Thanx.
I responded to your other thread about this, but if you see the HUD FAQ it will walk you through changing the statistics in your HUD.

The default username is postgres, the default Windows user password is svcPASS83 and the default database password is dbpass.

re: PokerTracker 3 - Build 5.2 (60 day trial) - 22-Aug-2009

Beta 29.1 is working great for me. A few suggestions as I was playing with it:

1 - Graphing needs sorting out. I need to get some succour from my EV line

2 - Stats - Make the 'basic' stats (ie those that are present in the default install) more complete - eg donk flop is missing, fold to a preflop bet (I think) is missing, etc etc. I know you can easily add them from the repository but it would be nice to have them there as default.

3 - Stats - add the option to display positional stats as 'SB/BB/number of seats off the button' rather than 'SB/BB/early/middle/late'.

4 - HUD - color coded notes, option to make text bigger

5 - HUD - One click add to buddy list from hud

6 - HUD - ability to copy groups from one HUD layout to another (so, if I create a complex popup in one layout I can just copy it over to another layout without having to recreate it from scratch)

re: PokerTracker 3 - Build 5.2 (60 day trial) - 22-Aug-2009

I am nearing the end of my trial, and I really want to decide to pay for PT3. The main issue that's keeping me from doing it is the lack of auto-getting tourney results. I know that this issue has been addressed, but can anyone confirm, for certain, that this feature WILL be added to this version?

Also, after I import tourney results, they are not incorporated into my stats until/unless I hit the refresh button. PT3 should automatically refresh these stats after import.

(1) This is obviously planned, though I don't know when this will be implemented for certain.

(2) What do you mean by a preflop "bet"? There's only preflop raise, and if you probably want to be more looking at Call PFR and 3-bet, then if they don't call or 3bet they're folding . . .

(3) I'm not certain if this is going to happen but I do know that EP/MP/LP will be more easily configurable eventually. Though by that point it might not be too difficult to add another couple of "custom" sets.

(4) Color coded notes are planned. The text size for the HUD is configurable via the Statistics Properties box; you're right that we need a solution for the Note Editor though.

(5 & 6) Definitely planned.

Have you taken a look at this AHK script? It might help (if you're playing at Stars). I am fairly certain that more automation on tournament summaries is planned though you'd need to have an e-mail configured for import for everything to be truly automatic. Regardless, I don't know when those features will be added.

Being able to configure PT3 to refresh after imports are complete is a planned feature addition though again, I don't know when we will be getting to it.

Yes, I am using that script already, and it helps, but it is still a hassle that the end-user shouldn't have to deal with. I do, however, have an email account set up strictly for this purpose, so hopefully the feature will be added.

I understand that you can't pin-point an exact date when such a feature will be added, but could the developers possible assure us that it's coming soon enough so that if new users register now we won't have to pay to upgrade for this feature?

PT3 suddenly makes Party lag like crazy

I have played on Party using PT3 for a long time now and it has always worked fine. Since yesterday it has lagged soo much that i barrely can play tho. When i close down PT3 it works perfect again.
I have tried rebooting my computer and used housekeeping in PT but it doesn't make it better. I also virus-scanned my computer, but nothing.

I am really clueless as to how this can happen from one day to another so i really hope some of you have any suggestions.

New Database for PT3

Hey everyone,
I have been playing for about a year and a half and my first year or so I didn't study like I should have an donked off several thousand dollars. I feel like I have made some improvments on my game but my database still reflects a fairly negative result. I was wondering what you guys think about starting a new database from my last 6 months imported from my old database. Thanks,

Aberdo

No way man, that's cheating !

/sarcasm

If you want to make a new database, do it. It's not like it's a competition or something, you really don't have to ask "permission"

Keep the old one, but make a new one. Every couple of months, export the new into the old so you have your full history. When the new DB gets too big/slow, start a third DB with only the most recent few months or X number of hands in it (Villain's stats will be more recent and more accurate of how they play now). Rinse and repeat.

I'll ask to see what I can find out. For what it's worth though, I can confirm there won't be any upgrade costs to any release in the PT3 line, and we are planning on continuing to develop the PT3 line for at least another couple of years. I would sincerely hope that this feature comes out long before we're looking at a PT4 release.

What version of PT3 are you using? If you're not using Beta 29.1, please upgrade to that version to see if it helps.

Absolutely do it if you want. Alternately, you can consider adding a filter (see the Tutorial: Filters for detail on filters) to only show your data from a certain date onward, then you'll still have all of your data on your opponents.

This is also a valid option, it depends how much data you're using and the specs of your computer. If you're only playing a few thousand hands a month, you won't have speed problems for a long time.

This. As a point of comparison, I generally play 25-30k hands/month and start a new DB every 4-6 months or if I change sites that I play the majority of my hands at.

Though your stats always start over for each game/table, the people who you play against and have HUD also see the cumulative stats. Don't know why they do it like this. Maybe some one else knows.

What is wrong with my EV machine??

Note: This is not a BBV post. I do not enjoy telling bad beat stories. I think there is something wrong with my pokertracker. Please help. A thousand apologies if this question has been posted before.

I use pokertracker 3, micro edition and play only .05/.10 NLHE on Pokerstars. From the beginning, I thought there might be something wrong with the calculations behind the Expected Value - All in performance garph, but I told myself that I probably just didn't understand EV and I should stop whining.

Then, yesterday and today I had a couple hands that simply cannot understand. I was definitely very +EV when the money went in, but the graph shows an EV line that drops evenly with my Money Actually (Lost) line.

First, yesterday's odd hand.

Poker Stars $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

BB: $10.00
UTG: $39.85
MP: $6.85
CO: $12.90
Hero (BTN): $10.90
SB: $8.45

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is BTN with A A
UTG raises to $0.30, MP calls $0.30, 1 fold, Hero raises to $1.30, 2 folds, UTG calls $1, MP calls $1

Flop: ($4.05) 9 5 9 (3 players)
UTG checks, MP checks, Hero bets $2.20, UTG folds, MP calls $2.20

Turn: ($8.45) K (2 players)
MP checks, Hero bets $3.60, MP calls $3.35 all in

River: ($15.15) 5 (2 players - 1 is all in)

Final Pot: $15.15
MP shows 8 5 (a full house, Fives full of Nines)
Hero shows A A (two pair, Aces and Nines)
MP wins $14.45
(Rake: $0.70)

This was the only hand I lost with AA yesterday, but my EV garph, filtered to yesterday and AA, looks like this:

The hand above is hand 10 on the garph (and the only hand I lost with AA yesterday). The EV line is parallel to the money won line, both going down. Clearly, the money line is correct because I lost, but I was never behind until the river and I was a 95% favorite on the turn, when a lot of the money went in. So my EV line should climb, no?

Next, today's odd hand.

Poker Stars $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players
The Official 2+2 Hand Converter Powered By DeucesCracked.com

CO: $10.00
BTN: $4.45
SB: $23.65
Hero (BB): $11.45
UTG: $11.85
MP: $10.10

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is BB with K K
2 folds, CO raises to $0.30, 2 folds, Hero raises to $1.10, CO calls $0.80

Flop: ($2.25) Q 6 7 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.60, CO raises to $5, Hero raises to $9.80, CO calls $3.90 all in

Turn: ($20.05) 8 (2 players - 1 is all in)

River: ($20.05) T (2 players - 1 is all in)

Final Pot: $20.05
CO shows T T (three of a kind, Tens)
Hero shows K K (a pair of Kings)
CO wins $19.10
(Rake: $0.95)

Nearly all of the money went in on the turn, when I was a 90% favorite, yet my pokertracker garph says I was -EV on this hand (the last one on the garph):

So what's the deal? Is there something I need to change to make my pokertracker read the hands correctly?

I'm using build 5.2.
But i really doubt updating will change the problem since it started several days after that patch release. I'm upgrading now tho, going to bed afterwards and will check it out when i wake up.

Anyway thanks for the answer

This way you can see what others think of you at the table. For players you haven't played with before, this will help you figure out what they think of you given how you've played on just this table.

Beta 29.1 is newer than Build 5.2; I'd recommend trying it, it does fix quite a few things since Build 5.2

Hipha,

I'm not sure why those hands aren't graphing properly, but we will look into it. For now, I'd recommend looking at HoldemLuck whose graph seems a bit more reliable.

I don't know when the next beta will be out - we're currently working on big features (Mac version and Omaha module) as well as bug fixes, but I don't know when they will be released.

Pokertracker Omaha iPoker

Hi Guys.

Cant seem to get Pokertracker Omaha to work on iPoker, could it have something to do with iPoker updating the software?

It imports the hands, but when checking stats it says wins 000,000,000,07 or something like that, the other stats seems to be ok?

Anybody else had this problem? How to fix it?

Also, with ipokers new currency tables (EUR, GBP) will this affect the stats if playing on these?

Nearly all of the money went in on the turn, when I was a 90% favorite, yet my pokertracker garph says I was -EV on this hand (the last one on the garph):

So what's the deal? Is there something I need to change to make my pokertracker read the hands correctly?
