Sorry if this is a bad place to ask but I can't configure PT3 with postgresql. I have both installed on my computer but when I open PT and try to configure I get an error message that just says "unable to establish a connection". I am really computer illiterate so is there anywhere I can take my computer to that will sort this out for me? (I live in UK, near Coventry).

If you create a support ticket one of our technicians will work with you to get everything working properly.

How do I get PT3 to grab the results of HUSNG's? I have had to manually enter the results for each one... not cool at all.

I'm on Lock Poker

For Heads Up tournaments we should be able to figure it out from the actual hands in the tournament. Could you please attach some of these tournaments to a support ticket? That will help us in figuring out why they aren't being detected properly.

It is detecting that it is a HU SNG, but not the buy-in or the result.

I don't mind putting in the BI, but entering the result when playing multiple games can get a bit confusing.

I'll file a support ticket in a bit.

If we can't detect the buy-in we can't detect how much you won (even if we detect you do win). Send us the hand histories though and we'll look through them and see if there's anything we can use to detect the buy-in amount in them.

^ this exact thing is happening to me. except its not HU SNG. its regular MTTs. there are no buyin or results shown. (im using the PT3 trial btw)

PT3 had a message that said it wasn't getting the tourney summary.

Most sites do not write tournament results information to your computer, and a few don't even include the buy-in information in the hand histories. Please read the Tournaments FAQe for more information.

I read through both the basic and advanced HUD setup guides, and didn't see these addressed:

1. Is there a way to have multiple HUD panels for a single villian? I want to have some stats above and below their avatar.

2. The HUD disappears for ~5 seconds after every hand to refresh. Is there a way to reduce/eliminate this? (playing on Bodog if that matters)

Thanks in advance.

(1) Yes. If you add an additional group it will show up as a separate panel. See the Tutorial: Managing HUD Groups for more on how to configure and use multiple groups.

(2) That does not sound normal. Where are you seeing such a long delay? Do you have your cache at 100%?

Yea, its at 100% and I only have a few thousand hands. It's likely because I run HEM and PT3 simultaneously. I was just wondering if the disappearing HUD was a common occurrence with an easy fix that I was missing. However, HEM HUD performance doesn't suffer at all.

Is there a way to have PT3 move the HH files to processed immediately? Currently PT3 doesn't move the files until I stop the auto-import. I can't seem to find where PT3 even keeps the Bodog HH before moving them to the processed files folder. If it's possible, I'd prefer to only have HEM HUD running, and it could just read from PT3's processed files folder(or, if it exists, the temporary folder PT3 keeps them in before moving them).

And this delay is in the HUD on a live table? HEM running or not that still seems like something very strange is going on.

Please restart PT3 with the Logging Enabled link, reproduce this delay and report this problem. The log file will contain considerable data about your configurations and the queries and the times they took to run and they should help us figure out what is going wrong.

Schwatt - the issue with the stats disappearing at Bodog tables when it is your turn to act is caused by the way that Bodog manage their table windows. We don't currently have a work around for this. The stats should reappear as soon as you click on the table, though.

Yep, this is correct.

Do either of you have an answer to my other question about where the HH are stored before PT3 moves them to the processed files folder upon stopping auto-import?

You can see where the hand histories are being written to and imported from in Auto Import > Bodog Configuration.

hi, on microgaming these are these anonymous tables, does PT3 have a feature to display stats only from current table session ? Then when I close the same table and come back in 15 min or whatever and it would start from beginning again?
06-19-2011 , 09:26 AM
Not at this point in time.

Hi I have only ever played in USD.
I am going to be playing in pounds, euros and dollars from now on. I read your multicurrency guide but tbh I am thick as pig**** and found it hard to follow.
If I play a session mixing currencies how will it affect my results? Am I right in thinking that I could just go and find my username in the currency config tab at the end of each session where currency other than my usual currency, $, is used, click a few buttons and it would convert any or Euro wins or losses into $ using todays conversion rates?
Cheers, confused.
06-20-2011 , 10:49 AM
Basically, yes.
Your sessions will all be imported as the correct currency, and to see the amount of , € or $ you won you can use the Amount Won (Native) stat.
Once you have selected your global currency you can use the Amount Won (Global) stat to see your results converted to your main currency.
To define what conversion rate is used for each session you use the Configure Currency window.
If you don't make any changes then today's rate will be used for all sessions. This will give you a pretty good estimate of the current value of your winnings, were you to cash out now. Depending on how your site(s) manage your bankroll and which currency it is in, that may be what you want.
If you need or want each session to be converted at the exchange rate on the day it was played you will need to select all sessions (or those since you last did this) and click Automatic Rates.
If your site uses a different exchange rate to this you will need to enter the rates manually for each session based on the values that the site uses when you cash-in/out.

Hi mate, I played a session today mixing with $ tables, $ being my native currency.
PT3 is recording wins and losses on the tables as $ creating an innacuracy, I've been in the configure currency tab but I'm struggling to figure how I put this right.
I know info is out there but I really have a hard time follwoing it and applying it to my needs. Any chance you could talk me through the process of correction?
Sorry for being a pain.

Please start a thread in the PokerTracker 3 Forum where we can go through things in detail, and explain exactly what problem you're having. If you could post screenshots to illustrate that would help.

i have few questions about calculation of table averages stats used in HUD:

- are Hero stats used when averages are calculated?
- are Hero stats used when averages are calculated for a Rush table? (where Hero session stats does not exist)
* if 'yes' for any of two the above, what Hero stats are used? session or all-time?
* if 'no', averages will be totals divided by 8 for a full-ring 9 players table?

- what villains stats are used: all-time or session-stats ?
- if my HUD has 'min hands required' set to N, a Villain which i have fewer than N hands with will be taken into account when calculating averages?
* if 'not', the table average will just ignore that Villain OR consider his values as 0 but still dividing sums to total nr of players?

Hero stats are not used in calculating table averages. What you see in a Table Averages group is the pure average of that stat for all non-hero players at the table.

So at a full 9-handed table, you'll see the averages on the other 8 players.

These averages are based on lifetime stats on villains, unless you have the Last X Hands option enabled, then it uses only the last X hands for each player when calculating that player's stats.

I'm not 100% certain what happens with a player with less hands than required to display; I believe they are completely ignored as if they weren't there. So their stats aren't displayed, they aren't a "person" for table averages, they don't contribute a number nor do they drop the overall average.
