Did you try following step 2 under troubleshooting?
02-08-2011 , 03:06 PM
long time pt user and love it,i just glanced at the last few pages and did not see anything about the new multi entry tourneys on full tilt, srry if i missed it

They should be working in our most recent beta (3.09.3) - at the moment they will detect as one single tournament - but the HUD should display properly and all hands should import just fine.

I am playing DONs on PS; turbos and regulars. When i set the filter in PT3 that it only shows the regular ones (Filter/Tournaments/Tables Types--->STT SNG DON) it says i played only one which is for sure wrong.
I want to see separated graphs/results for turbos and regulars (and the different buyins of course as well). From the amount of tournaments that are shown when its combined i can tell that the regular ones are counted as turbos. What am i doing wrong here?
On a sidenote i want to say that i requested my tournament history from PS and imported it into PT3 manually which was successfull.

I was also wondering if there is no option to show a graph and results only for a specific timeframe.. lets say for 2010 or since 1.1.2011. Is that option there and i didnt see it or will it come in future updates?

I hope you can help.

It's possible some of those tournaments were mistagged by our system - you can adjust them manually via the Tournaments --> Enter Holdem Results window.

Regarding the graphs, if you filter your PT3 data for a certain time frame the graph you'll see will be only from hands within that time frame - so if you filter for between 1/1/2010 and 12/31/2010 you'll see your graph for all of 2010.

thx, kraada, for the fast answer.
i found the option for the timeframe now. adjusting the mistagged tournaments manually will be hassle due to the big amount.

I just tried install pt3 on my laptop (running windows7) and after it downloaded, and asked me to install postgres, a msg popped up and said "the installation pckg could not be opened. contact the application vendor to verify this is a valid windows installer"

What do I need to do?

It also says pokertracker has committed a fatal error. It wants me to reproduce the crash. Whatever that means.

EDIT: fwiw, I was trying to download the beta version.

I understand and once our website is back up if you send us some of the mistagged tournaments we'll look into what we can do to improve our tagging system for the future.

If you get PostgreSQL from this link and then unzip it and install it, it should work properly. I don't know what is causing this new error - it seems to have started this morning - and we will be looking into it and getting it fixed.

Also, as a general note: we are aware that our website is currently down. We are working to get it back up ASAP.

what's with the website being down? I managed to produce another access violation for tarix!
02-09-2011 , 06:06 PM
Is it just me or is the registration server down now as well.
02-09-2011 , 06:31 PM
website just came back up for me- was able to access the forums and post

Everything should be back up and running now; we apologize for any inconvenience. We upgraded some servers last night and there were a few lingering affects, which should now be completely corrected.

bonflizubi: Do you have a ticket for the access violation?

Hi all, my Pokertracker was working fine until today when I opened the program. I was given this error message:

"Unable to connect to postgreSQL database:
PT3_2011_02_09_194127 Reason: Unable to login to database
(PT3_2011_02_09_194127). Reason: could not connect to
server: Connection refused (0x0000274D/10061) Is the server
running on host "???" and accepting TCI/IP connetions on port 5432?

Any ideas what's causing this, and how to fix it?

Thanks!

Kraada, what exactly do I click on when I reach that site? It's showing me a bunch of diff flags for countries.

I see 3 diff flags for the USA, and each says "FTP" under it. Does that mean it will only work on FT?

PS will stop offering DONs so it doesnt matter to me anymore.
thx though

pt3 seems to fail completely at automatically filling in finish position/winnings while I'm playing turbo husngs on stars. it also randomly fails to figure out the blind structure sometimes deciding it is regular speed, sometimes turbo. it always decides that they are MTTs for some reason.

is there some simple mechanism to fix this, is there an option to just auto-import tournament summaries that i'm not seeing. articles on the pt forums about this issue simply cover manually importing.

Do you have your tournament summaries set to save in Stars? If so, please attach the hands and summary from one tournament that is not importing properly to a support ticket so that we can investigate further for you.

Yes, I saw, but we'll need to keep it in mind for the fifty50s so getting this sort of thing fixed is still preferable.

Those are all mirrors of the download - FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol - it's how the file will get to you. Pick a country near you (as you'll get a faster download speed that way), and the file will download. All of those links are for the same file.

Did you change anything yesterday? Is PostgreSQL still installed on your machine?

Yes I reported it on the pt sire when it came up inthe alpha forum
02-10-2011 , 01:23 PM
Ok, I just wanted to make sure - without a ticket these sorts of things can slip through the cracks.

I tried to search a little in the forum but couldn't find a answer.

When I play €-tables the hands get imported and I can see them under general. However under the "Winnings"-tab, there are no losses or wins in euro. I think they have just been converted to USD by using 1:1.

For example, when I watch the daily hands I can see a lot of hands where I lost .25$ (since I was in the BB). But I don't see hands where I lost .25€ or .34$.

I tried to play around with the "Configure Currency" option but it didn't help.

I think my winnings are not listed correctly therefore. Can someone tell me what I do wrong?
02-10-2011 , 04:36 PM
You have to add the Amount Won (Global) stat to your Winnings tab - the default Amount Won stat does no conversion. We plan on changing the defaults in the future to Amount Won (Global) though I'm not certain when exactly that will be occurring. You also do need to get spot prices on the Configure Currency tab which you can do by highlighting sessions and clicking the "Set Rate" button.

thank you for the fast answer. Works perfectly now

I can manually import the tournament summaries to get the proper data, that isn't the problem. I see nothing to make the summaries auto-import, or to set where the summary directory is located if it were to try. Is this a feature that pt3 has?
02-10-2011 , 07:39 PM
Yes, you can import from the tournament summary directory in PT3 when you're using our latest Beta version. Once you have tournament summaries set to save, just re-run the Setup Wizard (File --> Setup Wizard) and the directory should be automatically detected.
