The site is up. You may have a firewall blocking your access.

Will there be an option to export hands?

Dumping a database doesn't work all the time, for example I had to format my computer due to a virus and one database wouldn't dump at all (maybe that was due to the virus because it caused a buffer overrun) but the other database dumped correctly, but when I wanted to restore it, I got an error. Thankfully I still have the exported hand histories.
The colors will be configurable. An export hands option will be created further down the road.

Yes, they have just been updated to look nicer.

As another poster mentioned, every import requires a refresh if you want to see the new hands. Also, if you have set your FTP name as an alias to another name, your FTP name will not be available in the player list anymore.

Seems like those fields were deleted, and the royal flush thing was added? Is that it and why were those deleted? Seemed pretty useful to me.
Those fields were actually added to the database recently, not removed.

mmm.. that's strange.
my firewall isn't blocking your site. I turned it off to be sure. Pokertracker3.com just stopped working a couple hours ago. PT3 doesn't start anymore either.

Will there eventually be a filter to sort the player list by number of hands played? This would make it pretty easy to quickly find regulars and study/take notes on their play.

OK, I downloaded 4 to check out the icons. Nice work! A couple of questions/suggestions:

1. PAHUD currently only allows you to display a small player icon, but you can increase the size of the font for stats. I think it would be cool to allow the icons to be increased in size. Maybe the easiest way to do this would be to have a small icon and a big icon option. (Obviously I use the icons a lot)

2. When auto-rating players, I think an OR function should be included.

3. Is it possible to have a feature that does not display a stat if it exceeds or doesn't meet certain parameters? An example would be if I have 12,186 hands on a player. I don't feel I need to display that number because it is a big enough sample size so it is just consuming space and a bit of my focus. I would like to be able to not display the total # of hands for players that have >500 hands in my database (or maybe a different number but you get the point).

The product is looking very nice. I had a lot of problems with the original PAHUD and I'm hoping that they won't exist with the new version. (I tried to resolve them through the forums but couldn't quite get that accomplished so I've been using Realtime).

How about making it auto refresh, after a manual import or when you have imported more than 100 hands at once, so it wouldn't refresh every minute, but would prevent the problem a new user has when he's not seeing the players. I wanted to post the same, but then decided to restart the application first.

Yes, you will be able to filter by hand count, VP$IP, PFR, just about any other stat too.

1. If this is something a lot of people would use, I would not be against having our graphic designer make larger versions of the icons.

2. The auto-rate functionality will have a lot of flexibility and power. You'll basically be able to do just about anything you want with it.

3. The HUD will offer a lot more flexibility that PA Hud currently does. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Is PT3 still indicating that hands are being imported? Perhaps you should open up a support ticket on this. Give us all the details you can and we'll work one on one with you until we figure it out.

Auto-refresh options are coming.

Downloaded the beta 4, imported ~200k hands from old PT2 party poker database, made filter where hero had 3bet, selected hands tab, selected AK hand, double clicked the hand where money lost was the most, replayed hand, ok.. same thing for the 2nd biggest loser, all ok.. double clicked the 3rd hand, and PT3 crashed.
02-14-2008 , 04:34 PM
Does it crash consistently? Can you reproduce it?
02-14-2008 , 06:15 PM
will PT3 be able to track SNG winnings without tourney summaries?

Tourney MGR has been able to do this for some time now and PT has always frustrated me by not having this feature.

I tried a few times, but unfortunately(?) no.

Edit: Just occurred to me, I tried beta 3 too, and first time I started it I imported some hands, and after complete, switched to texas holdem tab and it crashed too. But after starting it again it didn't. Just a long shot, but does it do something differently the first time the app has been started, or db created and some hands imported..

For single table SnGs, it might be possible for most sites to determine the placement order and the prize distribution. We plan on doing this for sites that make it possible. For MTT, this isn't possible unless the placement and payment information is placed in the hand histories.

It's unlikely, but possible. If you could do further testing with this, it might show interesting results.

I downloaded the beta 4 version from beta 3 and when I open it, it says "This is an older database. Some reports might not work." When I click Texas Hold Em, Cash Games, it says Unable to select query, player id, site name, and a bunch of other stuff and now I cant get my hands and results to show up.

Also, how do I erase some hand histories? The play money sit and gos are showing up in my tournament results.

You'll need to create a new database. Go to the Database menu -> Database Management. Create a new database in there. Make it default and active and then reimport your hands.

There's no way yet to selectively purge hands from the database. Right now it's all or nothing.

Is there any possibility to solve this problem? I already tried it with UltimateHistory, which automatically saves the HHs into another folder after converting, but PT3 is still giving me the same error message.

Im aware that this question mightve been asked before and feel sorry for not reading through the whole thread before asking, but i actually tried the search engine and besides UltimateHistory it didnt give me any thread about UB and PT3.
UltimateBet is not supported yet. Right now the only sites supported in PT3 are Stars, FTP, and Party. Support for other sites will be added in future beta releases. The developers seem to want to work out as many kinks/bugs as possible before expanding site support.

I just downloaded the v3 with PostgreSQL and when I tried to install I got an NSIS error saying the file was corrupt.

Downloaded the other one and it installed fine, I'll fire it up when I finish my game.

i cant type in new version my name(in settings window)
did i have bug or anything else?

So I'm importing a couple million hands into beta 4 and somehow it ate up all my hard drive space. wtf?

I don't remember how much I had to begin with, but it was at least a couple gigs (I suspect significantly more than that but I can't be sure) because of some files I deleted today, and then 25% through the import the "Your c: drive is low on disk space" pops up. I deleted a 700MB file and I'm now watching the free disk space slowly decline again while the import continues.
02-15-2008 , 05:00 AM
Yeh I suggest you make atleast 100 gig partition dedicated to postgresql data files. A dedicated hard drive - even better.

Is this serious or a joke? Can PT3 makers tell us how much space is needed for 2-3 million hands?
02-15-2008 , 06:38 AM
If you have a beta3 DB, and importing to a beta4 DB, that can use up double the space for the same data. Make sure you delete all of your beta3 DB, before importing the new beta4 DB. I assume many of u have a HM DB and PT2 DB on your machine like I do. My current SQL folder is only ~6 GB right now, but I only have ~200k hands in each of my 3 databases. Rough guesstimate = 10gb per 1 million hands, but probably less, as I think I have at least 2 different PT2 DB's.
02-15-2008 , 06:52 AM
10gb per 1 million hands, wow that sucks, i guess playing on my laptop isnt the best idea then.
02-15-2008 , 06:53 AM
I may be off, I am just taking a real wild guess, for the time being. I am sure someone witha single, large DB will chime in soon.

I forgot - my HM DB does have a lot of mined hands I am forgetting all about, in my guess-timate. I am possibly off by a wide margin.
02-15-2008 , 07:25 AM
Does PT2 require this much disk space as well??? wtf?

I don't feel like clearing out half of my hard drive so I guess I'll save the observed hand imports for later.

fwiw, 1.4 mil hands took 5 hours (77 hands/s).
