I intend to play from my desktop, except periodically when I travel and must use my laptop. So would there be any downside to just backing up the database prior to traveling and importing on the laptop, then backing up again from the laptop when I intend to resume play from the desktop? I'll probably only travel once every couple of months, and then I'll be gone for about a week or two at a time, so there wouldn't be frequent transfer back and forth.

No, that would work fine. It would also mean that you make at least fairly regular backups, which is always good!

Quick question: I've noticed lately that nearly every time when I begin auto importing that the hand histories from my previous session are pulled from and imported again. PT3 does correctly read them as duplicates, but this happens almost every time I start importing. I make sure PT3 imports every hand from a session before I end the importing process, so is there any specific reason why it would reimport everything again when I initially start it up the next time?

Also, this leads me to another question, which is are duplicate hands immediately deleted? Or are they deleted when running housekeeping? Or are they not deleted at all?

Just started taking up poker again after a 4 month break and noticed that I have to manually go into PT3 and enter the tourney type and table type for each SNG I played in the sesh (tourney type and table type are showing up as N/A and thus not updating to my winnings column and graph - which is filtered by NL H/E Speed turbo. The tournaments, though, do show up in the tournament column, so the issue is not that they are not being recognized. It is only after I change tourney type to N/L HE and table type to SNG speed/turbo that PT3 will update. I never had to do this before, could anyone help me with this problem? Thanks in advance.

just downloaded it and its saying i have a -100 percent roi in husngs. when i graph it it is straight down despite saying im up in bbs. Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it? I'm not THATTT bad

Duplicates are not imported so do not need to be deleted.

Basically, in the HUD, I am looking to find the stat that would show cbet % after 3betting on the flop and turn. I have already found the stats for fold to cbet after 3 bet, and call cbet after 3bet.

Do you want the percentage of times that the player makes a c-bet on the river after c-betting the flop and being raised and 3-betting, and the same on the turn?

Or do you mean the percentage of times the player c-bet the flop and turn after 3-betting preflop.

Can you give us an example of the action that you want to count?

I am trying to get a report that would show me day by day breakdown of Amount Won, BB/100, Rake, MGR?

I know I can add those stats to a report, but how do I group it by day?

I think that the HUD stopped working on Bodog. I am using Beta 3.09.3 beta. It was working yesterday & I did not notice any update by Bodog.

Nevermind, I don't know what was wrong. Whatever it was, though, it fixed itself when I rebooted the software.

is it normal for PT3 to use up to 2GB of RAM? I run a mac with 4GB and whenever I'm running PT3 the amount of RAM it is using constantly increases until there is none available and then it starts lagging/crashing... If I buy more RAM will it fix this problem?

That isn't normal behavior. What version of PT3 are you currently using?

3.09.3, but it's done this as long as I can remember (been using almost 12 months)

We do have a known issue with increasing memory use on the Mac version, but this seems to be related to the way Mac OS manages memory and we are still investigating. Please create a Support ticket and we'll link it to the issue in our system.

Also, is multi entry tourney tracking in the next version?

We are continually trying to improve our multi-entry tournament detection. They should already be working as separate tournaments in our latest beta version though - what problems are you having with them?

i changed something on my hud and now cannot figure out how to fix it,before i would be able to click on the hud to bring up more stats,now i cannot and havent been able to remember/figure out what i changed.

mine currently show up as one tourney with a big rebuy and then only record the first entries results, also the HUD shows hero stats for all entries combined but that isn't a big deal.

The Tutorial: Managing HUD Groups explains how to re-link the popups, or if you haven't made any changes that you want to keep you could revert the Profile to the default. (Tutorial: Managing HUD Profiles)

Is there ever a situation where someone would be missing the table "omaha_hand_summary" in their pt3 database? I have installed pt3 on several computers and that table is always generated. However, I sell a 3rd party application and someone is complaining that he is getting an error:

ERROR: 42P01: relation "omaha_hand_summary" does not exist

That should be created when every PT3 database is built - you can see the database schema in the PT3 Schemas folder - every Omaha database version has had an omaha_hand_summary table as far as I'm aware.

I cant seem to save my layout. Everytime I open a new table, the stats are all under the wrong names. I fix the problem, then click save layout, but the new table still has the names in the wrong place.
