Just filter for "Saw Flop".

What I'd like to do for my session review is go over just the hand histories I've saved in a notepad file.

For example: say I want to review all of my bad beats, suckouts, coolers, and coin flips to kind of get a feel for how good/bad I ran. I would also save any hand that I thought was interesting or thought I could have played better. I then would take the hand# of each HH and load it into the "search function" and replay each one of them. More specifically, I'd like to be able to load them all up at once and just sit back and view each hand. Thoughts?
The HUD will offer the ability to mark specific hands. You can then later on filter for those hands and replay them.

Glad to hear it. We're just starting to get to the really good stuff.

SukitTrebek:we def need a way to watch all filtered hands in a row without being grouped. for ex, i just filtered for overcards on flop and turn + bet flop +bet turn. on the hands tab, i'm using display final hands, and it shows some of them grouped into "1 pair" and the others into "High Card." It seems it shoudl be an easy fix to add "All Hands" to the listbox and then we can just replay all the hands being filtered at once.

Poker Ace: Could you attach some of the One Pair hands to a support ticket? They should be falling under the High Card filter. On the Final Hands detail report, to the bottom right of the report, there's a button that has a Play symbol on it. Click that button to load all the hands listed into the replayer.

Everything is working correctly. In the example I provided, I had filtered for overcards on flop and turn and then apparently hit a pair on river some portion of the time so my final hand was 1pair.

A better illustration might be where I filter for just top pair on flop. Now when I try to play them back, all of the times I finished with a full house are grouped together, all of the times I finished with a straight are grouped together, etc. I just want to watch all the hands played back without getting grouped (as it will obv affect the analysis of my play if i know i end up with a full house).

Also whenever you create this, can you also add a bb/100 summary of the filter being used? For example, I'd like to compare my loss rate for overcards on the turn to other players' similar loss rate.

You can make custom reports to show what you want. That's faster than waiting for us to get to it. We are working on core functionality at the moment. We will focus on better content once that's finished.

Sorry if I missed this, but I just downloaded beta 6 and I cannot filter by day anymore. both the "since a date" and "specific date" filters return all the hands in my database.

Edit:also I cannot filter by site and limit.

At the bottom, click the button that says "Add selected to filters"

I don't like having to click two buttons now either

i have noticed "middle of march" is approaching, can we get a refined date on when PA HuD will work with PT3? =)
03-11-2008 , 09:39 AM
There is a hh converter that makes it possible for PT3 to import hands from the swedish site Svenska Spel by converting them to partypoker format, will the hud work with the client? (it works well with PT2+gametimeplus).

PA Hud will never work with PT3. PT3 is getting it's own built-in HUD. The first revision of which should be available in the next beta version (in about two weeks or so).

It's hard to tell at this point. I plan on making the HUD more flexible when it comes to finding tables, so it might be possible.

+1

In a future update will it be possible to set PT3 to open with todays date automatically set as a filter like PT2 could be.

Just now you have to click Filter>Session Dates>Specific Date>Add Selected To Filters>Apply>Close to achieve this, which seems very long winded.

I personally don't see the need to have to hit Close after pressing Apply, it should automatically close and display the results.
03-11-2008 , 01:02 PM
Yes. I plan on adding non-specific date filters (today, last week, etc), so you'll be able to do this.
03-11-2008 , 01:08 PM
tl;dr

stud/omaha versions update?
03-11-2008 , 01:52 PM
Not until summer, at the absolute earliest.

My computer didn't have internet connection so I wasn't able to use PT3 because my computer couldn't connect to the server. Since the server is localhost, is there a way to fix this?
03-11-2008 , 03:49 PM
I thought I had that fixed before, but it keeps causing problems. I will try to get it fixed for the next release.
03-11-2008 , 03:53 PM
How fast is the filter?
03-11-2008 , 04:26 PM
The speed of the filtered data depends on how many hands you have in your database, when you last clustered/analyzed, and what filters you are applying.

It might be a different problem. I have internet connection now but PT3 won't load. Here is the error message.

"Unable to login to database (PT3 Beta DB1). Reason: could not connect to server: Connection refused (0x0000274D/10061) []Is the server running on host "localhost" and accepting [] TCP/IP connections on port 5432?"

Sounds like PostgreSQL either isn't installed or isn't running. Could either of those be the case?
03-11-2008 , 05:56 PM
Will p3 track omaha too?

Eventually, yes. You'll have to buy the omaha section as an unlockable addon I believe. But it's not due to be out until summerish at the best.

PostgreSQL is installed. I used PT3 yesterday.

I checked the windows manager and there are multiple instances of postgresql.exe. I also went to the start menu and clicked on "start service" under the postgresql folder.

One important detail is I was able to get PT3 running after I installed it. However, I can't get it to run after I re-booted my computer. That's the only change I made since the installation.
