PokerTracker 3 PokerTracker 3

3.06 is very old at this point in time. Please upgrade to at least 3.10 and then purge and reimport that session and it should work properly for you. You can find 3.10 and 3.11 on our download page.

Yes – Lock Poker is on the Merge Network, which is supported.

im having some problems with postgress..

it seems to use quite a few processes, eating my CPU. quite frequently, when im 12 tabling, 100% of my CPU will be used, and itll be extremely choppy, freezing every so often.

is there anything i can do to optimize this on my computer?

im using the newest version of PT3, as well as the latest version of postgress 8.3.

please help!!

PostgreSQL will use quite a few processes - that is normal behaviour.
That doesn't automatically mean that things should be slow, though - please check the FAQ: PT3 HUD for performance tuning tips. There's also a link there for how to send us your log files if you still have problems after following the recommendations.

So there is absolutely no way to play rush with a HUD on mac??
05-31-2011 , 07:13 PM
That's correct, I'm afraid.

And is there nothing PT3 can do to circumvent this problem? Is it all mac-dependant?
06-01-2011 , 09:57 AM
It's a result of the built in OS X security policy and there is nothing we can do about it at this point in time.

I've just bought myself a new laptop and manually imported the hands I had on my old computer by importing the "processed" folder which I had put on a USB. At first I thought everything was okay, but then I noticed that my winnings are way off. What can I do to solve this?
06-02-2011 , 01:10 PM
What site were you playing at? Do the numbers of hands match up?
06-02-2011 , 01:31 PM
I play STT's on Full Tilt, the amount of tournaments I played is correct. I did get 100+ errors while importing. (I suppose these are hands PT3 can't import, but I don't understand how this can effect my profit if I'm a tournament player where individual hands aren't that important?)
06-02-2011 , 01:34 PM
I have just found out what causes my problem. When I checked my finish positions, there are quite a lot of STT's where my finish is 0. I'm 100% sure that this wasn't the case on my previous computer. How can I fix this? PT3 must have saved it somewhere because it worked just fine a week ago on my other computer.

You can edit the tournaments manually via the Tournaments --> Enter Holdem (or Omaha) Results window. If you have summaries that are not importing properly, please send them to us along with the hand histories for the tournament via our support system and we'll investigate further for you.

If your tournaments are STTs you can use the auto detect mechanism to calculate your results.
Tutorial: Tournament Auto Detection
For Full Tilt there should be tournament summary files, though - don't you still have those too?

You can filter to hands where you made a c-bet (Tutorial: Filters) but that won't tell you how often your c-bet won immediately. You could combine it with a check for not facing a flop raise and not seeing the turn, though - that will show you how many hands you won immediately with a c-bet.
Alternatively there are a set of stats available for free download from the "Get More" section, called "Cash: C-Bet fold/call/raise & success" (uploaded by me) which includes a stat showing how often your c-bets won immediately.

I'm now on RPM. The PT3 doc's listed here still good for 3.11.2 version set-up with the Merge client?
06-04-2011 , 05:20 AM
Yes - there is a slight difference to the settings windows in the Merge software, but the settings are basically the same.
06-05-2011 , 06:22 AM
Do you have updated files for the autorate function?
06-05-2011 , 08:42 AM
We have default options for the autorate section but they have not changed in some time - is there some trouble with them?
06-05-2011 , 08:49 AM
Oh so you're saying that the default option is sufficient?

Is there any explanations on each icon and how you are rated? Like right now, I am rated as a money bag, is that a good thing or a bad thing?
06-05-2011 , 09:39 AM
I've never personally found anything better, but I admit I haven't done a lot of research in that area.

You can see what the default setup means on the Rules tab. The money bag indicates that your VP$IP is less than 20, PFR is more than 5 and aggression factor is more than 3. So you don't play a massive amount of hands, when you do play you at least raise fairly consistently and you bet or raise more than 3 times as often as you call postflop.

Hi,
I'm having some problems with importing hands in pokertracker. I´m playing on pokerstars. When i try to run auto import this message appears:

Unable to import hand (#62971140444). Reason: Unable to execute query: COPY tourney_holdem_hand_player_statistics FROM STDIN;; Reason: Fatal Error (ERROR: invalid input syntax for integer: "f" CONTEXT: COPY tourney_holdem_hand_player_statistics, line 1, column cnt_players: "f" )
Also the hud doenst start while playing.

What version of PT3 are you currently using? Did you recently try to downgrade?
