Is your cache showing at 100% in the status bar of PT3? If not, run Database > Housekeeping with the default options ticked.

Another thing which can cause that kind of behaviour is having gaps in your Player Ranges settings in the HUD Options.

If you are still seeing this issue please report your problem so that we can investigate further.

I just downloaded version 3.09 for mac after not having updated PT3 in a few months and the installation went fine but when the program is loading it freezes every time when the oval poker tracker logo comes up. Is there something obvious I'm missing to fix this or is there a way to revert to a previous version because I've never had this problem before. Thanks

When is RUSH HUD going to work with Macs?

Please reboot your Mac then drag PokerTracker from Applications to the Trash and rerun the PT3 installer.
If it still won't start please report your problem so that we can investigate further.


I don't have a date for this – Mac OS explicitly prevents the kind of interaction the PT3 needs with the Full Tilt application in order to monitor Rush tables.

Also, just recently Bodog had a software update. I don't think the hand grabber and the HUD are working as a result of this.

I posted this on the wrong place originally and was "closed" by the moderator. Now I see that 2+2 and probably Harrington has vested interested in Poker Tracker. I suspect there's no help from this place but I simply want my money back for a service I paid for that didn't work "for me." I'd also like to get Poker Tracker and SQL off my very private computer. Here's my post. If you want to know how mad I am just imagine Harrington with his few strands of white hair on fire.

If you want to try Poker Tracker, take the free one month offer. Don't pay for it up front. I bought it, $89, due to a recommendation in Harrington's "Online Cash Games." It's a good Harrington book, per usual. It's 500 pages(!) and, unlike some otherwise good 2+2 books I own, it's well bound--you can open the pages flat and it doesn't fall apart. I like Harrington's books for the poker examples/thought problems. In this book he talks up HUD programs and his examples use HUD examples. So, I bought Poker Tracker. I've always worried that such programs would junk up my screen but he made an impressive case for them.

Turns out that the SQL database for Poker Tracker would not install on my computer and, in fact, one of their screens got frozen on my screen and I messed around with it for 2-3 hours to no avail. The SQL folks are database geniuses no doubt but they don't have a clue about human interface. If you looked up user-ugly in the dictionary it would simply say "SQL."

I have emailed Poker Tracker and SQL for installation help with no helpful response. They seem to think I should waste more hours of my time doing my own research on their own website. I bought Poker Tracker to use, not practice researching. I then asked for my money back with no response whatsoever. I posted a request for my money back on the website and they blew it off.

Right now I would just like to get Poker Tracker and SQL off of my computer --they won't let Windows7 uninstall, of course. I don't want to waste more hours of my life plodding through their website. I have many bad things to say about Poker Tracker and their lack of customer service--but it wouldn't help, would it? I enjoy playing poker and don't need a lot of additional bs.

If anybody can help me with how to uninstall these programs I would be grateful.

I understand that the development team have a fix for this after the Bodog software update. I don't have an exact release schedule yet as it will need to be tested internally, but I don't expect it to be too long.

per Derek at Poker Tracker I am being refunded my 89 bucks. I am grateful. One of my sons has offered to do the reformat reload for me this weekend. I will be rid of this stuff forever.

Ironically, I just received an email from PostgreSQL offering to tutor me in databases for a fee. Not today.

I cant get this thing to work . I'm about to break stuff lol . Can someone help me set this thing up ? I'm on skype , same username . I only have the chat though , no mic . Anyhow , I cant seem to get pokertracker to recognise the postgreslq . Any help would be appreciated greatly . ty

WhiteRider, I wanted to download the 60day free trial of pt3, and wasn't sure if I should DL the 3.08.1 version or the 3.09BETA one?

If it matters, I'm on a laptop w/ Windows7.

Also, I haven't used pt3 for about a year, and (that's why I'm downloading another free trial on this pc) wanted to know if I'd encounter any issues using Windows7? I used to have XP, so that's why I'm asking.

I'd suggest 3.09 - it's a Beta version but it's pretty stable and has a few fixes over 3.08.1.

You just import the file into PT3 on the HUD Options window - you don't need to open it outside of PT3. If it is a .zip file that you downloaded then you need to extract the layout file from it first, but you should just be able to double click to open the .zip.

I am on the list of users needing help with PT3.

I have a laptop running windows 7. Pokerstars software. I downloaded the newest beta version.

All of my folders seem to be set correclty on both Pokerstars and the PT3 software. The issue I am having is, the software will import probably 4 or 5 hands when I start, the it just quits importing. It still shows the Pokerstars, "running," the HUD will stay up, it just wont update at all.

Please check the PokerStars Configuration Guide in the Documentation to make sure you have things set up correctly, and the FAQ: PT3 HUD which has solutions to common issues and a link to how to report your problem if it doesn't help.

I imagine it's the same as the all in EV line on PT3 cash games graphs.

You can see the EV line in the tournaments graph is you graph for hands played with winnings in chips or BB. EV is only calculated on a per-hand basis, so you need to be looking at the graph of hand results rather than tournament winnings.

VP$IP and PFR numbers different in PT3 and HEM


I have a VP$IP 12.36 and a PFR 9.92 in PT3 but the same hand sample is 12.6 and 10.1 in HEM.

Are the numbers of hands identical? Can you pinpoint any individual hand or session where the numbers differ? If we could narrow down what is going on it would help considerably. We haven't had any complaints about VP$IP or PFR for as far back as I can remember.

i have the following problem

now it look like this:



u can see on days like 17/18th that some hands are missing. the only thing i did was editing aliases (removing/adding)

then i did a cluster etc to see if that changes something it didnt. then i reimported the hands from the processed folder, it was all duplicates tho.

so somewhere must have been hands lost in the process. why is that and what can i do to get them back in (filters are also unchecked)
