is there a filter in pt3 that shows the hands that i got bad beat in ????

when i was more than 50% better when all in then got beaten by the turn or the river ?????

No - EV/equity values are not stored in the database for PT3 so cannot be filtered for.
You could click on the column header for the All-in equity stat in a report to sort it and see all your way ahead or behind hands together, though.

Is there anyone at all that can guide me through an issue I have been having with PT3?

I recently had to install a new hard drive into my computer. Luckily, I backed up my Poker Tracker 3 folder from the Program Files directory to my external hard drive. I reinstalled Windows 7, and finally dragged and dropped over my PokerTracker 3 folder to the new internal HD. Now, when I go to start PT3, it says this:

Configure PostgreSQL database:

There are a bunch of fields pre-filled in. I'm unsure of what is supposed to go here so I just click Create.

I then receive this error:

Unable to create PostgreSQL database: PT3_2012_02_01_224033
Reason: Unable to login to database (template1). Reason: could not connect to server: Connection refused (0x0000274D/10061) Is the server running on host "???" and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432?

I was told to install PostGreSQL 8.3.17 and make sure my Windows Firewall was turned off. Still same issue.

I'm stumped. Please help.

So PostgreSQL is installed? Click Start type services and click on it when it appears. Do you see PostgreSQL in the list? Can you start the service?

Sorry, I'm sure this has been answered before. I looked around for a while and couldn't find a straight answer. Does the HUD work on the Cake network? Is it only for the current session, or does it work normally with all sessions?

PokerTracker was the first company to provide a HUD with Cake's permission, at first this was a session only HUD but Cake changed it's policies to allow a full HUD now!

If you're not seeing the HUD at your Cake tables it could be because you are running a PT3 version from before HUDs were allowed - if you're not using v3.11.9 Beta please update.

Perfect, thank you.

Is pt4 going to be supported on Mac osx?
02-14-2012 , 01:33 PM
Yes it will, though the OS X release will come a bit after the Windows release as we are currently focusing more on Windows development first.

One more note on Cake which we forget to mention earlier, only Cake 2.x is supported, the older 1.x client is not supported because the hand histories are not compatible.

When is the merge rebuy tournament situation going to be fixed? This is so frustrating.

I'm using the 1.153.1 and PT3 hud works for me. Hand histories are importing fine too.

ALLIN all in is there a way to show a villains all-in % in the HUD while were playing
02-16-2012 , 04:30 AM
Do you mean the equity in the current hand? That isn't possible as we get information about hands from the hand history file which is written after the hand finishes.

^ No ^ Is what i'm talking about is how many times villain has gone all in based on the hand history. I don't care what street they were on, or how much it was for, or anything else, just how many times they went allin so i can compare it to how many hands they played.
02-16-2012 , 11:25 AM
That can certainly be done. As a custom column in PT3 it would be defined as follows:

cnt_push_allin: sum(if[holdem_hand_player_statistics.enum_allin <> 'N', 1, 0])

for times a player pushes all in.

cnt_call_allin: sum(if[holdem_hand_player_detail.amt_bet_ttl = holdem_hand_player_detail.amt_before AND (lookup_actions_r.action LIKE '%C' OR (lookup_actions_r.action = '' AND lookup_actions_t.action LIKE '%C') OR (lookup_actions_t.action = '' AND lookup_actions_f.action LIKE '%C') OR (lookup_actions_f.action = '' AND lookup_actions_p.action LIKE '%C'), 1, 0])

for times a player goes all in by calling.

Hello all, new here and relatively new to online poker - decided having been browsing these forums for a while that getting poker tracker would be hugely +EV, so I did, but I've tried several times to import hand histories and all it does is erase them completely from my computer - not only do they not appear on poker tracker, they're erased from the hand histories folder on my harddrive too. Anyone any idea what's going on? Search didn't turn up any similar problems.

Thanks.
02-16-2012 , 02:10 PM
We don't delete hand histories, we just move them so that they are not reprocessed - you can find them in our processed folder which is by default C:\Program Files (x86)\PokerTracker 3\Processed. They will all be there. If they're being read and moved and not showing in the main window even after you click Refresh you may need to upgrade to our most recent version - make sure you are on 3.11.9. If you are on 3.10 certain poker sites (notably PokerStars) won't work properly.
02-16-2012 , 02:26 PM
Ah, that'll be it, I am using Pokerstars and the histories were exactly where you said they'd be. Thanks for the prompt reply, amazing service!

Hi all,

I play Hyper turbo HUSNGs and would like to incorporate a hud into my game in the view that in the future I can use it when I am comfortable playing more than one table.

Currently, my hud can take anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 minutes to load when I start a game. Does anyone know of a way to speed this up? A lot happens in this time (average game length is only around 3.5 mins).

My PC that I play poker on is also my gaming pc so should be fast enough (4ghz quadcore with 4gb ram etc)

I have PT3 set to only need one hand before it starts the hud.

Thanks

+1

HEM already has it fixed and I am seriously thinking about just getting the new HEM instead of waiting for PT4.

We're testing this internally, but we have a couple of other fixes to finish and test too - I expect it pretty soon now, but that is subject to successful testing.

Is the cache showing 100% in the status bar at the bottom of PT3? If not, run Database > Housekeeping.
Do you see duplicates reported when you start importing?
Make sure you start the import before you start playing so that PT3 doesn't have to catch up with the hands already written.
If you continue to have problems please start a thread in the forum on the PokerTracker website where we will be able to help you more directly.
