the tutorial says to look for 192.168.xx.xx I don't see it. Any suggestions?

So the importance of finding this is based on whether or not the third digit is a 1 or a 0, so I figured I would try to both and see with one worked. But I can't seem to find the config file for postges on my Mac. Anyone willing to do a Teamviewer session to help me set this up?

I am having difficulty with PT3 picking up the new Cake network which is now Revolution gaming. I have emailed support at PT and they keep telling me it is fine and keep using it as though it is Cake. Is anybody else having this problem or is it just me? I am on Lock if that matters. I got an account on Carbon and it picked that right up.

This is a suggestion, we cannot predict what your IP range will actually be. I sugest you contact your VM software provider to discuss this networking issue with them.

I'm afraid this won't be helpful until you get feedback from your VM software developer.

Read this thread or the PokerTracker 4 thread for examples of users who got Revolution working, everyone so far made the same mistake - they forgot to set up Revolution in the PokerTracker preferences. You must manually assign your hand history folder first, PT will not work properly until it knows where to find the hand histories.

PS: Carbon is on the Merge network, the are not related to the Cake/Revolution Gaming networks. Good luck!

Maybe read the tutorial wrong. My understanding was I was supposed to get the IP address of the Host machine(the machine with the Postgres DB I was to use). Then I need to go change the permissions of the files on the Host to let the VM access it. Please clarify.

Quote:
Connecting to the PostgreSQL Server
Your PostgreSQL Server is now configured to allow data to be sent to and from server from other computers on your local network. To connect to this server from another computer on your network, you need to know that server's address. Follow the instructions from IP Address from the Local Network to determine the address of the computer which is used to host the PostgreSQL server.
This does not tell me to get the IP address of the VM...but rather the host.
Using the following link
https://www.pokertracker.com/guides/...-local-network

Maybe I'm trying to use the wrong tutorial

also per the tutorial I should have a folder "postgres 9.0" in my "library" folder on my mac. this does not exist. but I can assure you it is installed and running correctly. I get every thing to work fine on my mac, the VM just doesn't see it.

I figured out my ip address (I think) but now I can't find the config files

I'm on a brand new computer and I downloaded PT3 and I can't connect to Postgres. I had this issue on my old computer when I downloaded PT3 and while I tried to fix it, I screwed up HM at the same time. Support kept giving me links to tutorials which caused all my problems. I did a teamviewer(I forget who) with support from either HM or PT at that time and they fixed my issues with both programs. Is there a simple fix that doesn't clash both programs or should you set up another teamviewer session with me.

Probably not us, our guides should not cause further problems. We help people who have both PT and HEM installed at the same time, our users rarely have issues that would cause data loss.

We don't use TeamViewer, can't be us.

Postgres is as standard, the only thing that could be different between the two applications is the default username and password, one Postgres server can easily work with both applications at the same time. If the problem is the password, then please follow this guide: https://www.pokertracker.com/guides/...er-or-password

If you still have problems, contact us via the PokerTracker support system, we will be happy to help - but this ca not be coordinated via 2+2; you need to create a support ticket on our website so we can track the issue. Good Luck!

That was it, I had an old Cake account PT3 was looking for the Lock files in, got that changed and it is working fine.

Thanks

Any timing on an upgrade to PT3 that will work with the new Merge software?

I believe a new beta release is planned for today - I would guess within the next couple of hours based on how we normally time our releases.

The new Beta release which supports the MERGE 6.0 client should be available in the next hour. Please visit the PokerTracker website to update to the latest beta.

Release Notes
PokerTracker 3.13.5 BETA – June 6, 2012

Key Updates Summary
  • Introductory support for new MERGE 6.0 poker client
  • Support for change from Cake to Revolution Gaming Network
  • Add support for preferred seating on GTECH G2 and IGT Networks
  • IGT (Boss) is now called GTECH G2.
On a related note, MERGE just contacted us to say that they expect the fix for the tournament hand history bug should be available in 2-3 days if not sooner. They are working hard to address all the bugs in the new Merge 6.0 poker client and hope to have a solution available to players ASAP. We would like to thank MERGE for working so fast to find a solution, and for allowing us communicating their plans to the player community.

correct, should be 3.13.6, that was a typo.

I'm still seeing 3.13.5 on your site as the latest version. Re-downloaded it, and I'm still seeing:

Merge: Unable to import hand (#5657772200011). Reason: Invalid limit (0/6//2012 NL) for hand #5657772200011

when I auto-import. Is there a link you can give for 3.13.6?

looks like they literally just posted it. ship it.

It should have been ready 1/2 hour ago, there apparently were some small delays up uploading the new update. It is available now, download it again, make sure the page says 3.13.6.

messing around at $.02/$.04 to test the beta, it doesn't seem to be working 100% correctly.

^guy raised pre, i called, i check-shoved the flop, he folded, PT3 has me losing the hand.

^guy raised pre, i 3-bet, rag flop/turn checked through, i shoved river, he folded (and showed), PT3 has me losing the hand.

edit: FWIW, i played these hands prior to updating PT3 and then imported them after installing the update. not sure if this makes a difference.
06-06-2012 , 11:04 PM
I confirm it's not working properly either. I played one hand, I raised PF w/ 99 and won the hand PF.

However PT3 records the hand as a loss for me.
06-07-2012 , 12:16 AM
There are still gremlins in the software with the Carbon update. I played this hand where I won $2.11 and PT3 shows me winning 0.65 and paying 0.99 in rake on a .02/.04 nl table:

Hand #5657849500102 begins at 2012/06/06
Dealing down cards
Dealt to swinginglory [Jc Kd]
Phlexx posts the small blind of $0.02
playinforchees posts the big blind of $0.04
swinginglory raises to $0.11.
roosty folds.
wolfanjack calls $0.11.
AnIrishGuy1 folds.
Phlexx calls $0.09.
playinforchees folds.
Dealing Flop [3d 5s 6d]
Phlexx checks.
swinginglory bets $0.18.
wolfanjack calls $0.18.
Phlexx folds.
Dealing Turn [Ks]
swinginglory checks.
wolfanjack bets $0.36.
swinginglory calls $0.36.
Dealing River [Kc]
swinginglory checks.
wolfanjack bets $0.84.
swinginglory raises to $1.68.
wolfanjack folds.
swinginglory wins $2.14

and on PT3 it shows:

pot = $3.13

rake = $.99

mgr = $.17

amt won = $.65

Please compress the original hand history file where you see these errors and attach them to a Support Ticket on the PokerTracker website so that we can investigate.

Please post your ticket numbers here or in the forums on our site so that we can follow up ASAP.
Thanks.

PT3 working on Merge yet?
06-07-2012 , 02:32 PM
Being on a Mac I am having issues. I have downloaded the 3.13.6 upgrade for Mac, but the HUD is not working. Apparently hand histories are not being exported by the Merge software? I have no record of them in the directory file I have set up.
