With PokerTracker configured correctly, you simply need to follow these steps to ensure your HUD is operational on Zoom tables. These steps must be followed exactly, otherwise your HUD performance might suffer.
  • Start PokerTracker 3
  • Start PokerStars and Login
  • Start importing hands/HUD
  • Join a Zoom table

If you have any HUD issues, please close both PokerTracker 3 and PokerStars and then start from step 1. Below are some final notes about Zoom and PokerTracker 3:
  • The PokerTracker 4 PokerStars Memory Grabber does not support Zoom tables. It can remain enabled as a preference but it will not perform the same duties that it does at traditional PokerStars tables. If you wish to increase the timing of the Zoom HUD display then you may find that disabling the PokerStars Memory Grabber option will help increase performance.
  • The default seat for players who do not have preferred seating enabled at Zoom tables is seat 3 for 6 max or seat 5 for 9 max tables.
  • For optimal results, please allow the importer to import any existing hand histories before playing Zoom tables to minimize the time it takes the HUD to begin working.
  • As always, make sure that neither PokerStars nor PokerTracker 4 are open before updating the PT3 application.
  • The HERO's on-table HUD will not appear, this is intentional.

I ran the housekeeping, and for that particular day there is still a discrepancy. Funny, though, if I run a "since date" filter, the hand totals match. Let me see what happens in future days. I will also check some other specific dates. I have an old version of the data base, so perhaps that adds to the problem.

Thanks for the tips. Unfortunately they only improved things slightly.

Note, when I play just 1 table the HUD appears <1.5 secs It seems PockerTracker HUD just can't keep up with me when I 4 table on my hardware (Vista 64bit, Quad Core @ 3ghz, 4gb RAM).

How can I export my stats (general, position, hands) into jpeg or a similar format?.. When I click export I only have the .csv option?

Does the cache say 100% for all sections in the Status Bar at the bottom of PT3? If not, run Database > Housekeeping.
Other than that please check the documentation on the PokerTracker website for further general tuning tips, or post in the forums there and we'll be able to work with you more directly to see if we can improve performance for you.

We don't have an image export of normal report, but you can take a screenshot of any window by pressing alt-PrintScreen (or just PrintScreen for the whole screen) and pasting that into your image application.

Thanks for the offer of further assistance Whiterider. I've already checked the FAQ/Support parts of the Ptracker website. I noticed a 7200rpm harddrive is required for this product and I do not have one of those, so I guess that's the reason.
03-31-2012 , 02:01 PM
A 7200rpm drive isn't required, but a slower drive won't give you optimum performance so you may have problems multitabling, especially at such fast tables.

Hey guys, for some reason I am having trouble backing up my PT3 database. For what it's worth, I just downloaded the latest version of PT3 today. Is the backup supposed to be in a zip file? If someone could please walk me though the process, I would greatly appreciate it. I haven't done any kind of backup since before Black Friday, so it has been a while. Thanks again.

Yes, the resulting file should be a .zip file. Please check out the tutorial on Backup and Restore under "Support" on the PokerTracker website, and if you have problems post in the forums there and we'll be able to help you more directly.

Hey,
I just downloaded the new 3.13.2 BETA today, but for some reason whenever i open up PT3 it tells me to update the software (even after i have downloaded it, and installed it)...
Anyone else had this issue?
Thanks!
04-01-2012 , 10:18 AM
I'm not seeing that on my end - does it say 3.13.2 at the top of the main PT3 window?

I think I found my problem, I was trying to extract the zip file. Apparently, I am not Supposed to extract it. I just left it alone, then went to restore the database in PT3, and everything worked fine. Is this correct? Thanks for all your help with this issue.
04-01-2012 , 04:18 PM
Yes - that's right; you restore the .zip file directly. We want to make the process as straightforward as possible and you shouldn't have to do anything outside PT3, other than copying the backup file to the new computer.

Can you advise how to manually import files poker stars sent me via email?

For whatever reason some recent hands haven't come through with auto import so i had Stars email me my last 100 hands. However, they are in the body of the email. How di I get from there into the database?

Thanks.
04-02-2012 , 12:36 PM
Open notepad, copy the body of the email and paste it into notepad. Save it as a text file and then use PokerTracker's Manual Import function to import that file and it should import properly.

Much obliged Kraada. Thanks.

I play on Lock Poker and have a question about the pt3 60 day trial software. The HUD is working great and so is every other aspect of the software besides the hands being imported. While I am playing it will say it is importing the hands yet they do not appear in my library of hands played. Like I said even the HUD is recording these hands. Not sure where to go from here, please help.
04-03-2012 , 03:20 AM
If the HUD is working then the hands have been imported - you need to click Refresh to see newly imported hands. Check that you don't have a filter enabled, and select your Lock screenname in the Player List on the left.
If you continue to have problems please post in the forum on the PokerTracker website where we'll be able to help you more directly.

Hello,

I've been having difficulties with my PT3 HUD. I have the full version of PT3.
I've been playing Zoom on Stars and sometimes the HUD just doesn't display. The hands ARE being imported, though. To fix this, I've been clicking "Stop Auto Import" and then starting it again. This works pretty well but sometimes I have to do it 2-3 times before my HUD displays. Today it stopped working all together though. I even tried restarting PT3 but that didn't work. Help, please?

Please follow the instructions in the PokerStars Guide on the PokerTracker website. On the PokerTracker home page click Support, select PT3 Guides & Tutorials, select Site Configuration, then PokerStars.

On the PT3 Site it says to follow these steps in this precise order:
1. Start up PT3
2. Open and log in to PokerStars
3. Begin Auto Import
4. Start up zoom tables

However, I have tried these steps 10 times without any success. Once I get it going I just leave it on all day and don't have any further problems. It's getting it going that's the problem. Yesterday I was able to get it working but today I'm having even more difficulties than yesterday.

I only have this problem with Zoom and no other format.

Zoom hud stopped working suddenly an hour ago after some Stars server issues. It's worked for dozens of sessions until now, with the above instructions. I didn't change any settings in between. It's still importing fine but no hud.

Does anyone else have the same problem?
04-04-2012 , 09:08 AM
Yes, many people are having this problem, it appears to have only stopped working on Zoom.
04-04-2012 , 09:46 AM
The development team are working on the issue with the Zoom HUD after the PokerStars update - please bear with us, we'll get a fix out as soon as possible.
