im trying to switch from HM to PT3. how can i get my hands from my HM database. i assumed since both used postgres it could just grab from there but looking at the database management settings in each program it looks as if they are blind to each others databases.. is there another way?

Can i Export HEM data on to PT3?

Also PT3 runs on MAc?

Thank you!
That sort of information is pretty complicated to extract from the database, and isn't currently possible.

HEM's database structure is completely different to PT3's.
You will need to import your hands to PT3. The best way is to Manual Import from the original hand history files (which HEM should have archived somewhere), but if you do not have the originals you will be able to export your hands from HEM and then import those files into PT3.

Yes. The Mac version is almost identical to the Windows version, except that for technical reasons beyond our control the HUD does not work for OnGame tables or Full Tilt "Rush" tables on Mac. Also, not all poker sites have native Mac clients - PT3 supports those which do, and hand histories for the others can still be imported using Manual Import.

updated today to the newest version and get errors when i start auto import and my hud isn't working, pretty frustrating.

Quote:
Pokerstars: Unable to load hand history file: C:\Path

Unable to begin feeder import process. Reason: Unsupported database type: Pokertracker 3 Database

The Hud was unable to connect to the configured databases.
Please check your settings.
i didn't change anything

What do you see in the Hand History Directory box on the PokerStars Configuration tab in PT3?

lol, the conditions can't both be satisfied at the same time so I got to select OR.
You are right ty

What do you do if PT3 is not importing hands on a certain site?
03-26-2011 , 05:07 AM
Please check the configuration guide for your site in the Documentation, and the FAQ: Importing to PT3.
If you still have problems please report your problem so that we can investigate further.

Is there a stat "bet when checked " ?
03-26-2011 , 07:35 AM
I'm not sure exactly what you mean? You can't bet if you check, and you can only bet if it is checked before you.
Do you mean bet when in position? (last to act, or just in position on the previous aggressor?)

One stat which might be what you want is "Float Flop", which is how often you bet the flop after the preflop aggressor has checked instead of making a continuation bet.

Did update cache and rebuild cache after a big manual import. Database is ~2.9M hands. The green bar has been stuck for around 3 hours at the same spot. Is this normal? Should I just wait or shut it down and try again?

I recently installed PT3. I thought it was working at cash tables but then I realized it was only picking up observer hands even though I am seated at the table. I have my screen name set in the cash game tab. I've looked through all the settings and can't seem to fix this issue.

Are any of the postgres.exe processes in Task Manager > Processes using any CPU? If so, let it carry on for a while and see if it progresses.
If not, you may need to end it and try again.

I guess you're playing at PokerStars?
Please read the PokerStars Configuration Guide in the Documentation. If that and the PT3 Importing FAQ / PT3 HUD FAQ doesn't help please report your problem so that we can check your config and troubleshoot the issue.

No CPU usage and the green bar is still at the same place. Guess I can just stop it then.

Totally confused. Since when is floating = to betting? Is this something specific only to PT3 stats? A typical float would be calling a bet (regardless of pf aggressor), usually with the intention of trying to take it away on a later street.

Yes, I think you'll need to stop and restart it.

The "Float" stats in PT3 record when you call behind and then bet when checked to on the next street. Unless you get chance to bet behind we do not know what the intention of the call was, so counting those wouldn't indicate a float as such.

I want to buy PT3, mainly so I hear it can be used for a handgrabber at Bodog. Are there still tons of affiliates out there that offer it free when you deposit thru them? I already have a roll at FTP, but any other place accepting US customers I would like to try so I can get free PT3

Thx for the reply, only one problem. I already downloaded the software and picked a user name. Never deposited anything though. Can I contact stars and tell them I want to do this?

Unfortunately you must download PokerStars through our link and then sign up in order to qualify for the offer.
