i set directy to main folder for HH
how do i set direct to secondary folder for observe HH
at the same time. while i playing poker

set it to the top "HandHistory" folder for both. Use PT3 auto import options to separate observed / played hands in to different databases.

Pointless venture imo - put em all in the same DB, purge old observed HH when the functionality is added.

I may just be ******ed but I'm having a problem with filters. I wanted to filter for hands where I flatted a raise preflop, but when I used the filter "cold call", it didn't filter out any hands. Do the filters only work on specific tabs? Do I need to indicate which screen name is mine somehow so that PT knows which hands to apply the filter to?

Also, I think it would be nice to have something that clearly shows the active filters outside of the filter window the way HM does - sometimes in HM I was getting all confused like "wtf these stats are not right" because I forgot I had a filter active, and that was despite something already on the screen showing me, so I suspect in PT3 right now that problem would be even worse (if I could get filters working).

"This version of PokerTracker is about to expire."

Just so you won't forget.

Under Import/Auto Import/Full Tilt/Full Tilt Configuration

Set it to import from "C:\Program Files\Full Tilt Poker\HandHistory\". All the subfolders will be imported as well.

There were some problems with filters in the last beta. These have since been fixed, so your problem may not exist in the next version.

The next beta will show which filters you have active right on the tab, so you'll be able to tell at a glance what you're filtering on.

Should have a new beta out before it expires.

Did PT3 not automatically recognize and configure your Full Tilt directory?

I recently rearranged my network and now my postgreSQL database is at a different IP address. I downloaded PT3b3 and created a new empty database with no problem. For some reason, when I try to convert my PT2 database it keeps trying to find my postgreSQL server at the IP address it used to be at instead of the one it is at now. The IP address it is trying to access is the one where the server was when I created a database for PT3b1. What is going on?

Currently, PT3 only checks for PT2 databases on the server you first configured it for. You can change this by manually editing the PokerTracker.cfg file in the Data\Config directory.

I'm getting a new computer. What would be the best way to transfer the database from my old computer to the new one? Should I just wait until PT3 to transfer?

If you want to keep PT2, use the backup feature to save the existing data, then on your new computer, use the restore feature. If you want to use PT3 exclusively, then you need to export your hand histories and transfer them to your new computer.

Beta 4 Released

Added:
  • Player Icons
  • Settings! You can now set your player name and configure the icon descriptions.
  • Player aliases are transferred in the conversion process
  • Report resizing
  • "Set Active" button to database management
Changed:
  • Royal Flushes will now be labeled as such instead of Straight Flush, Ace High
  • Default PostgreSQL version is now 8.3
  • Aliases now have an easy way to search for player names
  • Unsupported game messages are now warnings instead of errors
  • Indicates when tournament summaries are imported
  • The 'Expand' button is disabled now until the report is populated
Fixed:
  • Stat accuracy issues
  • Import crashing issues
  • Inactive tab coloring
  • Winnings by Day summary is now averages again
  • PT2 conversion crashes and lockups and other bugs
  • At-startup Admin rights checking

This beta is mostly a bug fix release. Hundreds of stat accuracy and other bugs have been fixed. Stability has been improved even more. PT2 conversions should now actually work.

Some features to note. You can now set your player name in the settings and PT3 will automatically load your stats on startup. You can now assign icons to players, although auto-rate functionality does not yet exist. You can now resize the reports on the tabs. Simply place your cursor in the area between the reports, click and drag.

Getting PT3 to the stage it's at right now took longer than anticipated. Stat accuracy has been a priority, because if the stats aren't accurate, what good is the software? I'm sure there are some hidden issues left, but I think for the most part, the stats are accurate. Please compare stats between PT3 and PT2 and let us know if you find any discrepancies. There will be minor differences in some stats due to the fact that PT3 takes a more academic stance as far as winning hands go. If you split a pot with someone but lose money due to the rake, PT3 still considers this as a won hand, whereas PT2 considers it a lost hand. So stats such as Won $ At Showdown and Won When Saw Flop will be a little higher in PT3 than in PT2.

Fortunately, the most difficult part of development is behind us. Visible progress should happen much quicker now. The next beta should have many exciting new features. I want to thank every tester who took the time to submit a bug report and work with us to fix the problems. We appreciate your help and have a much better product because of it.

Can I use the DB from build 3 or need I re-import again?
02-13-2008 , 02:44 PM
You'll need to re-import into a new database. There have been a number of database changes since the last beta.

Will we have to do this to every time there is a new beta?
02-13-2008 , 04:16 PM
Possibly. Because we are making so many changes and improvements, the database schema needs to change often. Eventually it will stabilize, but until the commercial release, you'll probably have to create a new database for most releases. Probably not all, but most.

We plan on making it so these database changes happen automatically when you load the new version, but we've been focusing on other features. Since imports are pretty fast, re-importing hands shouldn't be a big deal, unless you have millions of hands. Even then, they can import overnight.

woooo, i delete the old database
now i have to re-enter the tournment result again....wooo wooo wooo ( crybaby )

Yeah, eventually export functionality will be added in addition to not having to manually create a new database and re-import hands.

This is on my list of features to add. Hopefully I'll be able to get it into the next beta.

Extract HH from PT2, import it manually to PT3, no problem for ring games HHs (not get in to the details yet) but the tournament tab is blank.
When importing, the process looks normal, there are still those "Unexpected end at Hand ..." thing, or something like that, but besides that every thing seems normal.

Importing speed maximized xxx BTW
02-13-2008 , 07:10 PM
ok false alarm..
restart PT3 twice, now the tournament tab isn't blank, but I only got 7 $6,5 SNG at pokerstars instead of 1000ish and there are only 1593 instead of 2267 FT tourney and no tourney summary imprted for both site.

edit: ring games import, -1bb at FT than PT2 and shows the same amount won at PT2 but -4.71BB/100 hands at Stars? (i've checked and rechecked the filters at PT2)

Just a few questions, I don't play on any of the current sites supported by the beta so as much as I'd love to help test I cant.

Is there even a remote ETA on that ( adding supported sites )? Even if its not a date ( I know when its done when its done ) and just a list of stuff you want to get done first that would be cool to know.

Secondly, I purchased PAhud after reading on the old PT3 thread that if we bought PAhud between now/release of PT3hud we would get the $25 off whatever the hud price is, does that still stand?

Thanks for all the hard work you guys are doing also.
Looking forward to the final product.
