Some notes on the new features:

New Feature: Pacific
Pacific Poker is putting out a new client that saves hand histories on its own, so a hand grabber will not be necessary. PT3 should import these with no problems once they are available, but some work may need to be done to automatically locate the hand history directory and so forth. Also, our TableTracker servers aren't quite ready for Pacific support just yet, but they should be up soon. Once they are up, this version should have no problems with it.

New Feature: Hud Profiles
You can now create multiple profiles for your Hud usage. You can export them and share them with your friends. With your export comes all your custom statistics as well, so all your friends need to do is import the file and they have your complete Hud profile. You can easily duplicate profiles between cash and tournaments and you can easily switch the profile that a table is currently using. This feature will be expanded in the future to allow you to select which profile to use with your choice of table types by default.

New Feature: Table opening for OnGame, Cereus and iPoker
This particular feature has not received a lot of testing, so it may prove to have some bugs. OnGame and iPoker *must* be launched through the PT3 interface in order to open tables. If your site performs an update, it might not work properly until it's restarted again.

New Feature: More Details
A new way of displaying information to you has been added to PT3. This method allows us to format data in an easy to read format. There is a new 'Details' tab available, and under the 'Sessions' tab, there is a new item in the drop down that shows your standard deviation, as well as your results by day of week and time of day.

New Feature: Hud on the Replayer
You can now have the option of having the Hud display on the replayer window. This is a great feature for session review. Not only do you get to relive the action, but now you'll see the stats just as you did when you made your decisions at the table. They are filtered to only show those stats you had at the time of the hand.

This release adds a number of highly requested features. We hope that they help make PT3 more valuable to you. We've also fixed a number of bugs, which should make PT3 more stable and reliable to you. We've also striven to get you these new features in a more timely manner than in the past. We will continue to strive for this pace. We are actively working on expanding our development team and streamlining our quality assurance and testing process. We want to thank those of you who take the time to work with our support staff to solve problems and locate bugs. Your patience and cooperation are greatly appreciated.

Thanks also to those of you who have submitted hands to us, but we still need more. We need hands from the following sites:
  • B2B
  • Betfair
  • Bodog
  • Cryptologic
  • Entraction
  • Microgaming Network
  • Tain Network
  • Tribeca
  • *Old* Ultimate Bet
  • World Poker Exchange
We need hand histories in all formats and both cash and tournament hands. For sites that use database files or single xml files or whatever, we need those as well as any datamining formats and PT2 exported formats. The more hand histories we get, the easier and faster it will be for us to get support added for the site. The sites above are not listed in the order we will be adding them. We have been going by http://pokerscout.com and adding the sites by size. We may continue to do this or we may skip around now that the unsupported sites are pretty similar in size. To submit your hand histories, please follow this link.

This Beta has a few problems. Not especially bugs, but a few annoyances you may want to be aware of:
- The HUD Layout was gone: I had to reposition all my stat groups. Probably because of the new export feature or because of the Replayer HUD.
- On the first day PT crashed when I clicked Show HUD in the Replayer. Now it works fine.
- In the Sessions - Details tab only the totals are in BB/100. The grid shows the share in the total BB/100. It's useless. We need BB/100 everywhere to be able to compare them.
- The Day Start Setting shifts the times in the Sessions - Details tab. E.g. if my session started at 17:00 and my day starts at 6 AM, then my session is listed under 11 AM. Why not use 24 hours everywhere instead of AM/PM anyway?

What "Improved custom stat expression validation" means? It always evaluates to NOT valid.

On the auto-import tab, click Full Tilt on the left, Full Tilt Configuration on the right and check "Auto-Center". PT3 can't support the Sit Me Here function for any other seat at this point.

The repositioning issue has happened to a few people but appears to be a one time thing; once you reposition and save they should be all set.

If you could enable logging and that crash comers up again, please send us the log files so that we can investigate what caused it.

I'll make this request to the development team.

I'm not sure how the day start setting functions but I'll ask about this one as well.

It validated everything that I tried; what are you trying to validate and getting it rejected?
02-21-2009 , 06:43 AM
I cannot validate even my old reports. I wanted to change

#Hands# > 2000

to

#Hands# > 1000,

but I couldn't. Even the original doesn't validate. Is it possible that I messed up something? I imported the normal filters from my old database as described in this thread:
http://www.pokertracker.com/forums/v...p?f=15&t=16194

and I backed up a few pt3 files earlier and now I put them back. Filters.xml.pte gone completely, I put it back a minute ago, but it didn't solve my problem.

It's possible that the validation of reports was damaged when the new validation scheme was implemented. I've already notified the head of QA to look into this one.

Yes, this is the case - the validation mechanism for stats was changed and it seems that this affects the filters in custom reports too. I have informed the development team about this and I expect it will be fixed for the next release. Any existing filters will be OK, but you won't be able to create any new ones with the affected columns for now. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Alternately you could downgrade to Build 4, build your report, then upgrade back to Beta 25 and it should work properly (or you could install Build 4 in another location on the same computer, create the report, export it and import it into Beta 25, if you think you'll be doing that a bunch), at least until Beta 26 comes out.
02-22-2009 , 03:58 PM
OK, guys, it's not so important right now. I'm glad I could help you.

I play NL 6MAX. Today, the HUD stats were not aligned with the correct player. It seems like they were laid out to be seats 1-6 in a 10 player table. I am still running beta 25 as I was before when it worked properly. Any suggestions?

my HUD stats dont show up on stars.. any idea?

Please go to the auto import tab, click on Preferences on the right and check Adjust Qualifying Table Limits and restart the import and that should fix it for you.

Please enable logging (Configure --> Options --> Logging Enabled and restart PT3) and attempt to import while playing for one full orbit then attach the C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\PokerTracker.log and C:\Program Files\PokerTracker 3\PokerTrackerHud.log files to a support ticket and we'll look into what could be causing this for you.

Is there an updated Developer's schedule?

Any idea when stuff like EV reports will be added?

EV stats are (as you probably know) planned, but I can't provide an ETA for when they will be added at this time. It is one of the high priority features that we want to add though, so it shouldn't be all that long. Please keep an eye on the Development Roadmap for updates. Until then though, I'd recommend having a look at HoldemLuck which is a great EV tool for PT3.

I've searched far and wide but I can't figure out how to get color-coded stack sizes. I can't find any mods online or in any of the forums for full tilt. I know HEM allows this and there are a few mods for pokerstars.

I've played around with the settings for the PT3 cash HUD but I can't seem to get either names or stack sizes colour coded to correspond to how big the stack is(preferably in BB's).

Is this a feature? Is it planned to be a feature?

Thanks,

JR

PT3 doesn't get any data about the current hand in play in the HUD, this was a design decision as with the custom statistics as powerful as they are if you had extensive access to data about the current hand it would be too easy to build "advice" stats telling you, basically, how to play.

What you can do is get stats for how someone has played historically when they have stacks of various sizes, and these stats will be available in my next Advanced HUD, which I hope to have out today (though it depends on how quickly I manage to finish these stats; I still need to build quite a few stats (only 8 columns left, then it's just putting the actual stats together and the table in the by-M popup), so I hope it'll get done today . . . but I don't want to promise and miss the deadline.

Beta 25

Is it just me or PT3 freeze every time. I mean it doesnt matter whether I'm 15, 10, or even 4 tabling (just now), there's always a freeze in a session.

Fwiw, I stacked my tables.

Mido - that shouldn't be happening.
Have you run Database -> Housekeeping recently to make sure your cache is up to date?
Have you defragged your hard drive - that can make a huge difference when doing so much disk access.
These may also help:
Performance Tuning: Hard Drives
Performance Tuning PostgreSQL

If you continue to have problems, enable logging, and next time you get a freeze submit your PokerTracker.log and PokerTrackerHUD.log files (zip/compress them first, call it logs.zip) to the Support system , and link to this thread in the reference field of the ticket so that we can investigate.

The Tourney HUD is posted, see the How To: Advanced HUD Configuration for the download. Please note it does require Beta 25.

Hi Kraada, have a little problem after housekeeping today..

Thought there was an issue with PostgreSQL so i reinstalled PostgreSQL but to no help.
It just says "Populating...."

Thanks.
could it be daylight saving?
