I have just got started on UB. I have had PT3 for FTP with no problem. With UB I first had problems auto importing totally, but then figured out that I needed to download latest beta version. Meanhwile my first couple sessions on UB are imported but there is not any hand history. Just the session history (just shows how long I was at the table). I would like to know easiest way to go about manually importing hands to make up for first two sessions? Thanks

Try dragging the PokerTracker 3 application to the Trash and then follow the Mac: Basic Install Guide to re-install.
If you still have problems please create a Support ticket and one of our support technicians will help you sort things out.

You should be able to re-import the hand history files from the PokerTracker 3\Processed folder - since the hands wouldn't have been imported originally any missed information should now be imported. (Any hjands which have already been imported will be rejected as duplicates so if you're not sure exactly which files to import just import everything from the relevant days.)

if I want to use a 1 month old backup of c:\, delete all data there and rewrite it with 1 month old data and my actual database data is on e:\ will my database will still be as it is now?

should i do a database backup just in case? if yes is it possible to not use c:\ as temp space? i dont have enough space left at c:\.

If you have PostgreSQL installed on E: then everything should be fine, I think. If PostgreSQL is installed on C: with just the database itself on E: then I expect it will still be fine, but I wouldn't like to say for sure. Kraada is off today but he'll be able to give you a more conclusive answer tomorrow I'm sure.

I would always make a backup before doing anything like this, though.
PostgreSQL will use the TEMP environment variable in Windows to decide where to write the temp files so you could change that temporarily if you really can't free up enough space on c: - see this post for details. I'd suggest changing it back afterwards as it affects many other things too.
For reference, something like CCleaner can help you clear up disk space too.

postgres is installed on c: but database itself is on e:
i tried to change the temp variable but it doenst seem to work. pokertracker still displays "c: available: ... MB (TEMP Vol.)" and saves data somwhere on c:. should i expect this to change or doesnt pokertracker display a change there?

There are user variables in the top and system variables in the bottom in both categories i can find TMP and TEMP but i only have to change TEMP in the bottom right? i created the folder temp on e: and gave the variable temp in the bottom the value e:\temp, correct? why doesnt it work .

never mind. i solved it. had to change every directory of the 4 entrys.
please tell krada to give answer on the postgre c, db e question anyways.

Kraada will check this thread when he comes on tomorrow.
Were you able to make your database backup now?
05-31-2010 , 03:14 PM
its still processing. but yes it seems so.
05-31-2010 , 03:56 PM
OK, great - I'm sure you'll hear from Kraada tomorrow.

I am using the Mac software on UB.com.

I'm having problem playing some tournaments. The hud keeps going on to the Tourney Lobby instead of the Poker Table. It's not on every tourney either.

So what shall I do?

Please report your problem so that we can investigate further - there do seem to be some cases where the HUD attaches to the wrong window and we're trying to find out why.

How do you import hand history from an email. I think I need to configure it or something. It asks me for a server and password?
06-01-2010 , 10:45 AM
About the PostgreSQL multi-drive question: It depends on how you've set up your system. If you're using a tablespace to move the entire database, things will likely work out okay if you had the database in a stable, stopped state at the time you took your 1 month old backup as pg_xlog and pg_clog are still going to be on your primary drive. If those are registering transactions in progress that need to be re-done, I'm not sure what would happen and don't expect it would be good. If you actually have the whole $PGDATA directory on your storage drive, then you likely won't have any problems at all no matter what was going on when you took the backup of the C: drive. Either way a database backup is a must - once you have a backup you can definitely restore no matter what happens.

That's the user and password for your e-mail server. Please take a look at this tutorial.

If someone else is having this problem I found a solution until the developers fixed the issue.

When you have the hud going. Close your tourney table and open it up again. Make sure it opens as the last window(I think. I got this idea when I opened up my BitTorrent application and it suddenly hooked up there. So I think it hooks up with the last table being opened.)

That shouldn't be happening - if you can cause this to happen consistently please report the problem so that we can get it fixed.

Unfortunately Stars will not let us accept payment in this fashion.

It depends on what you're trying to do with the data. If you just want to see your winrate at different times of day, use the Sessions tab's Session - Details report.

There unfortunately is no easy way to do this at this point in time.

Whiterider,

been using pt3 on trial version, for 58 days now. In turn, I wish to buy it, problem is my credit card expired and I have yet to get my new one ( they sent it to and old home address), as such I won't have my new card for 4-7 business days, at which time my trial period will be over.

My question is what happens once my trial is over? will I still be able to use my purchased registration code for the pt3 on my computer, as I obviously i don't want to lose these hands...etc.

thanks

Sorry if this has been covered. But I did a search and could not find it. I am using a trial version of poker tracker three. Yesterday was my first day using it. I played in a rush 135 tournament on FT. The HUD never popped up on my screen. The hands were being downloaded to poker tracker but no hud. I finished 10th so I made it far enough where I would assume there would be enough hands for it to pop up. Does it need more hands? Thanks and any help would be great, Mike

You won't lose anything when your trial ends.
Once you register PT3 you'll be able to pick up with exactly the same configuration, database and hands.

You need to be using v3.07.1 for the HUD to work at Rush tournaments.

Is there a way to filter the hands using my cards and the opponent's?

I'd like to be able to filter every hand by where I am when I get all-in preflop (Coin flip, dominated, etc.)
