I'm having some of the same problem as someone above. Stats are lagging badly - that is, new zoom table appears but stats from previous table hanging around. In fact, I think they are hanging around for many tables.

If I wait instead of prefolding then the stats usually catch up the next hand.

edit: I had displayed "call pfr in LP" stat. I had recently added that. I just removed it and while there is still lag, it "seems" to me to be markedly better.

As today's session went on the problem seemed to stop. I checked it a few times and all seemed good. I might try putting that stat back in and try it for a full session to see what happens.

Hi,

is there any chance PostregSQL 9.1.3 would improve performance of my PT3? Cause now when Im 12+ tabling, Im getting a few seconds lags sometimes.

Did somebody try this newest sql version? I currently use 8.3 version.

It's prompting me to upgrade to a new beta version. How do I do this without losing my database?

When this happend to me, I just uninstalled PT3 and then installed newer version. I lost nothing. The hands were there, the settings stayed the same.

But if you want to be 100% sure, you can backup folder "Processed" in X:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3 -> Processed.
Thats where PT3 saves the HHs.

Just complete the upgrade... the database will not be affected when you upgrade. Do not follow astronaut's advice above, this is NOT recommended.

9.1.x is not supported. PokerTracker only supports up to 9.0.x.

Hello,

when will come new beta to fix NLO8/PLO8 ZOOM problem ?
04-16-2012 , 10:19 AM
I don't have an update on when the next beta will be available, but it will support NLO8 and PLO8 Zoom.
04-17-2012 , 08:17 AM
Thanks. Can you please give some time frame so I don't have to install HEM which supports it.

Hi,

sorry if this has been mentioned before, but it seems that the EV line does not handle multiway pots correctly in v.3.13.4 beta.

Here's a graph:

The very last big losing hand at the end (around 2400 hands) was:

PokerStars - $0.05 NL ZOOM - Holdem - 9 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

BTN: $9.28
SB: $1.73
BB: $4.65
UTG: $5.31
Hero (UTG+1): $5.09
MP: $5.71
MP+1: $4.12
LP: $3.21
CO: $6.10

SB posts SB $0.02, BB posts BB $0.05

Pre Flop: ($0.07) Hero has Q Q

fold, Hero raises to $0.20, MP calls $0.20, fold, fold, CO calls $0.20, BTN calls $0.20, fold, fold

Flop: ($0.87, 4 players) Q K 5
Hero bets $0.60, fold, CO calls $0.60, BTN calls $0.60

Turn: ($2.67, 3 players) K
Hero checks, CO bets $1.53, BTN calls $1.53, Hero raises to $4.29 and is all-in, CO calls $2.76, BTN calls $2.76

River: ($15.54, 3 players) 5
CO bets $1.01 and is all-in, fold

CO shows A K (Full House, Kings full of Fives) (Pre 43%, Flop 3%, Turn 16%)
Hero mucks Q Q (Full House, Queens full of Kings) (Pre 57%, Flop 97%, Turn 84%)
CO wins $14.90

As you can see I got the money in on the turn with 84% equity, but the ev line shows 0 equity. I guess this is because there was still betting on the river, but that betting had nothing to do with the main pot, so it had nothing to do with my EV, right?
04-17-2012 , 02:14 PM
That betting does have to do with your luck adjusted results (note: we don't use the term "EV" because this isn't true "EV" as it's just against the hand your opponent actually held not the range of hands he would hold in that given scenario).

This is not obvious but the reason is because the button (who folded) also had equity in the main pot (even if, obviously, it was not much). Since we can't account for how much equity button did have, we cannot accurately calculate your luck adjusted situations in scenarios like these (where some player who had equity and called the all-in later folds).

are there any plans to support functionality when importing hhs created in the partypoker mac beta client?
04-18-2012 , 09:48 AM
It is my understanding that when the PartyPoker Mac client is no longer in beta and is stable, we will support it. Until then they may change their hand histories radically and without notice which would create considerable problems for us.
04-18-2012 , 12:20 PM
any idea when partypoker will release a stable mac client? also, what kind of radical problems do you envision? right now PT3 doesn't support mac client hhs, so if you wrote code into the next beta to support these hhs and the next day partypoker introduced an update screwing up the hhs and rendering your update useless, how would that be any worse off than where we are now?

If Party does not release a stable version of it's Mac client by the time we start to work on PokerTracker 4 for Mac, then we will be committed to developing using the current beta instead.

Okay so when I'm using pokertracker 3 with zoom, sometimes the HUD doesn't appear at all, sometimes it is by the wrong person, and often it is lagging so I have the HUD from say 2 hands previous.
Any way to fix this? I'll do teamviewer or whatever if needs be.

sorry if this is not a question for this section

I have PT3 last version and I wanted to costumize my hud...so I downloaded some config files for the HUD in the PT3 official webpage. I imported the file to the software, but it still appears as default, even after i configure the new configuration

Any help? Is there any top for HUD config files?

I have same thing going on. Doesn't everyone?

(except mine doesn't do this, "sometimes the HUD doesn't appear at all")

Was it a HUD file that you downloaded or some stats that you want to use in a HUD?
Assuming it's a HUD, and you imported it via Configure > Configure Hud then you should be able to select the the new profile at the table using the PT-icon menu > Change Profile.

I was thinking about purchasing the micro stakes version of pokertracker because I'm a complete donk and would like to know if the previous stats remain when upgrading from the trial version?
Also is pokertracker better for omaha or holdem? This is prob a dumb question but I thought maybe it is more useful to identify leaks in one or the other. Any help would be awesome. Thanks

When you upgrade from the trial to the paid version of PokerTracker all of your data will remain. We feel that if you play on Omaha and Holdem games then you would be best served by purchasing both options.

PS: via the power of magical pixie dust you will no longer be a complete "donk" effective today. Congratulations! </pokergeekhumor>

Another question. What is the version I should download? Is it Pokertracker 3 or 4? I use internet explorer or mozilla firefox, not sure if that matters in any way at all but thought I'd throw it out there. Play on merge and looking for micro version. Thx
