Thank you very much WR.

I would like information on how my win rate varies as I add tables.
Is there a way I can produce a table or a graph that shows BB/100 versus
number of tables simultaneously played?
08-23-2011 , 04:42 PM
I had the PT3 trial installed a few months ago, but uninstalled it when the trial ran out. I bought the microstakes version, but it said that the default login information for PostgreSQL was incorrect. I tied reinstalling PostgreSQL but during the installation processes it asks for a password to the database superuser (postgres). The reinstall didn't delete the user account, so how do I get rid of it so I can make a new password?

Grouping by this value is a bit tricky; I've been meaning to take a look into it but haven't had a chance to do so. I'll bump it on my list and get back to you once I have an answer (and if I can build it, I'll gladly send you the report as well).

The default passwords used by PT3 are either:
svcPASS83
or
dbpass

Holdem Manager uses:
postgrespass

So depending you may want to try that as well.

I have been using PT3 for some time on Pokerstars and recently switched to 888. The 'stats' that overlay the table are covering the chip stacks of around half of the seats, as in the image below.

Is there a setting I can change to fix this?

Thanks.

First time using HUD so excuse me if im missing something here. But i've just started using PT3 and the player database doesn't include my username anywhere!!

So i can bring up stats and winnings/loses of opponents but not me!

Yes the HUD does show my stats but not my overall stats on the Hold Em tab in the software itself.

Pls help! I'm thinking of purchasing it but not if i can't even get a rundown of my total playing stats.

Also, im using playing poker on PlayNow (based on boss software) and PT3 says it can't recognise tournaments !!! Ughhh

I'm also going to be buying into PartyPoker soon so i'm hoping PT3 works there.. ?

Also... now when i start PT3 it says i need to update the database, when i click okay it comes up with an error and it wont let me open PT3 at all!

Not a good start to using this software.....

You can right-click-drag the stats to where you want them and then click the PT-icon on the table and choose Save Layout.
See the HUD Guides in the Documentation on the PokerTracker website for more information.

Is there any way to just back up the player notes database?
08-25-2011 , 04:29 AM
You can export the notes from your database(s) using the "Backup" function. For more information please see the Backup & Restore tutorial in the FAQs & Tutorials forum on the PokerTracker website.

hello to all
i am french and new to poker so i never post on a poker forum before. I read you are the best so i think it's a good place to begin with.
There is some stats that i would love to get my hands on but i don't even know if they are technically possible.
do you know a of a stat that could give me the %fold of players depending on the size of the bet they face.(for example between 0 and 40% 40/60 60/80 80/100 100/125 and >125) (on F/T/R if possible) Because i think that some people fold more to smaller bet and call more to big bet.
I know it depends on the situation. Sometimes a small bet look strong or a big bet looks week but i really think that this could be a very interesting stat.

Also i would like to find post flop stats depending on the number of players, like cb vs 2 3 4 or more.

%bet when last to act posflop (check to)

average opening bet (preflop)

average bet sizing posflop on flop turn river
%
all-in and fold to all in overbet

%fold to 2,5X 3X 4X 5X opening raise
last question:
how to find our leaks with pokertracker? maybe you have custom reports with specific stats to look for
If you read my post entirely, thank you
08-26-2011 , 05:05 AM
All of those stats should be possible as custom stats - take a look at the custom stats and reports tutorial in the FAQs & Tutorials section of the PokerTracker website and if you want help building them then post on our forum and we'll help you out.
Note: custom stats are not available in the trial version.

We have leak finding functionality planned for PT4, but there is nothing specific in PT3. The Position report is a good place to start - you will find good discussions of stat analysis in the strategy forums here.

I was just playing a hand where I got an Ace high flush draw in on the flop vs an opponent who was bluffing Jack High.

I took down the pot but when the HUD displayed it showed -$5.20 for him and $0 for me when the recap popup showed.

I refreshed my graph and it didn't show the gain.

I pulled the hand and it showed the correct results. I copied the hand and pasted to txt and tried to manually import but this just showed as a dup (which I kind of expected).

So is there a way to drop the hand from the db and re-import?

Will it let me back them up to disk? Or it just wants to move the player notes immediately to another database?
Here is the thing.. I going to reformat my computer shortly & I am just trying to save my Pokertracker notes. If they are in a newly created database, that doesn't really help me.

Hi

What's the best way of moving the database & software to a new computer (my laptop is dying a slow death atm) - if its possible

Please attach the original hand history file to a support ticket on the PokerTracker website and tell us the hand number and we'll look into the cause.
You can purge and re-import the session using the Database Management window to see if that detects it correctly. There is a tutorial on purging in the FAQs & Tutorials forum on the PokerTracker website if you need more information.

The backup is written to a file which you can save anywhere and copy off your computer.

The best way is to make a backup of your system - choose Backup from the PT3 "File" menu.
There is a backup/restore tutorial in the FAQs & Tutorials section of the PokerTracker forum if you need more information.

Does it matter which skin you play on? I just started playing on Intertops, played 2 sessions and the HUD didn't work either time.

I'm using the most recent update of PT3

1. How to filter players whose have > 500 hands versus Hero?
2. How to filter players whose "3bet preflop" higher than 10%?

Thanks in advance

What version of PT3 are you currently using? If you're not using our latest Beta version, you'll need to upgrade to it for that functionality to be available.

You can do either of these in custom reports by using the blue Filters link at the left. The filter for more than 500 hands would be: #Hands# > 500 and the other would be #3Bet Preflop# > 10

Hey, I was just wondering if it is possible to add columns to the information displayed in the Sessions Tab such as EV adjusted winnings for the session etc?

Many thanks
