Recently, I've been having trouble booting up PokerTracker. I recently intalled an update, but I also recently disabled the postgres username on my computer, which I never logged on under anyway.
In the past I could start PokerTracker up, but could not import hand histories as I hadn't downloaded postgres. When I downloaded postgres my computer would offer me two accounts to login under when windows started up. I tried to log on under the 'postgres' username, but it required a password I didn't know of, and so couldn't log on to my computer under that username. That didn't seem to matter though, because when I used my regular username PokerTracker was finally able to import hands. I recently disabled the postgres username so I could boot up my computer without having to select a user.
Now I can't start PokerTracker at all, because it prompts a window titled 'Configure PostgresSQL Database,' which contains pre-entered data, but fails to 'create' a database when I simply select the 'Create' button. So, at this point I'm not sure whether the recent PokerTracker update installation is causing this issue, or if it is the fact that I disabled the postgres username, which I never used anyway when I booted up the computer. By the way, self-diagnosing the latter is difficult because I can't rember how I disabled the postgres username
, but I cross my fingers that it isn't the problem because I prefer my computer to login automatically!
Thanks for any help!
