the site doesn't exist anymore.
The Forum was gold for a lot of PSQL problems - is it up somewhere still?

No. Here is a list of things we need to complete before we go commercial:

1. HUD. I'm making good progress on this. I should be able to release a public beta either late next week, or early the following week.

2. More Sites. We plan on adding 3 more sites before we go commercial.

3. More Polish. There are a number of smaller features that need added and some existing features need enhanced.

We have a pretty solid foundation now. There are a few problems, but they should be resolved in the next beta. Adding new features is proving easier than even I anticipated. The list above, unless we encounter something catastrophic, shouldn't take much longer than a month to complete.

Also, I should point out, that we will continue to quickly add features and site support even after the initial commercial release. We hope to support all the sites PT2 supports within a month or so of commercial release.

PT2 support has not stopped. The old forums were archived. You can find them here: http://www.pokertracker3.com/forums/archives/PT2/

Support is now handled from the main PT3 forums: http://www.pokertracker3.com/forums/

PokerAce,

Maybe you misunderstood my last question. Actually somebody already asked it before but I didn't understand much.

How I can filter the hands that I played on a specific period?

Example: I just want to see the hands played between this monday and tuesday

Thank you

click Filters, select "Session dates: Between Dates", insert the dates you want, click "Add Selected to Filters", click Apply and Close.

Not sure if this has been suggested, but it would be a surprisingly useful & popular option: A "Tilt Blocker" check box, that removed the win/loss column from the general tab, etc.

I often need to look at PT when playing to check something out, but I really don't want to know my win/loss for the day. It has zero intrinsic value on a day-to-day basis, but moreover it can actually cloud your thought process and even cause tilt when you discover that you are actually 5 buy-ins down for the day

You can add/remove columns from reports. Click on the button with the wrench on it to the right of the report.

When I updated from beta 5 to beta 6 I noticed my 3bet stat got cut in half (from like 10.5% to 5.5%). It was 10.5% through all betas in fact, up to 6. Did this happen to anyone else? I'm assuming that beta6 is the more accurate stat, just bc it seems more in line w/ my 3bet range, but it's also kind of odd.

I believe I fixed a bug in the 3-Bet stats for beta 6. It was being calculated incorrectly.

I just downloaded the installer and tried to run it but I've got this error twice. I'm running Vista and have set PT3 to run as admin as was suggested.

This is the error I got from the log: (programfiles/postgresql/8.3/tmp or something)

The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application

Please make a post in our forums or open a support ticket on our site. Derek knows far more about PostgreSQL than I do (especially installation issues), and he doesn't monitor this thread as much as he monitors our site.

I'm playing and datamining 6-max on Party Poker.

When I upload the hand histories some of the levels are shown as 6-max and others full ring, even though all the hands are from 6 max tables.

The bigger problem is on the player statistics pane on the general tab it shows no data for any hands which PT has recognised as 6max hands although the data is there for the player summary pane.

PT3 doesn't currently have a way to change limits to 6 max. This is coming.

when i try to log in to poker tracker 3 beta 6.0 it says that postgressql is not configured properly. i used the beta 5.0 and had no problems with it but beta 6.0 i've not been able to get working. i notice that when i load poker tracker a box pops up with port and server info from postgressql, and i notice that there is no password where the password should be. just wondering if anybody knows the password or could help me get it running. I guess i entered a password at 1 time but now can't remeber thanks for any help!

Try "search this thread". It's really nice.

Get rid of the column on the left of thousand upon thousands of players and put it under a tab/sub-menu. I know this is mostly an aesthetic point but form does follow function. There is no need to waste all that value screen space on a long list of players.

People show me some love and +1 this all the way up to +75,000 then they will see we want this changed. That will show many agree and coincidently match the number of players I have listed in that long column on the left that is better suited under a sub-menu.

I haven't read all the posts so sorry if this has been mentioned.

I'm having mixed feelings about the new Filters. It's a very powerful tool and you can really drill down and find exactly what you're looking for. On the other hand, it's a pain in the a** just to see stats for a certain date or date range. The majority of the time I only want to see stats for today, this month or maybe the past week. Before I just selected the date and hit Apply. Now I have to select any date I have in my filter list, hit remove, select my new date, add it to the filter list and finally hit Apply. I'm probably being a baby, but that's a lot of clicks just to see stats for a certain date.

Maybe you can add a Basic filter option and then an advanced filter option. A basic option would allow you to select a date and/or limits and just click Apply. The advanced version would be what PT3 currently has.

I was really surprised they kept this in PT3. I don't see it being used enough to have it on every single screen.
