Re: Rush Poker Sessions are Split in PokerTracker

Make sure you are running the latest beta version (currently 30.7).

Re: Rush Poker Sessions are Split in PokerTracker

Two questions- do I just download the whole beta version and let PokerTracker handle the upgrade process or is there a special "upgrade" version?

If I am currently in a trial, will PT still allow me to install the upgrade?

Just download the beta. It will do the update for you. Your trial will continue.

I don't know if this is the right place or not, hope it is.

Anyhow, I'm looking over my PT3 stats trying to correct and maintain positional awareness. When I click on a certain posistion under the posistion tabs (Ex:5th posistion) it lists hands in the second window. Why is it listing hands like 63o that I kno for a fact that I did not play? It has 0 or n/a listed all the way across the board.

Re: PokerTracker 3 - Build 5.2 (60 day trial) - 22-Aug-2009

How can I replay a hand in REAL time ? Every time I press play the bets/flop/turn/river comes VERY FAST and I want to see in REAL time how fast a player has bet or checked me. I'm on the trial version btw.

Also, I don't know if this is the right thread to ask this but can someone tell me a couple of videos from a training site(I need to decide which one I'm gonna sign up) I can watch that explain how I should interpret some of the stats from PT3.

I have PT3 for holdem, and want the same for omaha 08. Do I need to download a separate application or just buy an additional licence?

Thanks

Because you were dealt it in that position - if you highlight the row in the second report, you'll see the specifics on those hands in the third report. In that case you probably just folded the hand and it may not be interesting but there might come a time where you remember in some session you had 63o on the button and didn't play it but the hand was interesting because of what your opponents did - then it would be a lot easier to find!

PT3 doesn't store the actual amount of time taken by the player so PT3 doesn't know what the real amount of time was that passed between actions. Adding configurable play time has been requested and is on our list of features to implement - personally, I prefer to click it step by step anyway. If I'm analyzing hands in a replayer I'm thinking for a non trivial amount of time at each step.

This post contains links to classic information on using your PT stats to improve your game.

Right now Omaha support is in beta and free for use until its commercial release. If you download Beta 30.7 and upgrade to it, the Omaha tab is there and importing should work for most sites at this point.

Once Omaha's commercial release has passed you will need to upgrade to continue using it, and the pricing scheme is listed here - as a registered PT3 user you would pay the "add-on" price ($54.99 for a full stakes version, $29.99 for a micro stakes version).

Re: PokerTracker 3 - Build 5.2 (60 day trial) - 22-Aug-2009

I installed the beta version of PokerTracker recently. Since then I cannot launch it- the logo splash comes up and then it just hangs there. The postgre and pokertracker processes seem to be consuming CPU cycles so it looks like it is doing something but I let it run for an hour and nothing came up.

What can I do to fix this problem.

You have a few options:
(1) Wait until later today when Bet a 30.8 will be released - that version won't have this problem.
(2) Wait until PT3 finishes opening, it is rebuilding your cache and should finish in an hour or two.
(3) Downgrade to Beta 30.5, open up PT3, let it get past the splash screen into the main PT3 window, then upgrade back to Beta 30.7 and that shouldn't happen again for you.

If you can build the stat in any Player Statistics section (and you can build both of those), they can be displayed in the HUD, yes.

We're having a few major events this month. First, PT2 Holdem support is coming to an end at the end of this month. Anyone still using PT2 should look to upgrade now, as no new development or bug fixes will be happening after the 31st. Secondly, the beta tests of the Mac and the Omaha functionality is going to be ending. We want to thank everyone who helped us test the new functionality.

This release introduces support for a few more sites. We've also expanded the auto-rate functionality to work with Omaha. Players will no longer share a single icon for both Holdem and Omaha, they each now have their own.

We've also introduced new graph tabs for cash games. You can now choose different configuration options, like whether you want to see results in currency or in BB, whether you want to see results by hand, date, month or sessions. A new innovative option we've added to PT3's graphs is the ability to see stat values on the graph. Want to see how your VP$IP changes affect your winrate? You can do that. You can also choose which stats are on your info box, if you even want an info box at all. This will be expanded for tournaments in the future.

We've got some new filters in this version as well. There are way too many to list here, but check them out. I'm certain they will help in the pursuit of leaks.

In addition to the new features, we've fixed a large number of bugs. If you were experiencing any problems with the last beta, please try this one. Be sure to notify us of any problems you encounter.

Re: PokerTracker 3 - Build 5.2 (60 day trial) - 22-Aug-2009

i dont like how the new graphs look, old one had better look. (graph itself, transparency of info box etc)
is there some possibility to get omaha and holdem results in 1 graph?
will i be able to filter last x hands, hours etc some day?
why dont the stats from holdem (self added, also some of the normal ptr stats) dont work for omaha in the hud? how can i fix this?
is there some possibility to review the last hands or look at equitys after the hand got saved in poker tracker or without maximizing main pokertracker window?

Unified bankroll tracking and overall graphs have been requested and are on the development team's list for a future release, though I don't know at what point those features would become available.

We have Today and This week - how many hours would you like to see in addition? Last X hands has been requested and it's something we are looking into.

Have you converted the stats to Omaha statistics? In Configure --> Configure Statistics --> Holdem Cash Player Statistics and go to the Stats tab. Choose the statistic that you want to convert to Omaha, select Omaha from the drop down and click the Convert To button and you should convert that stat to Omaha. Update your cache and the stat should then be available in the Omaha HUD.

I'm not sure what you mean by your last question could you elaborate a little more please?

Re: PokerTracker 3 - Build 5.2 (60 day trial) - 22-Aug-2009

One thing with the graphs...

There should be some way to set parameters when using the session statistics option. For example, if I want to see how W$@SD is impacting my overall winnings, it would be a lot easier to compare if I could limit W$@SD to my expected range (35-70% or whatever) instead of the full 0-100% default option. (If I'm just missing how to change this, let me know). Same thing with a lot of other statistics that have even narrower ranges.

And since you've been working on the graphs...

Any chance for my idea from awhile back about building in a Fixed Limit equivalent all-in EV calculation/graph to be built in? If you don't remember what I'm talking about, I wanted some measurement of how us Fixed Limit guys are running. You would start with all hands that we take to showdown, then back the action to the turn and calculate equity as if we were AI as of the turn. If you wanted, you could also do an additional measurement where you take all hands that we take to showdown and back them up to the flop and treat us as AI as of the flop, but that's perhaps asking for a bit too much so just the turn would be fine.

Thanks.

will I be able to use the converted stats also in texas holdem then or just omaha or holdem? Can i convert all stats at once?

Last question:
After a hand is over i might be insterested in the equity I had on each street. And maybe I want to review the hand shortly after I played it easily with grafics (not animation like in main client). It would be nice if i could open the last couple of hands very easily from the table in an extra window and see equitys etc.

Another question: Can I somehow filter for marked hands only? Can I see equitys in pokertracker?

Street by street equity calculations are going to be added to the database though I don't know at exactly what point. I also expect that we are far from done with graphing improvements - changing the scale would be a nice place to start

You convert a stat from one type to another type but the original stat isn't deleted. So if you convert a Holdem Cash Player Statistic stat to Omaha, it's then in both Holdem and Omaha.

A last hand window is planned though I don't know at what point it will be available.

You can see equity in the PT3 replayer though for Hold'em (it's the percentages next to your name).

See the Tutorial: Marking Hands for Review for more on how to filter to marked hands.

You can create a new database via Database --> Database Management --> New, then delete your old database from that window but be advised that by doing so all of your opponents' data will be deleted as well. You could also create a filter to only show your data from a certain date which would keep your opponents' data in the database but only show you your recent results in the main tracker.

You'll need to create a new database and reimport your hands - your PT3 database is not stored in the PT3 folder. The database PT3 is looking for no longer exists so you can remove it from the Database Management window.

We're aware of this issue in Beta 30.8. Hang on to the file, I'm sure it will be fixed for the next release. Alternatively you can re-install 30.7 (same download link, just change the 8 for a 7).
