Please read the Tutorial: Preferred Seating. "Sit me here" is not supported, but normal preferred seats work fine.


Please report your problem - there shouldn't be any problems with the HUD at Stars.

Tried do a search to awsner question, but no results, so here it goes...

Im reinstalling pt3 on windows 7. And a message appears saying i need service pack 1 for windows vista for postgreSQL to work. Is vista and 7 essentially the same? How should I deal with this? Thnx.

As u can see i've my Cash Hud right, but my HUD is just the default starting HUD.

When i play omaha tournaments, nlhe tournaments, nlhe cash it's all okey!

But when i play omaha cash ( main game ) i see default.. how can this happen and what can i do?

If you're using 7 then you don't need to worry about Vista SP1.

how to calculate EV in the macs?

Please follow up with them in the ticket - the more information you can give them the easier it will be to sort out the issue.
If you mouse-over the PT-icon it tells you the name of the profile being used - is it the correct one? Can you change it via PT-icon > Change Profile?


The EV graph is available on the Cash Games > Graphs tab - select it from the dropdown list at the top.
Currently that is the only EV functionality - this will be extended but I don't have a date for it yet.

Tournament EV is much more complicated, because it is affected by the tournament situation, not just the cards that you and your opponent have. I expect that tournament EV will be added at some point, but I don't know when.

I've been playing poker online for a long time, and have had software for a while, but I still feel like a noob. What are some good tips on improving your play through PT3? (examples: filters, biggest lost pots, etc).

I plan on watching some tutorials on poker tracker and training sites. Thanks in advance.

I just started taking notes in PT instead of the poker software, because I regularly lost many of my notes.
I have a big DB in PT3, so it takes very long (up to 1 minute) until I can see the data and also the notes of a player.
Is there any way, to get to the notes faster (maybie directly over the HUD)?

it wont let me do it on the trial version so i need to see if there is a way around it

Click Start --> Programs --> PostgreSQL --> psql to 'postgres'. At the prompt type:

Not yet. The technology for doing this is different for the Mac. We are working on it, but it's going to take some time.

Those of you having Hud performance problems should see a significant difference in this release. We have made some changes to the cache. As long as your cache is 100% before you start auto-import, it will be automatically updated after each hand. In addition to that, the Hud has been altered to use cache-exclusive queries in this case. What does that mean? The Hud queries, which are the source of most Hud performance issues, will be extremely fast.

This new cache change brings along another nice feature. Incremental cache updates. If PT3 doesn't detect new columns (from custom stats, or imported in with a Hud profile or report), the cache won't be recreated from scratch. This means cache updating during housekeeping should be significantly faster. Please note that purging hands or adjusting limits of sessions results in a purged cache, so you'll need to rebuild after those two activities.

That leads us to the next new feature. The Adjust Limit window. From the Database Management window, you can now change the limit of a session. Keep in mind, this will clear your cache, so it's recommended to do after you're done playing, so your cache can repopulate in time for your next session.

We've added summaries to both Holdem Tournaments and Omaha Tournaments. We've also added some highly requested filters in terms of dates. You can now set the "Today" or "This Month" or "This Year" filter and PT3 will automatically filter to those dates. This is just the beginning of a whole lot of new filters we're going to be adding to PT3.

In addition to those new features, we've fixed a number of bugs for this release. If you've encountered random crashes in PT3, we hope to have solved that problem. If you use Full Tilt's run it twice option, those hands should import without problem as well, although some stats and filters that rely on hand type might not work properly (due to only having partial information in the database).

Please let us know if you encounter any problems with this version.

People really had trouble filtering that using dates? Today = since 2/12/10. This month = since 2/1/10. This Year = since 1/1/10.

I guess the "today" one might be useful if it auto-switches each day and you happen to like only looking at your extremely short-term results...

My Avira found a suspected trojan tr.cryptxpack.gen in the latest release. After a search on the net I found that this should be a false positive, so I made an exception in Avira with PT3. Just to be sure: am I right?

Leroy, the filters are indeed for convenience so you don't have to keep selecting the date manually.

I configured it and reconfigured it and for some reason when i click on it it doesnt pop up?? I just bought it today!!! How do i get it towork
